Very cute French kitchen. 😍The brick wall looks great. I also love the look of brick backsplash behind a stove. The knobs are cute also. I like the color of the stained counter. Not too dark or light. Just right! That is a cute eclectic silver butter dish @11:08. At first I thought it looked like a collection of silver bangles. 😆Your kitchen looks French country and chic at the same time. 😊

I think you are so clever figuring out how to make your home function more efficiently for you and your family. Greetings from across the pond. This kitchen is gorgeous. You did a fantastic job on a small budget!!! Your cabinets turned out beautiful and love the knobs! Needless to say, it is definitely very European. It is for sure that you will be cooking some delicious meals in your very spacious kitchen. I am not a “matchy”person. I am a collector of all things old and find that there is a history behind the things I have collected from thrifting and family heirlooms. Again, your kitchen is soooo warm and inviting. They say you can’t make a silk purse out of a sows ear but you do it week after week 😂!!! 🎉❤. I told my horses this morning( I have show horses and have shown since I was 5 and I’m 65 now.. but I decided I had shown long enough when Covid hit!) that my most favorite CZcams channel was waiting on me !! I have had that terrible virus going around here and I have had your channel on repeat !! My favorite channels are the ones that I ones I think I would enjoy visiting as a friend in their home !! Has to be dog friendly .. most important!!! I just love you !! And enjoy every moment !! Enjoy seeing all the horses in your decor !! Looks like home to me!! Your kitchen is so Lovely. I’m like you in that I NEED my spaces to be beautiful, inspiring, not cookie cutter and on a tight budget. We gutted and rehabbed an 80’s ranch home thinking ahead to older age but also miss our old rehabbed Victorian beauty. Everything but the fridge and part of the counter in our “new” home is either used or reclaimed. Our island counter top is a 2.5” thick reclaimed heavy 70’s Douglas fir pergola my husband took down from a remodeling job. We paid $500 for enough ReStore kitchen cabinets that I painted, and the uppers went into both my and my husbands workshops. I don’t like upper cabinets so all of my dishes etc and a beverage corner are done in mismatched open vintage shelving which I painted to match the cabinets. I just love the relaxed cottage worn look of repurposed things even in my potting shop/workshop has to be a creatively put together space.😊 I cant wait for your next project!!

Absolutely lovely. SO well done. The small and only thing you might think about is finding vintage handles for the white and delft cabinet. So many Ideas I would never thought of that are great.

amazing transformation!! It does make it a happy place to prepare your meals. Here in the states I use a product called Shellac by Zinnsser which is a non toxic food safe finish. I use it on wooden high chairs when I redo them. So the trays can be eaten on and wiped off without any problems.

Well done! Thank you for the link for the faux brick I’ve been searching for that exact thing. Too bad about the cupboards. I was thinking you could remove the top cupboard doors and hang curtains? Or make a door frame and staple fabric on the inside. Just a thought. You’ve done a wonderful job working with what you have. I was surprised at how nice the paper tiles worked!

Hi Denise I used the dark brown peel and stick tile, there was one other I debated getting it’s a slightly bigger brick and has a fitted brick as opposed to the square tile I had. 🙂
