12 Seconds in and I already had to pause the video to write this. "win or lose the cowboys are the story" is one of the most accurate statements I've heard all day watching coverage on the game. Besides Packers associated media, NOBODY has had anything good to say about GB in at least a dozen videos or segments I've watched. Cowboys, cowboys, cowboys all day today. Wake up everyone, the cowboys are out for the season and Green Bay is not, lets talk about them now... They deserve it.
FACTS
It’ll never happen, trust me when I tell you they always talk about who the packers beat this time of year
Maaaan, I was going to comment the same thing. Nobody’s give any props to the pack except Rich Eisman. He said maybe the Packers are that good and eluded to them beating the 49ers.
Now I understand not many will like that but at very least give them credit. Was it an accident they scored 48 points? Is it an accident they have quietly been one of the best teams since week nine? Again give them some credit and respect.
Let them keep hating. This team lets it fuel them
Thank you!!
*FINALLY, A SHOW THAT TALKED ABOUT THE PACKERS SUCCESS instead of cowboys collapse.*
As a bears fan, I hate to say it but it goes back even further - Bart Starr is a HOFer, Lynn Dickey honestly wasn't horrendous when you consider he played in an era where Joe Theisman and Jim McMahon won Super Bowls, and Don Majkowjski made the pro bowl before the rotator cuff injury changed his career. In short, it's organizational - they know how to find and develop QBs.
The formula is having an actual management heirarchy. It's not just Owner-》GM-》HC; It's Board of Directors -》President --》GM, Director of Operations (2 separate positions) -》 HC. Decisions have to have multiple inputs, not just the owner telling the GM to do something for the sake of doing something.
As much as I love Rodgers, when we drafted Love, I was one that wasn't mad about it. That draft year, Rodgers was coming off his worst season as a starter and the Packers needed to start thinking about the future. I give Rodgers credit for bouncing back and having a couple of great MVP seasons, but drafting Love instead of a receiver was the right decision. Go Pack Go!
I was happy for him going to the Jets. I was kinda disappointed in BG for only getting 3 picks for a HOF QB/HC/OC/Director of Player Personnel. (AR didn't sell popcorn, too, did he?)
How'd the old guy do this year, by the way?
I didn’t mind so much that they drafted Jordan love, but it did send a signal that they were giving up on that current team when they also got Matt, who was very green as a coach that’s the only part that really upsets me because the Packers were closed those years getting over the hump, and the fact that we didn’t draft anyone that high to help uswas obviously a move by the front office. I understand you have to move on one day it’s just that signals that you’re really giving up on the current roster for the next couple of years because as we know, historically the Packers do not go out and sign free agents. They’re all about in-house development which is good but then it can also be really bad.
@@anthony310h It wasn't that clear we were getting over any hump, though. In 2016 we were waxed by the Falcons in the NFCCG. 2017 Rodgers went down to injury. Gute takes over after the season, and in 2018 the cracks in the roster were beginning to show themselves from Ted Thompson's final few drafts. In 2019, Rodgers' production continued to plateau on efficiency and production marks (at uninspiring levels), and we were lit up by a highly efficient 49ers team despite spending big in free agency for some very productive players on defense (shout-out P. Smith).
There's not really much there heading into the 2020 NFL Draft to suggest we were trying to get over the hump at that point or even capable. People really underestimate how bad our roster was in 2018. With hindsight, Brian Gutenkunst has already rebuilt this team *twice* at this point. It's remarkable.
Anyone watching Rodgers through 2019 would not have believed he had 2020 and 2021 in him, and I truly do not think he wins those MVP awards (while turning us into a contender) without the Jordan Love pick. At the same time, the Jordan Love pick was far from irresponsible in the eyes of anyone watching Rodgers through 2019.
My receipt is there for everyone to see, I didn't see the pick coming but I have never hated the decision.
@@bobmartin1060 They wanted him gone. It all worked out...Aaron is such distraction...so glad when they got him up out of there!
I'm a Packers fan and truthfully I just wanted to see J Love get a fair shot. Rodgers was a great player but he was getting into some bad habits. Determining where he was going with the ball pre-snap, treating the middle of the field like it was the Bermuda Triangle, not utilizing the run game enough. J Love is a real breath of fresh air.
Truth. Rodgers gave us some all time memories but you’re absolutely right about him getting some bad habits the last few years.
How about his dog house if messed up?
Have to say thank you. I’ve watched about every clip out there gloating over this win and you’re only the second person that has took some time to give credit to the Packers.
I appreciate you my guy! You are the truth. Only show I seen all day long talking about the Packers. Little do everyone know this lack of respect for the Packers is exactly why the Packers are playing the way they are. It's fueled by the disrespect of the Media. JLove keeping all the receipts and folks this young man is on a mission!!
Without getting into all of my thoughts, I’ll say it’s very clear Rodgers was changing plays and playing hero ball because we’ve absolutely seen what LaFleur’s offense is after he left. I’m a GB fan and I’ll always love Rodgers as a Packer but the team was right to move on. He was a grumpy old man that didn’t like the young guys and expected the young guys to learn all his weird hero offense along with learning the real offense. Rodgers never would’ve worked with all these young kids, GB would probably have had to resign Cobb and Lazard. The most impressive part of Jordan Love’s game is what he’s doing pre snap. I don’t think people pay enough attention to that.
3rd and short, Rodgers audibles a play to bomb it 45 yards for a TD... to the receiver core he complained about time and time again. I was ready to see him go the moment the rumors started flowing.
I love being an underdog at the Niners too. That San Fran secondary isn't all that great and the Packers have plenty of weapons to exploit it. Go Pack Go.
Shoo, if flowers, Bateman, and O'Dell can exploit that.
I'm sure watson, reed, doubs, wicks, heath, bo, Luke, and Kraft can exploit that.
I love this guy, Michael Smith! Also Stephen A. Great comments and thank you for saying them. Very much appreciated!
LaFleur weeks back admitted he was the reason for the teams crappy start to the year. He alluded that he was running vanilla O because of the amount of new guys. I believe he said it was after the Steelers loss he talked to Jordan and told him commit to his throws and just let it go and accept what happens and he said he realized as he was telling his young QB that , that he couldn't be telling the kid to let it loose and commit and be holding the playbook back himself. At that point he said he has been running his playbook as designed without taking anything out.
13 Championships. And YES, the modern era was not started with the Super Bowl. It began in the 50s with the Cleveland Browns. Those championships in the 60s definitely count.
Respect and appreciate you guys.
Best GBP win since the 2010 Super Bowl run. No doubt about it.
Right. If they don't count than Jim Brown doesn't count. Yeah the narrative instantly changes when you say that
@@narski82 Otto FUCKING Graham dude
@@narski82 Jim Brown absolutely and of course.
#1
The Yankees and Lakers certainly count all their championships from long long ago so it certainly should be ok for Packers to count all 13.
I did a crazy bet before the playoffs. Green Bay Packers win the Super Bowl, and the closer I get to it the crazier it’s getting it’s almost becoming a reality rather than a dream.
Jordan love is the best between him and purdy by far.
Real winners don't listen to outside voices, there are always naysayers and people trying to bring them down. But a real winner doesn't care, and stands by the proven system they believe in 100%.. there is no other way to be a winner than with 100% belief in yourself and the team. Im talking gutenkust, lafleur, jordan and jones. Starts at the top.
Finally someone said it because if Jordan love looked bad you would hear that
Jordan Love will be the best QB on the field next weekend. Whether GB's D can play up to par is the question. One would expect SF's D to stand up.
Best QB on the field will be Jordan Love. Rodger's had top talent WRs from Nelson, to all world Adams, to Cobb, to James Jones, Runyan had a year where he did well. Driver at the end, Greg Jennings was an ace for a hot minute. Finley was good until his injury, they put quality weapons around Rodger's. Brett Farve had Javon Walker who I believe was a first rounder. Driver, Antonio Freeman, Pitts had a few solid year, Ferguson was solid until his neck injury, Sharpe was solid until his neck injury. Mark Chmura was solid until his false allegation, Bubba Franks, Ruvell Martin was solid for abit. Bill Schroeder put in work in the 90s, the Packers has had good WRs.
The issue with Rodger's was ego and sports analyst inflating it. They were calling the greatest QB ever, like dude, pump the brakes. The Superbowl run, they got their from the defense in the playoffs and a backup QB after Cutler got injured. He played well in the SB, but got all the credit when the NFC championship game he played poorly. Rodger's at one point believe he was greater than the coaching and the team. He got the coach fired, yes, players confirmed he was changing 50-70% of McCarthy plays. For how long, don't know, but I recall Jared Cook being stunned by how Rodger's disregarded Mike's play calling. They didn't make playoffs, Mike took the blame, fired mid season along with a few other coaches. The blame should have been on Rodgers. They hired Matt, people just assumed Matt was along with the ride like Bill Belichick. Adam's left, he complained about weapons, weapons Jordan Love is excelling. They find out he didn't work the assortment of weapons Brian G brought in, he wanted washed up Randal Cobb who couldn't outrun linebackers. Jordan Love worked with the new guys while Rodgers was out doing whatever he wanted to do. He didn't like the player brought in, didn't to work with them, and wanted the GM fired for not sealing the deal with Adam's. The WRs had a lot of drops, but also Rodger's made a lot of bad throws and reads. Didn't make playoff, people are point the finger at the coach and GM making excuses for Rodger's. Rodger ego is at an all time high, he doesn't feel the need to return his bosses calls, people who just paid him $50 million not to make the playoffs. Told them bad reception like he couldn't put his phone on wifi calling, said video chat like video doesn't take up more bandwidth by a large margin than a phone call. At this point, fans don't like Rodgers, they got rid most of his support players/cronies, and it made it easier to move on from Rodgers. It was the absolute right move, old, and busted cronies went to New York where they combined for 340 yards and 2 TDs.
Sharpe would have been a HoFer if not for his injury.
@@josephhopkins2851 I agree, that's I laugh it morons who claim Brett and Aaron didn't have weapons. Like, 1st WRs have high bust rate, typically not needed unless you have a once in a generation Calvin Johnson or Moss. 2nd, and 3rd round you still get high quality WRs. It's when you get to rounds 5-7 is they drop off. Each college team carries something like 15-20 WRs so there's a lot of them out there when it's all said and done. A top end WR needs a good QB, mostly importantly a good O-line to protect their good QB before they could even become a factor.
What a blessing to have a solid front office.
Man packers, back to back to BACK good QBs lol. Bears fans in shambles
Don't forget that Don Majkowski was really damn good until the injuries got him at the wrong time.
Preach brotha. Much respect for calling out those haters
good discussion. but there are some audio issues
Best g.m. in football like 70 percent of player he has draft are still in the league.
I know that rationality & reality aren’t synonymous with the West Coast but Niner’s fans…prepare to be enlightened. This young & talented Packer's team is the most unique that I've witnessed in my 68 years. Under severe criticism, unwavering GM Brian Gutekunst seems prophetic in his ability to evaluate & select young talent and Coach/Gifted Play Caller Matt LaFleur has a Yoda-like knack for being a step ahead of & exposing opposing defenses. Simply put, QB Coach Tom Clements is a groomer of quarterbacks as Michelangelo was a sculptor of granite & quarterback Jordan Love (perfect QBR ala Dallas) is an unassuming, unflappable & generational talent that is on the verge of unprecedented success. Then, much like General Patton, the offensive lines do not like to pay for the same real estate twice and when called upon, open the holes & throttle for Aaron Jones afterburner of a rushing attack.
Add to this, the talented pool of receivers who selflessly block for their teammates and aggressive defensive backs who preemptively jump routes & secure INTs. I see many championships in Green Bay's future & wouldn't be surprised if someday they had an undefeated season. All the while, this team has fun. God Bless.
I wasnt mad because we drafted Love, I was mad we traded up to grab him when I dont think many teams had him on their radar the first round. I think we could of snagged him early 2nd and used that first rounder to get a WR or TE.
Go back and look...at one point todd mcshay had him going 6 overall...of course he didn't go that high, but this narrative that he wasn't considered a 1st round pick is stupid
@@the1ndonly32 He was considered late 1st early 2nd. He had a horrendous senior year which killed his draft position. Only stupid one is u thinking he would go 6th overall because ONE person said so
I said the notion that he wasn't a 1st round pick is stupid....youtube todd mcshay and jordan love...i said at one point he had him going 6 overall to proof a point that jordan was flying under the radar..
A fair assessment. But you never know, Jordan love couldve been picked up already if packers didnt trade up.
@@ericpadilla2454not stupid at all. All it takes is one. And you dont mess around when you are sure about a QB you want to draft
to be fair, they didn't give Rodgers many good defenses, lol. They DID give him really good o-lines, which is good, but they only got him a running game late, when he was past his prime to take advantage of it. Man if he had a coach like Matt earlier in his career.... Mike McCarthy's weakness were obvious after 2014, and he was downhill after that.
Apology. For what we all agreed that last night game was shocking, not because the Packers won, but how they won that game was more about the Dallas Cowboys, and how they choke the Packers had nothing to lose. No one expected the Packers to do anything, so either way there would be no criticism for the front office because when you rebuild people are going to give you those years to evaluate the talent.
Thanks so much for giving the Packers some love, no pun intended! That's all I'm hearing today is how bad the Cowboys are. Give credit where credit is due. The Packers are on fire!!!!
Yeah Aaron Rodgers looks bad after this
How does Arron Roger's look bad he was in full support of the packers winning at Dallas and he is in support of them winning the next game and hopefully continue to the championship game 😊
They had a choice, bet on an aging Rodgers or the future. I disagreed at the time, but I think #10 could be the best QB in the league in a very short time.
Those glasses owe that mans face an apology.
The sound quality of this video is off and hard to follow... Content was OK. GO PACK GO!
As a packer fan, that is not what im thinking. San Fran better be careful because the best QB in the league is coming to town and hes got 5 guys who will torch you for for a good 150 and a tug or two. The packers have a reallg good young pass rush and with Jaire back there suddenly things look better. Watch it. Packers will end thier season toom
Gute picked him, so as a Packer fan, apology submitted. At the time though, we needed receivers...
Sterling Sharpe, Greg Jennings, James Jones
Not only that, but to be able to get Love going mid season. Reminder, they were calling him out earlier and he definitely responded.
Homie needs a new mic sounds muffled as hell
Matt Lafleur is a great coach.
When the Packers drafted love, I thought they shouldn’t of given Rogers the extension and just have them play out his contract. Granted he went 13 and 3 Three years in a row but I think that little fire on them I think they held onto Rogers one year too long, but Rogers ego started to take over Willy won’t he which got tiresome?
The Packers have 13 championships more than any other team in the history of football look up history if you don’t know it
Go Pack Go 🧀 from northern CA
For the cowboy fans you should be rooting on Green Bay the show it wasn’t just your team Green Bay was great
Apologize like the man said! The TEAM always comes first! Players come and go 💪🏿
2:29 - 2:35 Jordan Love is better than Purdy don't get it twisted now‼️🤣🎯💯💯
I will stand by my team like I do stand by the United States. They can win they can lose. I will always be there to watch them. Thank you to the Green Bay Packers. What a great ride already if we don’t beat the 49ers that’s OK I did not even expect to get this far. This was not supposed to happen this year but next year oh yeah, I’ll be 100% behind the Green Bay Packers to go to the Super Bowl and win it.
IF we can get past the Niners who can stop us from getting to the big game?
I love being right-Jordan Love.
Could it b that Rodgers was holding the Packers back?...
As a DieHard packer fan I bleed green and gold... Who was the second best receiver on the side of Adams in his latter years.
Not to detract from the win. Go Pack GO!
I think the frustrations came from all the years before the Jordan Love pick. The 'win later' mentality becomes a 'win when' then? A solid, not twilight-yeared receiver from FA or an additional 1-3 round pick WR to compliment Adams would've given us more Ws if not another Super Bowl instead of having to rely on practice squad players and an RB to be the 2nd best receiver on the team.
Also I guess I'm confused about the point being made because all the WR who are good right now are WR that they drafted. Which is what we wanted. So didn't he just prove everyone who wanted him to draft some WR right by finally spending draft picks on more WR?
Amen. Gute ain't no scrub 💚💛
Don't forget the packers also developed Matt hassleback
Kurt Warner
I'll tell ya what the weather is like up here, its cold as hell but sun is shining bright both literally and figuratively. GPG 🧀
Love will be the better QB next Saturday.
If you didn't want a first round receiver that year you didn't want to win. Packers did squander Rodger's career in this way. BUT - today - Go Pack Go!!! Just watch a few games from the season before we drafted Love - we needed a #1 WR to push us over the edge. Both can be true.
You guys are the only ones today that complemented the Packers as they should have been complemented instead of worrying about the losers, and spend the whole day talking about Dallas, who gives a crap about them
Go Pack Go!
We don’t have an owner. It’s a business. We don’t hire our family and weird kids. We hire people who only want to do the job.
I still think that the Packers would have won a Superbowl in 2020 if we had two good wide receivers so I still don't know if it's the right call unless Jordan Love can win one down the road
Are u kidding offense did not give up 30+ pts.
It was never about drafting Love. It was about moving up and drafting him in the 1st round when we could have still had him in the 2nd or 3rd round. Everyone knew that we were at the end of Rodgers career and needed to draft the next qb.
Love the better quarterback Purdue could of never did what love just did
And like I said, I only bet on a team one time go Green Bay Packers
Do you think the 49ers are going to handle them? Just like you thought Dallas was going to handle them have you not been watching them play I say put your money where your mouth is and see how sure you are then then I think you would be questioning yourself.
04:20 no they just won 4 super bowls and 9 pre Super Bowl NFL championships totaling 13…. The Most in the NFL. Sooooooooo. 💁🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😉😂💯
Who was surprised, they beat 4 of the play off teams already, they beat the lions they beat the rams they beat the cheifs and now the cowboys, remind me again who the cowboys have beaten 🤔, greenbay fans seen this coming.
SF is not going to handle them
Unpopular opinion Jordan love is leaps and bounds better then purdy
📓📔 excuse me but that calls both devision. Lions played their game with their QB swapping while Chief Dolphin brody of Bree Peyton. So if QB is the discussion I'll wait cuz disputing the difference season will justify is not the organization ⛺️🗝⌚️♈️🥥
You guys honestly think Brock purdy is better then Jordan Love? Seriously? Purdy is game manager at best!
Michael Smith was mostly right, but I gotta call him out on one thing. They did NOT give Rodgers "defenses" that's actually the #1 thing they failed at for majority of his career.
Brother. Who has the better weapons? Love is doing the same with less. So. Best QB on the field. Lol. Go Pack Go!! 9ers are the better team. They should win. The girls probably should have to. On paper. We all saw how that went. 9ers should win though. They are better than the girls. Brady had officiating help. Goodell as well. Also he is a cheater. As are the patriots. Yeah. No one ever wants to own that.
Why is Micheal acting like the Packers? Just won the Super Bowl. Tom Brady put together a team in Tampa Bay. That was only Aaron’s point. Let’s try it let’s do something different it’s all about chemistry and who you can work with. There’s some players that Aaron wanted that wouldn’t cost anything which was really funny too, but they just decided to saydisrespectful things to him all I know Micheal when you were disrespected, you left that certain job
RODGER CLEMENTS.
That guy saying packers have Aaron Rodgers a defense that was 1 time when he won the superbowl their defense was top 5 that year after that all the nfc championship excluding the bucs game the defense gave up 30 or more points
For got about the 2022 Lambeau game where defense and special teams gave up 13 ... but Rodgers could only muster 10. On thing about Love is that he distributes the ball to who ever is open. Towards the end of AR's tenure, Rodgers only looked for Adams and not spread the ball so 49ers just shut him down the offense came to a standstill. Think Love will not lock in to 1 guy so 49ers can't shut them down as easily. Not saying Packers will win, but I pretty sure they'll score more than 10 points.
The Packers D gifted Rodgers 5 (FIVE!!!) turnovers in the 2014 NFCC and he did absolutely nothing with them.
He was a big factor in the worst loss in Green Bay history.
Unitas, Montana, Manning, Brady - none of them ever lost a playoff game when their defense created more than 2 (TWO!!) turnovers let alone 5.
The Packers wanted to get Brett Favre in the draft but Atlanta picked ahead of them and grabbed them. Luckily they lost faith in Brett Frere and traded them to the Packers for a first round pick the following year. To be correct.
“You know what they gave him “defenses”” oh god…. Dude has no clue.
