How to grease sealed ball bearings without removing seals

- Bearings often have very little grease packed into them. This is necessary for high speed applications and it's the way bearings should be greased. However there are some applications where bearings either make no full rotation or are spinning at very low speeds smaller than 100 rpm at very high pressures eg. linkage bearings etc. in that instance it is necessary to pack these bearing in order to prolong their life especially in the case of potential water ingress. removing the seals with a pick or knife, no matter how careful you are, will render them useless. the best way to pack your bearings full of grease is to use a bearing packer like the lisle 65250 as shown in the video. this bearing packer will work for all RS sealed bearings and will not damage the seals in any way. one of the seals may pop out in the direction you are packing them but that's it. push it back in and job's a godd'un!

have old NOS made in America shielded bearings that were made the best and havent even been used so thanks !!!
Thanks M, I’m going to try this. 👍
Yea mate well thought out , but really you could have picked the seal ,
cleaned out the old gunk with brake cleaner & packed with grease in the same time.
Why didn’t you just remove the seal and grease it, to begin with?
Is this apparatus available in market
lisle 65250, as stated in the description.
why didnt you pop the the seal before greasing it??
Does not this prove that sealed bearings get the grease when greasing during the cutting season?
was there any doubt , a grease gun puts out 10 000 psi , where did these people think is was gona go ,
I’m going to try this on a metal sealed bearing that isn’t removable. I hope it works
Just make sure that you don't force the grease. Slow and steady and it's going to work.
That’s a cool tool. But a more affordable way to do it is just to pop off the plastic seals with a pick and grease it like I did in my video here:

Good demonstration of the tool but sometimes a verbal explanation helps a lot. Thanks for the video.
You know you popped that seal out faster than it took to set up that jig.

To much grease
i know, reading is hard.
No such thing as too much grease
@@cheesefarmer3545yes there is. but not in this case
I give you the first dislike - bearing is overfilled with grease witch will create grease friction, heat, sealing issue ...
