This is a spectacular library, overwhelming with delicate articulations and phrasing. If you're on the fence, don't hesitate to pick it up - you won't regret it.
Man ! This one is outstanding (well... like the rest of the Evolution Series' products). I'm already using it on an animated short I'm working on. It's like the session I needed came at just the right time!
Great video, amazing library, much thanks to you I must say!! I've been wanting this for a while now, I used to watch the walkthroughs quite often very much looking forward to getting. I had to prioritize and got libraries I needed at the time, but I am happy to say I finally got this and Fables!! I'm really enjoying going through everything and getting familiar with all this offers...certainly one of my favorite libraries!! Thank you again...Have a great day/night out there!!
Thanks so much for your kind words. I’m so happy you like both libraries. A lot of energy went into making them. We’re all pretty proud of these creative adventures :) happy composing!
Thank you for taking the time to reply to our comments! That is something I truly respect and appreciate. A very good person right there!! You have got yourself a fan here!! I look forward for the next adventure...
@channelevolution Hi Anthony! I hope all is well. Thanks for this play-through video. I've just upgraded to Komplete Ultimate Collectors Edition 14 where LORES is included. I really look forward to start using this instrument for my upcoming tracks. Apart from being a very innovative instrument, I especially notice that the audio quality (clarity, naturalness and dynamics) of LORES is in an absolute class of its own, which makes it a very useful go-to tool for me. Many times I find myself trying to tweak and model the sampled instruments in order to make them sound natural. Quite often there seem to be non-wanted resonances, harshness or exaggerated frequencies from the sampling process. In LORES there's nothing of the sort. Just detailed, pleasant and natural sound with a lot of presence and dynamic headroom (it feels like listening to a reference audio recording on an expensive hi-fi system). My warmest congratulations to this release! I'm definitely going to be on the lookout for more of your releases in the future. Most kindly, Daniel
Hey Daniel! Such kind words! I'm so happy you are enjoying Lores! To be honest this was a dream project for me :) I guess because of my audio engineering background one of my key goals is to keep pushing the sonic envelope. I find it hard to be inspired by bad recordings, so I'm always trying to have fun in the studio using lots of cool and expensive toys... plus it helps having great musicians ;) Let me know how you go with using Lores as I would love to hear your work! Kind regards Anthony
One of the best, if not, the best and most inspirational libraries I've heard this year! Bought this yesterday. Well done. I hope you bring out a second in this series. I need to check out more of your products. Thanks
Hey @pfmusic1 thanks so much for your kind words. I'm so happy you are enjoying it! It was such a fun library to make. Wonderful musicians! I would love to do more :)
Oh my Lord! Just when I vow I’ll not buy any more instruments, you guys put out this amazing instrument. I’m using your bowed violin, cello, Bronte and many others in the World Colours series and I’m loving the beautiful textures I am creating with them. So…could you put this on sale for us and let’s boogie.
@@channelevolution Thanks guys. Yes, in fact at this very moment I’m composing using Bronte, Bowed Violin, Bowed Cello and Clair Duduk in an ‘under water’ themed piece. Bronze’s ethereal voice is the lead instrument. Please keep the World Series theme coming. They’re beautiful for movement and emotion and unique textures.
This is a wonderful library! What are your plans for the next libraries? Maybe make libraries that pretty much no one has before? Like for example a ancient Roman, Korean or Tibetan library.
Thanks so much for your kind words. Lores was so much fun to make! There are lots of unique projects in the pipe line... I can't wait to sure more information when all is complete :)
@@channelevolution great! This along with World Percussion is one of my favorite libraries ever! You really did a great job on them! Keep it up guys! :)
@@phelper4554 Hey thanks for letting me know. This is most likely an issue with Kontakt 7 vs a Lores problem. I would recommend letting Native Instruments know this as it will help them refine the new version of Kontakt. Out of interest how are you loading it? Are you using the new snapshot browser or the original Kontakt 6 style browser. It would be interesting to try loading Lores different ways to see if the loading time changes. Also if you use the Kontakt 6 style loading try double clicking on the instrument instead of dragging it and see what happens. Many thanks.
Hi Eric thanks for your question, No it is not tempo synced. Due to the fluid nature of the musicians playing I find tempo/timing not an issue. I think for these types of libraries it’s kind of a combination of composing around the samples and happy accidents :)
Hi J I good question.. as these sounds are more textural in nature they sound best when played slow giving time for the note to change and evolve over time.
I have Arkhis and the British Drama Toolkit by Spitfire Audio and find this a little _too_ lively. All this flutter and waving, especially in the classic section is after a time a little bit annoying and distracting. Maybe I will give it a try but I'm not sure where it can fit in because its somekind of obtrusive.
Hi Michael I totally understand your point, but at the end of the day Lores is not a standard library. It is a different concept to Arkhis and British Drama Toolkit. The two you mention are great products but serve a different purpose. End of the day it all comes down to the type of music you like to create. It will either be a good fit or not. I find like many tools, once you learn how to operate it you'll find it's quite a powerful source of inspiration :)
All the sounds in the Lores library are too similar to each other and it's caused the library to multiply in size unnecessarily. I wish there was more variety!
Thanks for your thoughts. Maybe I just demonstrated some similar sounding presets. One thing I did not show are individual instruments. There really is a huge amount of content, I would need to create a much longer video to dive deeper and show this off. Once you see all the individual articulations you'll get a better idea why the instrument is large in size :)

Hey I’m noticing you’re not using the mod wheel here, any reason why? Does it change volume/technique?
Hi Peter Modwheel changes volume where as expression is used in a number of patches to cross fade between articulations.
Only one question when I use the batch re-save function does it load faster? Lores take nearly one minute to load on my highend machine
Hi PhelPer Thanks for the question. Generally speaking I find that is does help a lot. I would recommend giving it a go :)
