How are the line rates for T3 and E3 calculated? The level 3 rates don't quite match up using the number of LV1 circuits and the respective line rates. Would the listed line rates be physical measurements?
T3: 28 T1 circuits = (28 * 1.544 Mbits/s) = 43.232 Mbits/sec
E3: 16 E1 circuits = (16 * 2.048 Mbits/s) = 32.768 Mbits/sec
There are additional bits used for frame alignment and bit stuffing (to adjust for different incoming data rates), and all of those extra bits add up to the extra line rate.
Could the DSL service provider just use a repeater to extend the 10,000ft limitation? I mean, if they could of they would of I guess but still. I'd like to know why.
I do not understand what you mean when you say that we have moved away from the circuit switched T1 and T3. I was under the impression that T1 and T3 are leased line connections, or something that is entirely different than circuit or packet switched networks. What I think is that leased line is always active (similar to packet switched networks) but all the bandwidth is reserved for your connection. Can you please help me understand what I’m getting wrong? I wthought they were separate things with no overlap but as I google more I am getting more confused.

Do we need to know these old types of connections like ISDN for the certification?

@@agfagaevart Thats hardly matter cause CompTIA certificate is worldwide known . You can refer this as reputetable cert to your employer regardless your place.
