Lyn held her breath a few times as she is not in favor of "being too close to the edge" LOL....when you said if only you could have blown the whistle I just KNEW what clip was gonna show up...just like with the Sound of Music....dangerous how we think alike LOL
Tell Lyn it gets worse as Chris leans out of the car many times during the trip. I may have to increase his insurance policy if he keeps this up. 🤣 You two and your sense of humor!!! Take care guys!
We were on the same train just about 8 days ago and it was the most beautiful trip I’ve ever done. Now I want to take it when there is snow on the mountains

Very cool video, thanks Katrina & Chris. There were some steep drop-offs that the train ran very close to the edge of. I don’t know how comfortable I’d be that close to the edge, haha That was neat when the train stopped for refill the water tank. 🎉😊
Just like the boat ride at Niagara Falls, you have to think about how many trains have run along that cliff since the line was built in 1881. No cars have fallen into the river, or even derailed there. It's waaay too much fun to miss if you get the chance.😁
Wife and I rode it in 2002 and had a good time, but way too tired after sitting on a rocking school-bus seat for six hours. Next time we'll splurge for the parlor car. Sure was fun. I think they'd run out of steam pretty fast if they let everybody blow the whistle. Thanks for making your fun to watch video.🙂

I have always enjoyed riding the train from Baltimore to Atlanta looking at the scenery along the way but WOW this was so amazing! Big time bucket list item checked off! They just don't get it sometimes. 🤣 Part of the fun of traveling this way is stopping and shopping in those little shops along the way. Another great video, its nice to see that Silverton still kept it's mining town vibe and still has dirt roads. lol. We rode the train one way (from Durango to Silverton) and took the bus back. We sat in coach, but can see why the open air would be better for both viewing and filming. We were there when it was cold so that is why we went with "coach". Enjoy your trip and don't hurry back to the east coast, we just came back from Bar Harbor with a stop in upstate NY and it snowed in Lake Placid. Only in the 50's here in Pa. today. Till we meet....Be Safe and Be Well.

Your camera takes beautiful footage, it shows the crispness of the Colorado air. We did the round trip back in the early 80’s, sat in the same open air cars because it was summer. When we were done, black soot was all over our faces. Does it still do that? Maybe I was hanging out the window too much!😄 I recognized so many place. Silverton was too touristy for us, but we loved the whole trip and still talk about it. Love your explorations.💜

Tucker's face is priceless and white. Can't he be up in the dining room area? Lol. Now I am really super jealous cuz it's a steam train. We've not been able to find a steam train at all to ride. Great views. Great film! Chris, do you have yellow streak in your hair? And keep your head inside? That's the rules lol. We love train rides, especially the ride out and seeing stuff. We absolutely hate the ride back. Usually I fall asleep another great video guys!

Haven’t ridden the train yet, but did the million dollar highway on my bike! Fabulous scenery, 2nd only to glacier (so far in my travels)
The train ride is worth the money in our opinion. We really enjoyed it! Glacier is my absolute favorite park so far. Take care and enjoy your travels!

The only time I (Katrina) was seriously nervous was when we made those big turns and the train was on the very edge! Yikes!!!
