I understand inflation is ever present but the price difference is mind blowing. Like the proof sovereign has a massive premium it's 50 percent above metal value, but the silver proofs it's out of this world.
Stopped buying from the mint due to other dealers being cheaper than the mint for the same coins
@@ianbird7444 I very rarely buy from them, and it's my own impatience waiting for them to be at other dealers that makes me cave 😔

Wise words. Notice how price always goes up and never down. I collected al sorts of coins.. but sold a lot and now only collect 50ps. Im sure silverproof 50ps used to be 57.50 when i started collecting. There silverproof coins are kot well packaged and therefor tone quickly as well. Great video, fabulous coins you have ❤
I'm sure it's the same for all the coins across their range £1-5 every couple of months, it all starts to add up. Give it till the end of this year's and a 1oz proof will be close to £150 🤣
@the_islandstacker it's a joke mate. And to put prices up on others you've pre-ordered really takes the biscuit. I might have a rant on my channel about prices... postage costs always seem extortionate to me as well...

If they price themselves out of the market, then just stop buying from them. Get other silver!
True, issue is if they are the ones releasing the coins they kinda set the precedent for pricing. Some dealers offer some discounts, but I'm stopping any further silver purchases.

No one rips you off. You only allow it. That said, a far superior and better alternative is the Canadian Royal Mint. I have many positions with them in all sectors of my PM.
I can I am the one buying, but when they increase the prices when you sign up to a series there isn't much you can do. Agree the Perth and Canadian mints offer much better value overall. Also depends how much you have from other mints, if you ever come to sell as it's not UK coins there will be CGT etc.
over £100 for proof silver you do know that proof is sterling silver 92 .5 percent pure its not 999s fine i would call this more than a rip off whos running the mint Dick Turpin
Oh yeah I had forgot some of the latest releases are sterling silver, another way the mint is ripping us off. Charge more for less.

@@user-ke4uu3mk3k I've got nothing against buying silver, it's just not for me. I know there are loads of people that stack it and love it. It just annoys me that the mint is charging these stupid prices.

@user-ke4uu3mk3k chances of silver ever showing a profit on return on investment is slim... 1 ounce silvers are vastly overpriced for the silver in them. If you buy silver be prepared to lose money. Youu may have a small chance of a profit on Bullion bars..
