The yellow building which Jisoo stands outside of, looking in at a set of pearls, was painted that colour specifically for this MV shoot. It strongly suggests the 1996 Korean film 'Yellow House,' which is about a sex worker who struggles with her identity when she is forced to leave the Yellow House brothel of the title. i feel like the song is too soft for her voice. she has a rly hard-hitting, loud, strong voice, so for them to give her a song that would fit jennie's or rose's voices rly shows how much yg pays attention to what fits their idols. they did good with her bside though. and even though it's the EXACT SAME set up for a song (verse, pre chorus, chorus with like 0 vocals) all eyes on me fits her voice so much better. and the fact this release is most likely to be her last solo release EVER rly upsets me. edit: spelled some things wrong, corrected myself :).

Yeaha right. Yet Lalisa won two mtvs for best kpop. You definitely are a Jennifer ot3 who hates anythin Lisa related. Lalisa MADE the most impact and noise among the other 3 debut solos...LISA IS THE IT GIRL..
Lisa’s song was good, but only for a party vibe. Or like a sound for tiktok. It was only good for like a few months and then it died down. Especially lalisa. Her song is a completely different vibe ig. It was good, but only in the moment
As soon as the song released, I knew the theme of her hating Blackpink so I expected this video. I bet you the game that Blackpink have coming up will be hated on too.
They said Pink Venom is most expensive MV and now this? Like bruh she was just standing in and outside a hotel ☠️ Pink Venom and even Lalisa looked more expensive. It's probably just to get as much hype as they can but Jisoo deserve better
Well tell me you know nothing without telling me. This is universal studios they ented a whole hotel and painted it all the rooms are fancy and beautiful stop acting as if you don't know ifs high budget. It's got a higher budget than your faves who all probs use green screen and cgi 😂
I refuse to believe this was their most expensive.... Lisa's solo shows that she definitely has the favoritism of the company. It's really disappointing Edit: blinks are so delusional they can't even admit when other members are obviously being treated differently 💀 it's not a dig at Lisa it's literally a dig at YG obviously for not making her MV nearly as thought out or creative as hers yall are so quick to act like ppl are attacking your favs when in actually ppl are just pointing out the obvious I'm not even a blink or a solo stan
How Lisa became company favorite when yg announced before Lisa solo that they cut the budget for an mv, lalisa film In studio, and outdoor location that's in sk only, while Jisoo film her mv overseas and yg announced that's it's the most expensive mv that they're ever produce so who you fooling now 😅 not Lisa problem that despite getting low budget Lisa mv looks more expensive than jisoo mv that had biggest budget and film overseas yet so underwhelming and disappointing to you 😅
@LIfe sucks I'm not a jisoo stan and idc about fan wars I was just pointing out that yg didn't put in enough effort for Jisoo lol 💀 I'm on her side not against it

The performance was so good her in that white dress the dance ate tho . At this point I’m not offended because you drag everyone and no one is save and the amry that hyping up jimmi solo is so bad !! And he can’t even sing his own song ! Live nmixx should have won that award not jimmi !
The sound is actually quite sophisticated and understated just like Jisoo. The ending is esp. well done. it drops in an original way. The chorus was my favorite part. Jisoo has mentioned she likes playing with sounds and frequencies. It's not supposed to be over the top like Lisa's, it's supposed to reflect elegance and simplicity
I felt like I liked the teasers more than the actual MV. Also I kinda thought that considering she's technically an actress I was hoping for a more story base MV and I think they tried but it felt incomplete

geez, these commenters need to understand, that sometimes their favorites can do their potential but aren’t giving anything, honestly it was quite disappointing to see jisoo not working up to the potential, she could’ve done a little dance or smth besides the arm movement didn’t do her justice, neither did the company as well, it was rlly disappointing to see YG ruin yet another time.... not everything should be considered as a masterpiece or perfection until they work it upto a point/level. i agree with you, they could’ve at least have something to make it work...
People can love whatever they but i agree to the fact that, some blinks love bp songs just bcs it’s bp But if some love the song let them love the song
The fact that jisoo didn’t even want to be a K-pop idol when we joined YG, like just let them do what they want and don’t force them to do what YOU want
I absolutely love your honest opinions. People are usually afraid to share their opinions online because big fandoms would come at them. I’ve also seen so many hate videos of your channel and they all seem very funny.
I actually like the song and mv. It’s catchy. Definitely not the worst solo among members. I would say to me the worst is Lalisa song. I think ppl’s expectations were higher because of YG’s high budget claim. They should really stop doing that. That creates a hype and disappointment afterwards. The only thing I agree with is the awkward dance steps in the hallways.
Maybe the rent for the place and DIOR placement made it expensive. I was expecting a more grand location also. Like a set full of flowers. But I still love her solo. :)
I love the song. Jisoo image as the visual and the girly image she has really suit the song. its very characteristic for her to have this type of song.
The mv and song was cute They should have not included choreography at all especially watching the dance practice the backup dancers are the only ones dancing 💀 Really wish Blackpink gets to work with a different producer but Teddy ain't ever leaving them!
For the kast time this is not Blackpink it's Jisoo she doesn't have to do some energetic dance. Teddy didn't even produce this💀 Tell me you know nothing without telling me😂
i wanted Sultry to do a video about it bcs if i said my opinion on whatever plateforms blinks and sooyas would send death treath and i wanted to not be the only who find the solo a little bit blank i don't find the solo horrible but YGE made her dirty as hell, like she's my bias in bp and i waited her solo with excitement this song could be a bop but YG rlly said no, her album name "ME" but didn't even got one credit is so fck funny i feel bad for her, YG did her dirty again
I dont agree with this. It's Jisoo's simplicity and elegance that makes her stand out. And it's enough. It doesn't always have to be over the top all the time
This is the only BP solo I actually enjoyed lyrically and musically, and want to listen to on repeat, and the only one that made me want to learn the choreo. Also in general I don't like music videos, like for any genre, especially when there's a storyline in the video unrelated to the song. It's usually too flashy and chaotic for me, or too confusing or both. I liked the simplicity here, because I found it easier to just appreciate the aesthetics without having to care about interpreting the video too much.
I agree with the chapter thing coz honestly it didn't make any sense to me at all plus the random dances bruh please otherwise the chorus hits it does ngl.
while i personally think the song suits her, this is why i don't believe all members of a group need solos. jisoo doesn't have the best vocals or presence so her solo just seems kinda unnecessary?
agree. she's the only one that i was worried about with having a solo since she doesn't seem to have anything much to work with and isn't very passionate. i thought at the very least it would have to be a pretty vocal performance but unfortunately that was cut short and we didn't get to dive into her range and potential. very different to the other girls whose solos are also underwhelming but have alot more substance. jennie going first made sense and it was a catchy bp song that let her charisma take hold. rose having something a touch more artistic and emotive that follows her indie artist vibe. lisa with the train wrecks that are lalisa and money but they still went with her persona and an easy catchy sound. and then you have flower. which just sits there. i think it's definitely the most forgettable.
I disagree I think her solo represents her it cinematically beautiful and pleasing to the ears in fact her solo has been getting a positive response to the catchy choreo. I like how this represents her and her persona as an individual.
She doesnt have the best vocals? Yall just so acostumed to nasal whiny voices and people straining their voices. Jisoo just brings a more sophisticated and softer edge to BP. People just should stop trying to fit an artist in the same ol generic box. Out of black pink shes the most intriguing one.
@@littlelou050 i think it’s forgettable bc she’s never been known for anything but her visuals imo. this isn’t even to insult her but all other members are seen for their talents. jennie for her raps, lisa for her raps and dancing, and rosé for her singing. from what i’ve seen jisoos only ever been known for her visuals so it’s just forgettable in a musical standpoint
I just dislike how they made her a visual in her own solo .😭what I mean by that is they literally only focused on how they could make her already blessed looks even more shown through out the video. That’s not a problem when you think of it as a teaser cause that’s one of the things that’s gonna drive the fan base to see it but all I could think of throughout the video is how pretty she looks and how the song felt like it was lacking
I don’t agree with every word in the video, it’s kinda true there’s not a lot of creativity but it’s not horrible. All the members have great music videos, Jisoo’s has no difference with the beauty and the voice of the other members. She’s just as amazing as the others. But this is ur opinion so I can’t really do anything about that 🙂
I was actually expecting to hate it, but I ended up liking it? Maybe it’s because the bar was in hell and the mv proved me wrong, but I’m actually listening to it on repeat It does seem like it’ll grow stale quickly though

The tearing off of the choker at the end is a signal of the character taking charge of her independence. She is no one's pet or possession. PS: This is a description of a role

than it being an ordinary love story, Jisoo is playing a sex worker, a 'flower girl.' In past centuries in China, Japan and Korea, the title 'sing-song girl' (Chinese:), or 'flower girl,' was a slang term for a courtesan. The MVs could look the same but the meaning is totally different
bro u literally don’t like anything
i feel like the song is too soft for her voice. she has a rly hard-hitting, loud, strong voice, so for them to give her a song that would fit jennie's or rose's voices rly shows how much yg pays attention to what fits their idols. they did good with her bside though. and even though it's the EXACT SAME set up for a song (verse, pre chorus, chorus with like 0 vocals) all eyes on me fits her voice so much better. and the fact this release is most likely to be her last solo release EVER rly upsets me.

It wasn't bad. Not the best but not the worst. For me Lisa is the only member with a truly terrible solo debut
Yeaha right. Yet Lalisa won two mtvs for best kpop. You definitely are a Jennifer ot3 who hates anythin Lisa related. Lalisa MADE the most impact and noise among the other 3 debut solos...LISA IS THE IT GIRL..
I'm agreeing
fax. Lisa's Solo literally made my ears bleed 😭😭
coz maybe she was hyped
Lisa’s song was good, but only for a party vibe. Or like a sound for tiktok. It was only good for like a few months and then it died down. Especially lalisa. Her song is a completely different vibe ig. It was good, but only in the moment
You never like anything so not surprised.

As soon as the song released, I knew the theme of her hating Blackpink so I expected this video. I bet you the game that Blackpink have coming up will be hated on too.
i thought it was good but i agree with some of your opinions. Like it felt rushed. And yg wtf? High budget? naw I refuse to believe that
They said Pink Venom is most expensive MV and now this? Like bruh she was just standing in and outside a hotel ☠️ Pink Venom and even Lalisa looked more expensive. It's probably just to get as much hype as they can but Jisoo deserve better

They had to rent out a cricket million dollar hotel for Jisoo’s solo. Is that not enough for you
How Lisa became company favorite when yg announced before Lisa solo that they cut the budget for an mv, lalisa film In studio, and outdoor location that's in sk only, while Jisoo film her mv overseas and yg announced that's it's the most expensive mv that they're ever produce so who you fooling now 😅 not Lisa problem that despite getting low budget Lisa mv looks more expensive than jisoo mv that had biggest budget and film overseas yet so underwhelming and disappointing to you 😅
@LIfe sucks I'm not a jisoo stan and idc about fan wars I was just pointing out that yg didn't put in enough effort for Jisoo lol 💀 I'm on her side not against it

Babes do you like anything at this point
while i personally think the song suits her, this is why i don't believe all members of a group need solos. jisoo doesn't have the best vocals or presence so her solo just seems kinda unnecessary?
agree. she's the only one that i was worried about with having a solo since she doesn't seem to have anything much to work with and isn't very passionate. i thought at the very least it would have to be a pretty vocal performance but unfortunately that was cut short and we didn't get to dive into her range and potential.
very different to the other girls whose solos are also underwhelming but have alot more substance. jennie going first made sense and it was a catchy bp song that let her charisma take hold. rose having something a touch more artistic and emotive that follows her indie artist vibe. lisa with the train wrecks that are lalisa and money but they still went with her persona and an easy catchy sound. and then you have flower. which just sits there. i think it's definitely the most forgettable.

I don’t agree with every word in the video, it’s kinda true there’s not a lot of creativity but it’s not horrible. All the members have great music videos, Jisoo’s has no difference with the beauty and the voice of the other members. She’s just as amazing as the others. Call me biased but i like it
She never said that people don’t have to love it she just gave her opinion about the song
You are not giving an opinion anymore you are just pure hating
ikr
YEA AGREE WITH YOU I FEEL SO BAD FOR JISOO WHY DO THEY HAVE TO TREAT HER LIKE THIS..😢I WANNA PUT YG IN JAIL
its good...
it's yg, this is exactly why yall have to keep your expectations low when it comes to shitty companies like that
@@camilo5740 ikr Yg is biasing
@@camilo5740 exactly, the blinks makes laugh when they are angry with yg,come on that company works like that always, and the girls are happy and they will sign their contract again and the music will be the same with the same teddy lol
Treat her like what? She said she chose the song herself and she likes it. Some blinks blame yg for anything and everything.
Tbh this mv feels like dior show nd presenting some dressess nd those hand movement are really awkward i was thinking why it's feeling empty nd you said it correctly bcz of lack of chrisma
The song is ok...good u know , it's just it could've been 100 time better that's it
" Walmart version of Jennie's solo" so true. And seeing her dance in the mv was so painful. The tried to recreate Jennie's dancing in the mansion in solo and failed.
True
No you all are just solo Fans who love to compare everything with jennie
@@Joochannsorry even non fans can see how there are many similarities. I didn't even watch solo mv for two years still felt similarities at the first watch. stay blind if you want.
Controversial statement: I have a fairly strong
notion that the subtext of the video is that rather
than it being an ordinary love story, Jisoo is playing a sex worker, a 'flower girl.' In past centuries in China, Japan and Korea, the title 'sing-song girl' (Chinese:), or 'flower girl,' was a slang term for a courtesan. Jisoo is playing the role of someone who is deeply conflicted by her profession, with all the waiting around in hotel rooms and lobbies, avoiding eye contact with maids and elevator operators, plus all the inevitable heartbreak and loneliness. At the same time she is still attracted to the money she makes and the sense of power it brings, as this may be her only alternative to poverty. The tearing off of the choker at the end is a signal of the character taking charge of her independence. She is no one's pet or possession. PS: This is a description of a role
that actress Jisoo is playing. It is not actually a
description of our wonderful Jisoo, the brilliant and talented actor and singer from Blackpink.
Not my theory, credits to the person who made this
while the mvs could look the same the meanings between jennie's and jisoo's are completely different
This is not constructive criticism it's negativity
No that’s just an opinion, bcs kpop stans always want everyone to agree with them and want everyone having their opinion
@@Angelssiq I'm keeping my tabs on you and see how your opinion change when she attacked your faves
@@Angelssiq no its not a opinion they are hating on jisoo the whole video
@@alive2275 i don't have faves 🤣
@@alive2275 im just saying facts, an offended blink again...
Still don’t get Wym by Jisoo doesn’t have charisma and the blank expressions was meant to be as it’s not a happy song. The song was good but the Mv was boring
Words after 3:45 were hitting like arrows in my heart.
nah i agree with you i was waiting for her first solo for so long and it dissappointed me
You should have seen the choreography video where jisoo was just there throwing hands and the only "dance" she did was the chorus-💀
Yeah and so what it's elegant and it's beautiful if you don't like it why think posting this makes you any better. 😂
And I'm not even blaming jisoo here, It's the choreographer who made this soo-
Same goes for rosé.. she also just threw hands and sat on the ground lol. Jisoo is not even a dancer so its okay for her.. but rosé is a lead dancer then also her choreography was shit. 😅
@@Md5438- yaa ikr the choreographers r really smth
I like the song, the video was good, not great, and it doesn’t matter because I could watch Jisoo all day, she is so gorgeous, I’m in love ❤❤❤
When i heard the song for the first time my thought immediately went wow this would be a perfect audio for tiktok
Cause now, labels only release music for tik tok
is it really a surprise atp? she's the ultimate kpop dozen
Not when jin exists
@@Btstanked jin can sing and dance 100000x better than stiffso like let's not even go there LMFAO.....he's not the best in bts but he outdances and outsings that girlie by a mile.

I love the song. The MV felt like the director was drunk though...the performance and lives were so much better than the MV.
pffft bro, u should’ve explained y it is poor to u w facts, evidence, or sth scientific, everything u talking is so substantial, Poor you🥺💀pfffft
im ngl youre just hating for the sake of it bruh
I mentioned that this is NOT hideous, bland, droopy, annoying, dirty or boring. It's my favourite song of the year. 🎀✨💐🌷
i think i agree with her and she is a great artist and deserves a Solo that suits her and wich songs really come from heart and YG always mistreating her..... and she is deserve better and i think ppl’s expectations were higher because of YG’s high budget claim. They should really stop doing that. That creates a hype and disappointment afterwards.
The only thing I agree with is the awkward dance steps in the hallways. and with the music
