Thanks for the review; I sent it to a relative! I’ve been hooked on air purifiers for a few years now & have completely changed my life with seasonal allergies.
Anyone looking into this; if you want smart capabilities, it’s a great buy. I’ve owned all different brands and types of air purifiers.
I still use my wyze and have it around the laundry room since it works quite well with odors (with premium filter). I usually prefer a thick layer of activated carbon but this still works well for my needs. In my opinions it’s one of the better buys for a couple hundred bucks. If you don’t need or care about smart features then without a doubt the WINIX 5500-2
The wyze is a bitch to connect to my WiFi but once connected it stays connected. The app also is limited with features such as air quality sensor data. The Wyze app is pretty solid though and works fine with my Alexa routines.

I have this exact purifier i use the standard filter however. Now either im doing it wrong on i have a defective unit or maybe its jyst the ways its supposed to operate bit the child lock feature when i turn it on it doesnt stay on all the time so basically like if i use the child lock feature in a few hours itll be off again and ill have to turn it back on again so im not sure if it has like a shut off feature where its designed to only stay on for so long or what. Also i can never find replacement filters on the wyze website there hardly ever in stock at least the one i need anyway i think they only have one of the three filters in stock right now.

I tested the child lock last night and mine did stay on for over 12hrs. Do you have your unit connected to Wifi? I do agree that the filters are a little hard to get on the official Wyze site unless you are getting the most expensive one. I realize there can be a number of factors that dictate how often a filter would need to be changed but do you have any idea what an average lifespan would be assuming average conditions.
