Sequis is just so darn cool. It’s a loop-based instrument. It’s a melodic instrument. It’s a layered instrument. Sequis brings a great selection of samples from the fantastic Orchestral Tools collection into an immensely useful and useable Kontakt engine. Highly recommended!

NI had to make choices with Komplete 14 and as it is, this is in Ultimate, but Arkhis not. I suppose because Arkhis was in CE 13.
If you wonder what else you miss in Ultimate: Lores, Cremona Quartet, Amati Viola, , Guarini Violin, Stradivari Cello, Symphony Series & Choir: Omnia.
And well, Knif Audio Knifonium, Brainworx BX_Console Focusrite SC. Plus expansions.
Amazing demo. Well done.. I learned a lot and will be adding it to my musical toolbox. Thanks.
Really top review as always Raborn
I got this last week, sttill need to spend some time in this for trailers
I purchased this in the Arkhis bundle, tbh I found Sequis rather underwhelming, Arkhis on the other hand is great!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Axon!
@AXON What about Sequis didn’t impress you? I too am look at the Arkhis bundle. Thanks!
Thanks for this review ! It have only 4 beat sequencies, or also 3 beats, 6, 9 ....
Great video!! Thank you!
Why in the world would they release this library with no option for a sustain pedal? This severely limits the use of this library.
thanks, and for ternary rhythm, for instance is it possible to have the beats in 6/8?
This looks amazing! Is is possible to route each of the layers as separate outs to be able to edit as independent tracks? Thanks
I imagine in f you go into the Kontakt editor that should be possible if theres not an easier way.
@@PendelSteven this is not kontakt
Is there an auto sync to my DAW. I Can’t find this info anywhere. Thanks.
I was about to buy this. You talked me out of it. Thanks! What is the point of this? Is this really made for musicians?
Waste of money for those dull sounds
Gosh you should be a philosopher or a motivational leader 👍
No, it is made for composers, not musicians! huge difference! But because it doesn't include round robins artics in the samples, I am not gonna use it at all! Just upgraded my CE 12 to 14 and this just came with the package.
Is there any purpose to the piano keyboard at the bottom? I don't think I saw it in use at any time during the video.
What? He is using that all the time during the video, you can see them getting a bit darker when played. Otherwise Sequis won’t get a midi input.
And as sequins runs in Kontakt. There is the keyboard. But you can also hide it if you want.
is there a way to change the chord progression or the key of the sequence? or is it all pre made?
There is no fixed chord-progression. You can see him playing the notes on the keyboard
I’ve got this library but it says ure kontakt is too old for this library which version should I use I need help please?
kontakt 6 free player
How big is your workstation?, mine has an Intel i7 with 12 GB in RAM and using Sequis every time I keep one key pressed more than 5 seconds cpu goes to the sky (100%) . No other instruments loaded in my daw and no other application running at the same time by the way.
What model of i7?
@@exiled0ne104 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz 1.99 GHz
@@ivanrojasreischel That's a decent CPU, if I'm not mistaken, perhaps something is wrong with your system? Did you ever find out?
I found the problem, reading Sequis requirements more carefully the cpu speed must be 2.5 GHz. I installed Sequis in a MacBook pro with an i5 of 2.7 GHz and is running fine.
Sustain pedal does not work with it though
These software based "movement" sequencers all sound essentially the same. I have gone through two of them already thinking some great movement could be established. They are just fancy branded slicer/pulse effect programs. No complex arpeggiated lines.
I agree in general but in this particular case you get also a big high quality samples library already curated. Even if you already have all these sounds this would save me a lot of work .
@@ivanrojasreischel Hi, yeah great sounds but not been able to use the sustain pedal is a major oversight, you have zero control over chord progressions. That's just me.
@@ivanrojasreischel create a Multi track in Logic Pro. Create a pattern region for each independent instrument and the sequencer will pop up. Create your pattern, assign volume faders to midi and.... done. No extra cost and once done save as a preset.
@@RebelNMotion thank you, I use Studio One.
Who needs track stacks?
I've been film scoring for 20 years and I'm really disappointed with this instrument. Although there's some descent guitar and percussion samples, the HUGE issue is that there are no round robin articulations for ANY of the samples. The only adjustments you can make are for level and accents in the sequencer, and some "emphasis" in the filters in the FX section, but THAT's IT!. This makes for a really static sequence, much like the the old sequencers of days gone by. The only way this thing sounds half descent is if you use all 4 layers I certainly don't always want to do that. In this day and age, that is ridiculous. Why they didn't put in round robin articulations to make it sound better is beyond me. At least in instruments like Omnisphere, you can alter the timbre of each static sample giving it a more realistic feel. I feel ripped off because I won't be using this thing much, if at all.
Hey G
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience
No need to feel ripped off my friend! You can simply sell the license and get rid of it. However, the idea behind it is to use it as a background rhythmic layer in your dressed composition. You never use it naked!
Couldn't you add some automation to make each passage feel 1-5% different from the previous?
@@EulogyfortheAngels Not really, you’d have to put this through another effects vst to make it sound interesting. My point is at this point any kind of rhythm vst’s shouldn’t sound this monotonous.
All you guys sound alike
Guys as in, all men on youtube?
Great review as always thank you, Loving this library so far. Here is a two minute video of the library used in practice with other libraries for those that want to see more: czcams.com/video/kPVL0K-estk/video.html
I really hate so much the sound of the string that keeps playing. I’m trying to like this but am really not at all.
Verdict - either this vid undersells or this plugin is an absolute piece of trash.
Isnt this a rip off of Sample Logic Symphonic AI?
