The one aspect of the Chris Benoit case that will always leave me scratching my head is that someone updated his wiki page, saying he killed himself and family, before anyone even knew they were dead. I mean, that's gotta be the most random coincidence ever if you really sit back and think about it.

It said that he missed the WWE show due to the death of his wife.
@@TranceMasterJack It's not made up. His Wikipedia page was edited around 11 hours before the discovery of the bodies, stating that he missed his ECW Championship match "due to personal issues Stemming from the death of his wife".
Weirdly enough the location of the edit was traced to Stamford Connecticut (where WWE headquarter is) where a 19 year old college student with a habit of editing Wiki pages, claimed that he came to this conclusion based on rumors he read online.

Crazy part about Benoit is that apparently he called Chavo and told him “I feel like someone is following me.” The day before his death.

From what I've read about Benoit is that his brain was severely damaged from years of concussions and the scarring on his brain was of an 80 year old alzeheimer's patient. With these impariments he was not able to distinguish reality and probably suffered from some sort of a mental and emotional breakdown. He needed urgent psychiatric help, but nobody realised how serious his condition was, sadly he turned on his family and did what he did. It is sad story.
A few days ago I listened to a podcast where they spoke with Chavo and he never mentioned this. He just said I love you"

One of the craziest things about the Benoit case is that there was two empty wine bottles in Chris's gym wastebasket the tox report said neither Chris or Nancy had alcohol in their system
False. Nancy had alcohol in her system. As for Chris, if he drank on Friday night and not again until his death, his body would have easily burned off any alcohol in that time.

ECW did kinda feel like a WWF subsidiary. WWF took so many ideas from ECW during the attitude era. It was mutually beneficial for both parties.
It wasn't a subsidiary in a true legal sense, it was more of a minor League, a farm system for WWE...
At one point Vince was paying ECW a grand a week after WWF poached 2 Cold Scorpio, as a record company were paying Heyman to use one of there songs as Scorp's theme tune...
That being said, while Vince didn't own ECW, he had a significant interest in it keeping afloat

I was born in 1992, so the attitude era was a huge part of my childhood. I've recently got back into watching clips from back in the day, kind of a revisiting of the more "innocent times" if you will. I remember watching the HHH Mcmahon wedding (vaguely), and then remember the Benoit tragedy though I'd fallen out of love with wrestling by then. I'm open to all sorts of alternative theories as, let's be real, the truth is not with the mainstream. So I found this very interesting. Thanks for the video man.
The Eddie and Chris one is crazy. Everytime Chris would wrestling he always had this pain in his eyes. Its hard to explain. I'm willing to bet he was a very closed off person with very select friends. Those two were like brothers.
Ironically the ppv that Owen died on was called ''Over The Edge''.
The gimmick was Owens' idea. I don't think Vince did it. Especially with Austin wrestling just fine in 1999 and drawing huge ratings.

1. WCW bash at the beach was a work. Hogan never returned to WCW tv while still under contract with TimeWarner.
2. David Von Erich died doing drugs in his hotel room and not the cause of gastroentritis.
Bruiser Brody flushed the evidence down the toilet.
Fritz Von Erich even refused to do a post mortem/Autopsy report.

They got rid of six sides buried top stars like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe Desmond Wolfe etc.
6. Ring of Honor were taking a hiatus and not on the verge of bankruptcy. Sinclair Broadcast lied about ROH returning in the future. They eventually sold up shop.
7. Brodie Lee death was lung related and not Covid 19. His sudden illness was a red flag.

The Shockmaster sabotage theory makes a lot of sense - at least the part where Jim Crockett didn't like the gimmick. I mean, as hilarious as it was, the fall wasn't even the most ridiculous-looking part of the whole thing
To me the worst part was Ole Anderson's Shockmaster voiceover. It was like a wish version of Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget.
Ultimate Warrior was not fired in 1991 he was suspended. It seems to be one of those confusing things to people as to whether or not he was suspended or fired. However, the letter that was given to Warrior from Vince states that he was suspended.

Bret Hart waving his hand in the air is no surprise. He did it after the broadcast, though. They always continue to roll cameras even after the show's over. There are many things that the cameras catch that you don't see on TV. WWE was willing to show it years later when needing juicy footage for their DVDs, documentaries, etc.
Not to mention the fact that they’ve gotten a lot of things on camera that they weren’t suppose to before.

Chris Jericho and Edge are proof that not all wrestlers should be given 100% creative freedom. Those 2 were some of my all time favorites but they have both become unwatchable for me in the last 4 or so years.

He had a back injury, it just wasn’t as bad as they played it up to be. He couldn’t wrestle cause he was a full-blown drug addict.
Bro watch his 98 Wrestlemania match, he could barely do the spots he’s known for, and if you actually watch the bump that did it, it did make contact.

I met Chris Benoit about 2 months before the killings, he was in Edmonton for a city hall Q&A, my parents took me and my family we were standing outside on the street when a big Limo pulled up infront of me and my family, being 7 I ran up to Chris once my dad pointed him out getting out the limo, Chris ended up giving me a hug and talked with me even telling his manager to fuck off as they were already late for the event, Chris ended up taking his WWE world heavyweight championship belt off and placing it on my shoulder for a photo, as far as I am aware i was the only person that event that got a picture with Chris that day, that is one of my favorite childhood memories, but thinking back on it as a 25 year old it's very somber knowing that I still have a photo with Chris all smiles and happy just to go home and end up doing the most horrific thing a parent can do, Rip to Nancy and there son

I remember Benoit from the WCW days and when I heard the news of this, of course it was a surprise. That said, if I had to pick a wrestler who seemed a little bit off, benoit would be it. Guy came off as psychotically intense and as if it wasn't just "an act." Steroids may not bother most people , but ,maybe someone chemically imbalanced like Benoit becomes a ticking time bomb.

I totally believe the Shawn and Vince sexual connection theory. I think it's safe to say Vince is a very sexually charged person and the amount of influence Shawn had over Vince in the 90's is unheard of. I believe Shawn's heavy drug use at the time would also contribute to this.Shawn was allowed to basically get away with anything behind the scenes and faced little to no consequences. Shawn also stayed on the payroll during his first retirement which was unheard of. I believe Shawn was literally Vinces boy toy.

Pro Wrestling has a long history of sexual deviancy behind the scenes. I remember hearing that Moolah would pimp out the younger female talent back in the day and Pat Patterson was a sexual predator who would harass young male talent and offer pushes for sexual favors. Vince fired Pat when the shit hit the fan and then rehired him once everything blew over. If Pat was engaging in this type of behavior and Vince was seemingly fine with it, it's not that hard to imagine that Vince was doing something similar.

The footage of Bret Hart writing WCW in the air at Survivor Series 1997 was released in early 2002 way after WCW folded. It was never aired on the PPV as they went off air very quickly. I believe it was first shown in the WWE Desire video.

Depending on the kind of treatment, doctors recommend reducing physical activities that could cause potential damage to the body because you tend not to heal as easily. If the leukemia returning is caught early enough, you would never be able to tell it. Believe me, blood work is the only way I found out I had leukemia.

But with that said I believe his absence was more drug related. In those 4 years he probably continued to use for a while, then got clean then worked the sobriety program before returning to the ring.
He was improved upon his return because he was sober and probably actively hitting the gym as part of his sobriety journey.

The Jimmy Snuka one makes a ton of sense honestly. The case didn’t go cold it was left open. Meaning they either neglected or just didn’t care about the case. It wasn’t like they didn’t have the evidence either they just simply didn’t look for any. Nancys family won a civil lawsuit the same year the murder occurred in 1983 and Jimmy wasn’t charged until 2015, over 30 years later. The jury said they believed he had assaulted her multiple times then left her in the bed to die.
Eeeehhhh. Have you seen Wrestling with Shadows, the doc about Bret leading up to the screw job? It definitely looks like the screw job was Vince not being happy with the match or the possibility that Bret would just leave with the belt in order to get himself over with WCW fans faster.

The nWo theory actually makes sense when you realise that Hall and Nash had a secret part in their contracts which specified that whenever a wrestler was paid more than them, WCW would have to match the salary of Hall and Nash to the specific superstar, making them go bankrupt on the inside. I can definitely buy into that theory.

Ehh, this isn't me defending that theory, but it makes sense to have both a 22-0 and 21-1 graphic.
1. They're trying to avoid leaks spoiling the outcome of the main event. If you have both graphics ready, that makes the winner of the match ambiguous.
2. What if plans were changed? What if either Brock or Taker were too injured to finish the match? Having two graphics ready would be one preparation for an unplanned outcome.

My favourite conspiracy has to be that the McMahons we see on TV and in the ring are not the real McMahons but paid actors, and the real McMahon family is never seen in the public eye.

I can say, from personal knowledge regarding Owen. He did not want to do this stunt that night at the PPV. He had made a call to Bret and had expressed his hesitance to doing the stunt and really didn't want to go thru with it that night. Owen had planned to leave the company. I do believe that Owen's death was no accident.
