I don't like that the laser particle sensor is facing only the back of the air purifier. This means then unit can't be close to walls. You'd think it would be facing forward because everyone will want the unit either in a corner or against a wall. So, I'm not sure what they were thinking.
Give us dark mode for the wyze app, it's been years for crying out loud !
What are the ongoing costs? Looks like it's $35-60/filter, depending on which filter you choose. What's an average filter change in a room that's always monitoring, and what is the average electrical use per month/year for active monitoring? These seem like important numbers to compare to other systems.
The filters are expensive considering their algorithm wants them changed roughly every 6 months, even in a clean area. You can vacuum them and reset the filter sensor but at some point they will have to be replaced and there are no other options of where to purchase them except from Wyze. But if you do their filter subscription service it's a bit less expensive, it's just their outrageous shipping fees that really hurt. The electric costs are really a non issue and you can make up the difference by unplugged turned off devices who's vampire drain are still using power.
Really enjoy mine, it kicks on when I'm using my flat grill and it ramps up even when it doesn't seem like there are particles in the air but it makes sense since I see black on my grill... just ordered another one.
I love mine so far. My only callout is that twice, during firmware updates, it disconnects itself from my wifi and I have to re-add it in the app.
I am sorry about this, we are trying to improve the connection reliability with the firmware updates.
I purchased one and am very happy with the results! I have various WYZE products (camera, watches, ear buds and air purifier) and love their products!

I'm amused with Wyze, by how they take an established product and saccharin brain-trust it, to make it more user friendly but at the same time pile on the innovative features. And somehow manage to keep the price (usually) below the competition. I can't use all their products, as some might be redundant on an existing product that still works. But all the products that I have so far, I'm happy with. Happy to support this techno geek conglomerate.
Because we get gouged by other companies. They keep it fair.

It's even more amusing how their products have so many software and hardware issues. Clearly you get what you pay for.
@@Resist4 My collection of defunct, early gen Wyze cameras testify to the teething issues. But how the company reacts to the issues and how they interface with the consumers has kept me with Wyze. I sense a bit of humbleness, which I like. Speaking of trouble, I have the Ring floodlight cam that had to be replaced this month, as the old camera suddenly gave a pinkish hue to the view; both on my cell phone's camera app and on my Echo Show. Things go out, things break, and I grow old too. (Was that part of a song?)
Only problem is they never have replacement filters. Had mine since they came out but filters are always not in stock.
Can you network rooms to control/monitor from one app?
What about if you have 6 dogs, terrier, chihuahua, lab/pitt? How does it handle pet hair?

This is super duper cool, overkill for my needs (suck up litter box dust after the cat uses the box), but still, innovative and cool!
how does the math work out for 5 room cycles per hour? If the unit has a CADR of 350m3/hr and the room size is 500ft2 (assuming at 8ft ceil) I get 3 room cycles per hour.

With the Wildfire Filter, it allows your Wyze Air Purifier to capture pollen, dander, dust, germs and mold, smoke odor, sulfides, and other byproducts of fire. I can suggest the Wildfire Filter due to having a chimney.

How many square foot does it cover?

My AQI when I set it up was around 100 and its steadily gone up in the last 24 hours up to 200. We have 3 dogs, but I don’t see our AQI getting better. Yes we set it up right and plastic is off.

Does it work without downloading an app?

Why does my Wyze scale only offer 12 months data ? I want to see what a weighed last year !

This seems great! Just wish there was a half sized version made for bedrooms as that would blend in more instead of a big gray tall box in the corner. But other than that, great job at an affordable price point!

Yes! While you'll lose access to features within the app, your Wyze Air Purifier will still function without Wi-Fi. 🙂

I love my Wyze Cameras, but this is over priced. Look up the replacement filter cost and how much that will run you per year depending on use. If you don't care about the app features you can find the same air filter on Amazon that has the same round filter that goes in the bottom, haves all the same features and cost a lot less and the filters are 50% less also. That's the joy of having something made in China, it's get stolen and copied by dozens of companies. Then rebranded and sold on Amazon.

Hey Tommy, Wyze Floor Lamp was available for a special limited-quantity and limited-time preorder price of $29.99 + $14.99 shipping, so a total of $44.98 - as many of our earlier products did. Afterwards, it had its debut at its normal MSRP of $54.99 + $14.99 shipping, so $69.98.
This price increase is both because of the special preorder pricing ending and also because component costs and shipping costs both surged due to demand and COVID. This is quite a heavy product to ship, so this is a bit larger of a price increase admittedly, but yes I can confirm that a big part of this is inflation. Please let me know if you have any questions.
You want a useful idea for a new camera related product? Battery powered remote mic with high sound quality. I can't ever understand low sounds in any of your cameras. I have them high and it of reach so they don't get stolen easily. A remote mic that is synced would be great... Even if a small amount of lag is present.
Feel like it's a good idea... Give me 6 plus subs for life for free call my idea paid for them.
