  • Here’s a quick video for the replacement of the air filter from normal paper to pipercross performance foam air filter.
Sound is not great but gets the job done.

The filter should stay up in place on it's own. It just needs some force, pushing up hard, to attach to the lip. If your filter was falling down onto the airbox lid like this, it will not be seated properly - there will be a gap at the top, where unfiltered air will get into the air intake!

      Hi Droge,
Thank you so much for watching.
Yes it should, but not all air filters are made the same.
Paper filters are lighter and they grip the “neck” inside better.
Pipercross is heavier and the rubber grips don’t protrude as much as the paper ones, K&Ns also has this problem.
There will be no gap on top, the air filter is made slightly longer then the airbox so when the bottom cover is screwed on, the air filter will sit snug inside between the top and the bottom cover. What’s more important is to make sure that filter sits properly on the bottom when it does stay up in place.
If you watch the video closely, I cannot fully seat the bottom cover until the screws are all in place.
If push hard, it will damage the filter. Finesse is key when working on cars. Not brute force.
No engineer will make an air filter box that doesn’t have a positive lock on the air filter, it will be rattling inside.
Thanks for pointing it out so others can take note!

      Hey Bro,
Good day, did you see my video on changing the fuel hoses? There is also a L-shaped quick connector that is there that will leak after some years.
From what you described, it sounds like that’s the problem. You have to open up the engine cover on top to see it.
If you google fuel connectors, you should find it. The internal ID is 7.89.
About cleaning the Fuel injectors, you may have to buy the service kit that consist of the micro filters, O-rings and plastic rings before you do anything.
It is kinda of big job so having everything ready is better. Is there a shop in your country that does fuel injector servicing? It would be a better idea to send to them as it is a specialist job.
But you will have downtime while you wait for them to do the cleaning.
      Let me know what happens!
Cheers and great to hear from you!

      Hello,
No, it is still inside the original air box, but if you strain your ears, there is still a slight induction sound.
