I’m an INTP, and Classical music and heavy metal have been my two favourite music genres for many years. I believe it has to do work the fact that they have similar intricate harmonies.
My likes of music has gone through so many genres that my playlist could go from anime to folk to Christian rock to metal also on shuffle.
Metal and classical are very close genres. There is no contradiction here, people who love one of these genres often love the other

In my opinion, heavy metal and classical music do not have much in common. Classical music tends to be rather quiet and relaxing.
While metal is relaxing as well, it sure is not quiet.
I took your test and got out as intp while other tests I’m intj. After watching this I can say I’m more intp than intj but I don’t really enjoy parties except with some closed friends. Sometimes even closed family or friends asks me to go out, 80 percent of the time I say no. My partner is intj and we think and act differently lol 😂

Yeah even my other tests say I'm INTJ but this video has made it confusing, more like I'm INTP with some INTJ things.
One thing I do not agree, is that is INTP do not make friends easily and don’t like parties. We are only more likely to go to a party than an INTJ only because we are slightly more open minded as do not hate people as much. Our social skills are actually in fact worse than the INTJ due to our inferior Fe, which is the least used of all of our function stack

Great video. Just a bit sad for the error at the beginning with Te instead of Fe for INTP.
As an INFJ, this is so interesting to me because I feel like I'm a mixed bag of some aspects of both since I have Ni and Ti. I would probably be a good bridge between those two since I share two functions from each. That's also probably why I feel like I relate so much to both. I have great ambitions just like the INTJ but I'm not nearly as efficient. I will question things more like the INTP to give an answer. We could even say Te an Ti are total opposites since Te want things to be effective while Ti wants to take the necessary time to find the most correct answer. So you might see clear oppositions between those two sometimes (even if it might be even more noticeable with an ENTJ).

Me too! I'm a little of both, depending on the situation, so my answers in the tests reflect that. I'm very organized with my personal space and I do like making lists and plans for days when I have things I want to accomplish, but some days I like to live totally unplanned and just go with the moment. I have multiple interests and ask lots of questions and overthink, but I mostly focus on one thing at a time and get obsessed with it until I come to a conclusion on whether I like/agree with it or not.
I have mixed and contradicting traits of both.

Thank you for telling everyone that intjs are very caring. Yes I am, but no one takes the time to get to know me well. Either because they have to get through so many of my personal walls, or when I speak I am direct and blunt, and most people are turned off by this. Plus throw in my dry humor and it is extra challenging, especially being a girl. Most other girls just look at me like what the hell, or I literally have to tell them I'm joking. It becomes a chore and I'd rather be alone, or with my extremely small circle of friends.

I have many playlist with many related genres of music in it (and I do likes those musics). Though in that many genres, I prefer to just listen to few of my best favorited genres.

The description of an INTJ is off in this video-too many assumptions regarding underlying INTJ values and external motivations. While it is true that INTJs will utilize their knowledge and thinking to solve real problems, it would be a false presupposition to suggest their goals have anything to do with "making a positive difference in the world" or "helping the environment." INTJs literally question and explore the notion of morality and human existence.

this is actually a good quality video bevause it is the first on this topic where i actually could definitively decide exactly one of the traits presented in each comparison. the traits were actually the opposites to one another. other videos failed there. well assembled

You might just have a specific case of negative perspective to life (and its okay if you’re proud of it) but don’t generalize. Most other fellow INTJs i know also have a pretty optimistic perspective to life,mainly because we understand that life is as good as it is bad and being subjected to one side of it will create the illusion of the absolute (and other strong biases). Now we indeed are quite cynical (borderline nihilistic) but we wouldn’t say that life is all bad at all! Theres a lot of hope in every single one of us and i wish for it to also reach you one day despite being subjected to harsh truths that might seem demotivating. ;)

According to tests and descriptions, I am a complete INTP - T, sometimes I am more INTP - A,
but I feel that there is some kind of extroverted part of me that sometimes takes control
and from a complete introvert I suddenly become a complete extrovert who understands introverts extremely well .
In turn, this causes some instability and uncertainty within me, where I don’t understand how to build my strategy,
in the sense that both of these foundations are contradictory, where I really like it when my extroverted part turns on,
which is actually rare for me and I see this as my superpower, maybe it's some kind of bipolar.
And this internal variability, on the one hand, creates a certain rise when I change from a seeking introvert to a judging extrovert,
but then there is a strong decline when the seeking introvert returns.
Where the judging extrovert is, he is confident in everything, and the seeking introvert is confident only in his uncertainty.
And you can easily confidently promise people your big threes with your confident, judging extrovert,
so that later the seeking, insecure introvert will sort everything out, where he doesn’t care about real tasks and problems,
there are only ideas, concepts, and approaches, where it’s more interesting to think about how exactly
to think about the problem than about the problem itself and its solution.
I have this version that my project is improving myself and my cognitive and personal characteristics in search of a better myself,
and everything else is just a field for experimentation, where essentially nothing matters except the architecture of your personality,
which is probably even true for narcissists close on some side.
Where all my effectiveness is inside, where I fight with myself, where I have different extremes.
Where probably INTP is such an architect of your personality, where you have built all sorts of scaffolding around your personality

ENTP here. I can't understand why in most of thumbnails INTP seems to be associated with Bill Gates. This guy's biography doesn't resonate too much with INTP, imo. He acted primarly as a businessman, not as a researcher, or a seeker (which is INTP prototype, imo).

1. focus vs concentration (not curious) while intps may not always be able to hold their mind on a single task for long without getting distracted they happen to be the number 1 type to hold a thought process for the longest time and thoroughly analyse and understand it.
2. diffuse interests (not entirely true), intps are not good at finding what they enjoy, or what they find beautiful, because in most cases these correspond to good (beautiful, lovely, exciting, as in this is a good movie) and bad which are social standards..this is the one space where intp need external validation or approval, the "how am i coming across?" this is why they seem to have diffuse interests but the truth is most often those are not actual interests they are just they want to use to connect with other so they figure why not have a wide range....for an intp however their entire life is mostly built around their true interest, this is how they build mental maps.
3. yeah no, intp dont gain knowledge for the sake of gaining, it just looks that way on the outside. intp are the engineer archetype and engineering is all about application of knowledge. the reason most people think intps dont apply knowledge is because intps are the most behind the scenes type, while intjs are good in front or behind the scenes, intps absolutely hate frontal roles, and will only take them up when necessary

#7 has me confused. My understanding from other sources is that the Ti dominant function inoculates INTPs from caring about what other people think about them, but the video attributes this to INTJs. Other commenters have made the correction that the inferior function is Fe (I'm still trying to understand the function stacks), which is attributed to INTP in the later part of #7.

I am a INTP, i took the complex test (not this video but still true thing in it). I want to be a successful man but can't even learn to much because i overthinking and get a solution to everything is like i don't need the internet .I am a 14 year old boy who lives in Romania, who has strict parents and who always make me study for school subjects to enter a good high school...and die. The thing is they put me to work in garden (i think is legal if i don't do it they will beat me, i talk to more persons about that and search on internet but i can't do anything), to clean to help some relatives and I only get 1 hour a day on the laptop and when I have school about 6 hours on the phone but I don't have time and I can't go to school to inform myself about anything because the schedule is quite busy and after I finish school I have to get home and leave the phone and then do my homework or do some tasks. I know what i want from life , i know english , know how to start a business, know about money, know some html from internet and c++ from school. BUT I CAN'T TAKE ACTION!!!!!

There are some differences I noticed as an INTJ between these two types in reality. For example INTJ s use all their skills to adapt and overcome and (I personally know of at least three examples) INTP s fear change and most likely end up overwhelmed and can barely cope it, and end up being auto destructive and taking people down with them. They can’t use a situation and make something out of it , instead the situation messes with them. It can be just my experience but I saw it repeatedly and I asked myself many times, when will I see an INTP stop running from their problems and escaping into their head. Be real.

INTP is an extraverted feeling on the last function stack. You typed “extraverted thinking.” You need to change that at the beginning of the video.
I’m an INTJ, you’re definitely off in how you’re describing our processes. You’re too focus on TE and discounting our NI and FE in the process. This can lead to even more misunderstanding of how INTJ mind works.
#9 INTP would be easier to say they are thinking about the many different things that relate to the new information, so they’re seeing all the places it fits, rather than looking for a place to put it permanently.
All your points are right. I was an INTJ, but now I am an INTP, and all of these things are accurate differnces between my old personality and my new one (Of course not the exact examples you mentioned, but I got the points).

After year i realised that for me is naturall to plan my daily/month/year/5 years activity, and finaly my grades started to grow.

People often think Elon isn't ENTP because of his sustained focus. So there are beliefs that he may be INTJ or even ENTJ. But I often find pressure situations and stress responses a helpful indicator of the true underlying personality style.
Elon acts out in public when he is stressed. He gets argumentative, digs in his heels with a specific point of view, and generally gets quite petulant.
INTJs become quieter, try to focus even more to figure out a solution, get irritable with their loved ones, blame those around them for not being adequately prepared etc.
Likewise, that he stammers doesn't make Elon an introvert. An introvert wouldn't be outwardly playful. Elon is! He's unafraid to do "performances" to generate shock value (light saber, smoking pot with Joe Rogan, dancing during the launch of a system etc.) in the wide open public view. This is classic ENTP behaviour - that of a class clown, but a prescient one.
Gates is sober, serious and goal focused. Gates' goals have a singular quality to them. Grand, but achievable. Elon's goals have an audacious quality to them. Grandiose and quite surprising it even works as much as it does! Gates was single-minded with Microsoft. Elon is always wearing many hats to keep himself from getting bored.
Elon is not the deep master of any subject, but he can connect technically complex things together to make a grander picture. That's Ne+Ti for you. Gates was the absolute master of his craft. There were few better programmers than Gates worldwide, for a good period of time. That's Ni+Te.
