That first Pbq was hilarious.
Keeping my fingers crossed that all my PBQ's end up being that level of easy haha
The 2nd one must have been the hardest comptia pbq question ever!!! I legit thought gateway and router are the same thing
Hey man thank you for doing this. It’s some of the most helpful material on CZcams. Definitely subscribing. Hope you keep going with this and continue to help people out!
Thanks for watching and subscribing :) I plan to continue with YT, although the video material may change.
same, just subscribed. thanks Vincent!
Love these types of videos, they’re really helpful for studying and getting a feel of what will be on the exam
Glad you like them!
Literally took my Net+ today and Passed it, Second attempt at this exam, and i got to admit the second exam was harder, didn't pass by alot or anything, ironically i hit the 720 exact lol
Well done! Great job 👏
@Lee1179 Congratulations! Hell I'll take a 720 as long as I pass! I'm taking my test End of this week. Whatever I get, I just hope it's enough. I'm burnt out on studying. If I end up failing after all the effort I put it will really hurt.... ugh, We'll see!
@@dennyklein1965How’d it go
Congrats! Have you landed a job
@@thomstant I've been with a MSP for almost 2 years, but getting it did get me a raise lol
COMP TIA is not well written. A lot of the questions are designed to confuse you..
I dont disagree!!
It’s pretty bad, like the questions are made by a faulty AI or something.
No they are designed to make sure you know your stuff.
@@SP-eg9lothe pbqs are literally filled with things not 100% covered in a normal net+ course, they have hints of A+ and sec+. Video poster knows his stuff too and was even confused at some of these oddly put together questions.
Thanks for the video. I’m currently studying for my N+, so this video was helpful
I love these videos, so helpful and your honesty is respected. I'm taking my exam in a few weeks and I feel almost ready. What application do you use to make these videos?
Thanks Chris! DaVinci Resolve 17. Good luck on your exam! 🙂
Which Certmaster Bundle do i purchase that includes both the hands-on Labs and the PBQ's? Professor Messer sells the Certmaster Bundle as well, but his Bundle doesn't include the 26 Labs like yours does. His Bundle only includes the PBQ's.
Continue posting! Love your content
Thank you Shania!
Hey great video and a very good introduction to PBQs
I came across your video and I take the network+ 008 test in an hour. Wish me luck!
LUUUUUUCK
@@vincenthumble I unfortunately didn't pass. I got 667 for my score. 720 is passing out of 900.
@@corey7219don’t give up . A lot of people don’t pass the first time
I plan on taking my Network+ on the 17th. Your vids have helped me quite a bit, I also took Jason Dion's exam and didn't do too well. Good to know that his test was a lot harder than the actual exam. Best of luck to you!
Thanks for watching, glad these videos have been helpful! Jason Dions tests had some off the wall questions. Thanks and you too!
Did you pass friend
Great video!! Does the performance based questions fall under the Cert master learn or Labs. I plan on purchasing the labs, just wondering was it come with.
It's definitely worth it! I had the product "CertMaster Learn and CertMaster Labs for Network+" so I can't say for sure, but if I had to guess then I would guess that the PBQs fall under learn. I did all the labs for college courses. Those were honestly really satisfying and interesting, best homework ever. IF you are a student I believe you can get a discounted price for all the materials, may be worth looking into.
Thanks a lot Sir!
I have a question selecting all questions there's somewhere to submit or its automatic once the time is over??? Pls Sir ! Sorry to for asking, as I'm studying N+ right away and I would like to get more regarding
Hopefully tomorrow when I write this comes in handy, wish I found your videos sooner
Love it!
Taking my exam next month! Thanks for the tips!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching and good luck! 🤞
How do you practice the command line stuff for the 3rd question? You got to that one and I felt completely clueless haha. Is there some kind of practice resource that you like to use? I can memorize the commands all day but when it comes to the arguments, order of the arguments, etc I have literally no idea
Can you provide a link to the PBQ questions you were taking?
Thanks for sharing .... do more thanks
More to come! Thanks for watching. Thank you
your videos are part of my study guide! lets talk about typos lol can you do any of the following. 6b,7a.
Hi Vincent ,
Quick question please, I’m interested in cyber security, what would you recommend to do first? Comptia network + or Comptia security+ ? I’m trying to work my way up to the comptia cysa.
Thank you.
It depends on your prior knowledge and experience, but net+ then sec+ is generally what I would recommend
Hi Vincent, can you do another video like this please?
Hi Shania! I really would like to, but because I am pressed for time I am typically limited to content that coincides with what I am currently studying.
So this is just the cermaster labs? I'm confused, went to their website and they have a million bundles, which one is this?
How can I receive this list of perfomance based questions?
Hi, First of all Thank you for this video. I am halfway through to my course on udemy and planning to take Net+ on the last week of Jan, so it'll give me plenty of time to review and do practice exams a lot. My question is, do you have to type answers for the PBQ exams? or it's just like this? drag and drop or choose the options?
I believe many are similar to this, but I would say be ready for anything
I took the exam and didnt really get close. From my experience the PBQs on the certmaster are not as similar to the ones as the exam. Do you have other suggestions? Im trying to pass the exam by end of this month but I always gets stuck on these damn PBQs
Sorry to hear that Nemo! I would suggest doing hands on labs if you can. The PBQs are designed to test your hands on skills, so maybe practicing setting up actual devices like switches, routers, setting IP address on a host, etc could be helpful. There are free ways to access these"hands on labs" even if you don't have the physical hardwars. For example, packet tracer. Good luck!
What is a so damn sad is, I found more PBQs that seem to come closer to the Real exams from youtube for learning purposes than the actual Certmaster itself. I wish they used similar ones to the certmaster program considering it's far more expensive. The hands on Labs are ok from Certmaster, some are quite buggy and it's very time consuming when it doesn't do what it's supposed to do. Some of them have difficult to understand instructions. One of them I did kept telling me to use a Linux command starting with SU instead of it telling me SUDO. I kept getting a message that i didn't have priviledges. After research I found out it should have said to use SUDO. I was finally able to finish the stupid lab after doing that fix.
nice video, keep going!
Thanks @Alaynn 😁 I will!
From my experience with the Network+ exams at least through pearsonVue the PBQs are a lot harder than this. I have to troubleshoot the system and Certmaster is not good with teaching you how to do that at all. Its great for understanding how things work but can't find anywhere to practice troubleshooting a network. Do you have any recommendations on where I can do that?
Vincent love the videos. Fair play mate
Thank you
Im taking my exam tomorrow. Im a little nervous because i've been studying for this for long time. Also thank you for making these videos. This is material that i dont have access to so thank you.
I have a question. So lets say you get one of those questions that asks you to select all that apply.
And lets say you get 2/3 answers correct. You'd still get partial credit right? or would the whole question count as incorrect,
I believe you do get partial credit.
@@vincenthumble I passed by the way. Barely passed with 760 not great not terrible. But hey it's. Pass
Woooooo nice job!! 👏
@@vincenthumble it wasn't easy I'll tell you that. 2 performance questions the first one was easy and the second one was kinda hard. And got maximum of 80 questions most multiple choice and some are select two answers. This was my first certification in IT. And I don't know if I should go security+ next or A + next
hi, can you sell the access to the comptia network + pbq's?
I didn’t pass my first go but I was close. Got a 657. My version had to have been one of the harder ones because I swear it had like 5 PBQs that were decently difficult 😂 getting ready to retake this Saturday and I’m hoping that my specific studies on the weaknesses I identified when I was taking the test will bring me to passing.
Funny failed today at 657 n had same 5 pbqs , I feel that's the ones that failed me .used many resources and did 9 simulation tests ,,, when you go to the real test you always face never seeing questions before
So study n hope for some good luck too
Just took the network+ cert and failed it. I had 6 pbq's and didn't get any of them correct. Failed it but going back on Friday to retest.
We go again!
Damn 6 pbqs 😂 and how many multiple questions you left with?
Passed my Network+ this morning. Studied three to five hours during the week, and up to seven hours on the weekend for six months. Reviewed with Professor Messer Network+ videos and some from you, Vincent. Like you said, know the materials ( I made sure to pass the practice exams with at least 95% before registering to sit for the exam; had issues distinguishing between SoW and SLA ). Had four PBQs, one of which I couldn't get to on time ( wasted eight minutes trying to get the attention of the proctor/attendant for an additional whiteboard and marker that ran out of ink ). I scanned the PBQs on first starting the exam then jumped into completing the multiple-choice questions; completed those with 40 minutes left for the hands-on. Thought I failed and will have to appeal those lost minutes before finding out I passed in the low 800s. Focused on reading and understanding the command outputs as much as possible from all the commands and switches you're supposed to be familiar with. Good luck to all; I'm off on the Security+ journey.
May I ask how much you scored at jason dion's test? I had around 65-72% first time I did. I am at around 78% now and didn't really watch the answers in between but i am still far from 90%and i am taking the exam in 2 days
Did you pass? I am getting an 80 flat and take it in three days
@@SuitOne yes 761
Oh that's awesome dude, congratulations. I take mine tomorrow, I'm retaking all the tests the second time around and I've gone from mid 70s to low 90s so I'm feeling cautiously optimistic. Hopefully I pass@@alexandru6105
Why would netsh be on the exam? I don't see it under the COMPTia exam objectives. Did I miss something?
Makes it easier for them to get that $$
I have my exam in 10 hours and might shed a tear if I get that wireless setup question lol. Never good at it
What I don't get is we have only 1 min per question in the exam. How did you pass and what score did U receive
I don't remember my score, but in terms of the timing for each question, the questions are written in such a way that you either know the answer or you have a pretty good guess, or you have no idea. There isn't much to reason out or think through so the questions really don't take as long as you might think. It's not like I'm math test where you have to do work on each problem
They don't give you like 75 -80 paragraph questions. It would be very difficult to finish a test like that AND doing PBQs. The majority of questions won't be longer than 2 or 3 short sentence. Maybe a few paragraph style questions. If you've been studying a decent amount you will get a couple easy quick answer questions that won't take more than 10-15 seconds to answer. The More PBQs you get on the Exam, the Less Multiple choice you get and vise versa. In terms of practice tests, I had a struggle finishing Jason Dions multiple choice questions within the 90 minutes. I felt like I read an entire book by the time I was done.
I love your cat
How do I purchase it?
Comptia website
Can you do them all
All what?
I got 5 PBQ. I'm restudying to retake the exam.
I got 7 pbqs
Failed today 657 grrr ,5 pbqs all hard n time consuming .
Advice skip them till last as I waisted time on them n they take a toll on you mentally .
Wish all my resources and exam simulations had pbqs they didn't
Really wouldve helped had you fully gone back through the 2nd question instead of just reading the answer quickly.
How the hell were you able to pass Net+ and never passing the practice exam?! I did the practice exam 21 freaking times, scoring around 95%, and just failed the cert exam. Just now. How the hell?! There were so many questions that weren't in the exam or ANY of the damn training modules. Wtf? I really want to know exactly what questions I missed bc some of those came from far left field or worded in such a way they didn't make any sense or connecting to the training material I had been studying. But whatever. I got 1 free shot from the VA and have to pay almost $400 to take it again, but it's not really the path I'm going for so not too big a deal, I guess. I have to study up for my Sec+ voucher, so I hope that one doesn't require too much subnetting bc I hate that crap.
I failed Net + today, and agree with the out-of-left-field questions!! And the pbq's were insane. BUT, I passed Sec+ a month ago and thought it was easier lol so, hopefully that works out for you 🤞
lmaoooo that first question
kitty cat!!
Haha yessss he snuck in I think
Thanks for this, but uuuuhhh, YOU CANT MOVE ON TO THE NEXT PBQ WITHOUT SHOWING US THE 100% RIGHT ANSWERS!!! No, Vincent, we dont "get the picture" lol
😂 an opportunity to research
Question one was the easiest ever then 2 was way too hard lol
Agree lol
Thanks but I wish you showed the correct answers
I wish comptia would invest a little more energy on their PBQ's I think the reason I fail most of them is because of the way it's displayed it makes it unclear on what to do for a majority of them. I remember my Sec+ I passed it on my first try and the PBQ's were just really confusing in terms of what they need you to do. I've failed Network + 2 times because of the PBQ's I can almost guarantee I did and it's not because I don't know the material but it looks nothing like the real products.
I agree with you on this point, as I also failed and I know it's because of the PBQs (it wasn't very clear)
What area of things should be studies to understand the concept of the 2nd and 3rs one
