If what you have are hardwood floors, the Swiffer Wetjet does sell a hardwood version, so be sure to get the right one. You really should also get a simple vacuum cleaner too to vacuum up the dust and dirt first before mopping. Makes the mopping easier.

You might want to buy a bucket at Home Depot or Harbor Freight instead of using a pot that you might use for boiling water for the cup of noodles. A Swiffer or mop is probably too expensive. Tap water from the bathtub...why don't you just use the bathtub instead? Don't suffer on your hands and knees, try it standing and clean with rag on the bottom of your feet!
