Is this faster than doing slayer for 55 slayer as a 1 attack obby?
Yes it is also necessary to save range xp for bossing/pet hunting later on. You will max out your range very quickly if not, and not have much xp left to play around with after.
What are the mushrooms good for the mushrooms you get in your inventory are they used for anything else other then filling up that mud hole
Nope just the mud pit thing so you can use the mushroom to get back to the start :)

I don't recommend cannoning on an obby build since we are very limited in Ranged exp. You want to save that for PvM and possibly PvP if you dont like the idea of melee pking. This is definitely the best method for Slayer training for an obby. We have a full step by step guide in discord and on the Obsidian mauler wiki
Is this faster than doing slayer with cannon up to like lvl 40 range and mage? Then the rest by melee? 55str. Seems like a lot time for questing ect
Most of the quests leading up to Fossil Island are necessary for any account. Access to Fossil Island will not only get you 55 Slayer quickly, but it will be a great tool to access the best training method: ammonite crabs for 99 Strength on obbies, as well as unlocks birdhouses, seaweed, hardwood trees, and other skilling activities that tend to have a very high appeal after the early-game life on an obby. Cannoning and maging tasks are pretty quick, but are a complete waste of EXP in those categories, as 1 attack obbies can only get up to 67 ranged/mage without being over-leveled and melee based at 99 Strength. Thus, people like to spend their mage and ranged exp wisely on their account to go for pets, untradeable items, fire cape, ring imbues, and PKing, which boast more of a useful way to use that precious EXP.
You're going to have a super rough time meleeing slayer tasks at 55 str though lol. I would 1000% recommend doing these short quests, and acquiring that juicy 120k EXP from fossil island, 20k from OSF quest, and the rest from diairies.

That's pretty abnormal. It's all rng bro. Remember, rare fossils do not go in the display cases....and are much more rarer than the others to get :c

it is possible, but keep in mind the tar monster maxes 12-13, so you must combo eat and use sara brews if not an ironman

How long does this realistically take to get 55 slayer? thx
flub dub hey! This is a method to gain 120,000 exp out of the total 166,000 necessary for level 55 slayer. After completing all the display cases as shown at the end of the video, you also need to complete one small favor quest and 5 small achievement diaries for the lamp exp rewards in order to finish 55 slayer. All the questing and skilling will probably take 23 ish hours if I had to guess

Found out a awhile ago it uses a typeless attack. So just wear weight-reduction gear and bring a whole lotta sara brews :)
