Synopsis:
Squadron Leader Veer Pratap Singh (Shah Rukh Khan) is a rescue pilot with the Indian Air Force. In the line of duty he comes across a stranded Zaara (Preity Zinta)... a girl from Pakistan who has come to India to fulfill her surrogate mothers dying wish. Veer saves her life and his life is never the same again.
Twenty two years later Saamia Siddiqui (Rani Mukerji), a Pakistani human rights lawyer on her first case, finds herself face to face with an aging Veer Pratap Singh. He has languished in a Pakistan jail cell for 22 years and has not spoken to anyone all these years. And no one knows why. Madan Sahab says he composed 'Yeh Hum Aa Gaye' 18 years before, that means it must be around 1950s! Oh God such immortal is his music. Super love the song. I was even moved to tears listening him singing Dil dhoondta hai in 'Tere liye's' tune. Every song of Veer Zaara is so magical. Love all his old songs. Thank you Yash Ji, Sanjeev Kohli, Lata di & everyone for letting us, the new generation feel the golden era of Bollywood music. Veer-Zaara will always be one of my fav SRK movie.

It’s a shocker that albums like Veer Zaara or Swades didn’t win the Best Music that year and Main Hoon Na!!! Though Main Hoon Na was a great album, it was mostly fun & romantic. The album of Veer Zaara is pure brilliance, quality and melody. At least out of respect to Mr. Madan Mohan, they should’ve given the award; and best playback singer should’ve been won by Udit Narayan, Udit/Gurdas Mann duo or Sonu Nigam- now I feel that 2004 has been unfair for awarding best music album and singers in Bollywood….😢🙏🏻
