    Love how you explain easily how load is carrying in structure and how to fixe it…thanks so much

    If you use pinned as support base, you will have a large superstructure members while if you use fixed as support base, you will have a large foundation design.

    in this example the lateral load in x direction requires a pinned connection whereas the lateral load in y direction requires a fixed connection. I assume the base plate will be designed with the highest moment so in fact they will all be fixed base?

    1. Are these four blue anchor bolts nothing to do with the fixed connected support?
    2. Are the additional red anchor bolts responsible to resist moment, and it should be installed outside the flange zone?

    • @TonmoyMaity
      @TonmoyMaity  Před rokem

      Objective is to hold the flanges to resist tension coming due to moment.
