    This is another example of why Peak Mountain Camps is the BEST VALUE on the road. You guys constantly strive to improve the value, durability, and comfort of the camps you produce. This is a tremendous improvement that will level out that battle between the wood stove and the furnace. Wood stove always wins because nothing beats wood heat, and of course, there is nothing better than a wood stove on a cold winter day when the snow is flying. Now, there is an option to circulate wood stove heat throughout the camp, including enclosed spaces like the bathroom and holding tank bay. Awesome!
    We love our camp. Living in Camp Liberty full-time for two years. Whenever we travel and stay somewhere else, the first thing Beth says when we return home is, "I missed my camp!"

    Just keeps getting better! Nice job. That layout is my favorite with the two singles and overhead bunk plus the recliners and wood stove. Home sweet home!

      Wow, just discovered your channel! Very nice camp! Love, the one with the single queen bed with the pull out table! I’m a cook, so that one with all the counterspace definitely caught my attention! My question is, could you mount a Mini split AC/ Heating system on the back?

    Add that to my camp! Just sent an email to Dave to add it to my specs. Perfect option for the stove and enclosed tanks. You are right, that is a game changer. You guys continue to innovate and amaze me.

    Questions?
    Is the heated air from the woodstove being circulaed by an auxiliary fan separate from the furnace?
    If so, where is this heated air being entraduced (being pulled) into the ducting system?
    Love your camp styling and layouts. Would love to see one in Texas, to kick the tires on. Otherwise, it's an 18-20 hour drive to Utah.

      Great question. The circulation fan is separate from the furnace. We have pursued using the fan on the furnace to circulate the warm air but the downside to that is, the furnace fan introduces outside air (cold air) into the mix, defeating the purpose of circulating warm air. Each camp is going to vary based on layout and options, but we always try to draw or pull air from as close to the wood stove as possible. We do have a couple of camps in Texas. Give us a call, and we can maybe get you closer to seeing one. (435) 462-7325.

    Great idea Weston! Would it be possible to have a selector or bypass switch incorporated into the thermostat? Obviously the thermostat on the wall inside is warm enough when the stove is burning that it won’t kick on the thermostat and provide heat to the tanks. Could a bypass switch or additional selectable temperature sensor be added to the thermostat so the user could choose between using the inside temperature for the thermostat and maybe an additional temperature probe placed somewhere in the tank boxes that would obviously be colder and allow the thermostat to kick on even if inside the camp is warm?

      This would be my question too. Or could an existing camp be retro-fitted with this new fan?

    • @peakmountaincamps
      @peakmountaincamps  Před 5 měsíci +1

      The downside to running the furnace blower is that it does draw combustible air from the outside (cold air) we are looking into some other type switch options to further increase efficiency.

    • @peakmountaincamps
      @peakmountaincamps  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Yes we can set existing camps up with this setup.

    Does your wood stove draw outside air into the fire box, so it doesn’t draw your warm inside air into the wood stove? This would also make your wood stove more efficient.

    • @peakmountaincamps
      @peakmountaincamps  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yes the combustible air for the wood stove is drawn from the outside. Our camps are sealed up so tight that if you drawn cabin air (inside air) you’ll starve the fire for air.
