On paper, it looks great -
- 4K UHD with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, MEMC Technology
- Smart Android TV with Google Assistant
- 55" Bezel-Less Design
- Dolby Audio with DTS-HD
but how does it actually perform in the real world?
So in this video, after testing it out for a month. I'm giving you a few reasons why you should and shouldn't buy the Xiaomi Mi TV P1 55" 4K Android TV.

Please do not listen to what he says about input lag for controllers, all you have to do is go to HDMI settings and select 2.0 or 2.1 and this TV becomes incredible for gaming
Are all ports hdmi 2.1? You mean can choose version from the setting?
@@cellomalaysia wow first time i find out hdmi port can set version from setting! Even from 1.4 version to 2.1!
@@iamyul3498 can't remember exactly where I saw it but the steps are childplay:
Set to gaming mode for picture
Set HDMI port to 2.1

@@cellomalaysia thanks so much for this tip! Planning to buy this tv but his comment regarding input lag got me down, then saw your comment and it gave me life again lol xD
Man if you always got this to can u tell me the distance between the two foot of the tv ?
Just bought this for my PS5 and it's perfect. No input lag as this guy claimed. Just need to change the hdmi from 1.4 to 2.1 to enable game mode and it will get the best out of your console.
hi bro, sorry for asking. where I can find the 'Game Mode' in setting? or only after using hdmi 2.1, the option will be enable?
Bro ,pls tell me bay it or not ? 🙏🙏🙏 for Ps 5
I think so , he's probably used to 1ms RT , then says this TV is bad
He doesn't know where to switch the hdmi function from 1.4 to 2.1 , as he may not even (RTFM) READ THE Freaking manual) 🤣🤣 then claims as per what he found . This is not a true review

Awesome review with pro level production values right there. Subscribed!
Great review. Thanks you hellped me to choose the Sony X75
Greeting from Thailand bro. Nice review. I'm planing on buying this soon so this is indeed helpful to me. Cheers.
Great video! Do you know what the peak brightness is?
That's an awesome review! Thanks!
this review helped me a lot, thanks
👍am currently in the Market for a TV and this model pops up(alot in CZcams)...not many talk abt the audio...or don't have audio testing or some sort...speech drowning under background music is definitely bad. True ,the placement of the ports are weird. Another tv brand with similar price point is iffalcon but very few reviews on it considering its has a va panel.
This is a professional review, thanks.
lol didn’t realized it’s a malaysian channel until you mentioned the price
Bro, this review is like word by word from the one posted by KLGadgetGuy in September 2021.
Thank you for the review bro! Simple, nice and accurate!
Very helpfull thankyou.
Great video.
Thx a lot for the video it helps a lot.
I currently live in China and the Xiami tvs got THAT much better..
im buying a 85'' 4k 144hz memc 1600 nits hdr and game mode that brings input lag down and 4ms response time for 4900 yuan..thats like 700 dollars.
I'm thinking of buying a XIAOMI MI TV P1 43" LED SMART TV 4K . Only the place where I'm going to put the TV is quite far from the router. So as I have a mi Box S I did the following experience: I put the mi Box S in the place where I will put the XIAOMI MI TV P1 43" LED SMART TV 4K and saw how it responded in terms of WiFi connectivity 2.4G/5G. I was surprised because even with WiFi 5G responded reasonably. My question is whether the XIAOMI MI TV P1 43" LED SMART TV 4K placed in this same location will have identical answer, higher or lower than that of mi Box S in terms of receiving the signal Wi.Fi? It is that I do not know if the mi Box S as it has no RJ-45 network port comes optimized in terms of reception / connection by wi-fi compared to these Xiaomi TVs!
The sound is actually surprisingly good.
The Bluetooth remote can be tedious to use though.
Can u elaborate?
@@yanchunchew9970 it disconnects often, or just refuses to send the signal sometimes.
@@DarknoorX probably because the remote goes into sleep mode after a period of time.
This also happens with xiaomi android sticks due to the sleep mode option.
Thank you very much for providing me with useful and honest information
The delay in the game is a very negative point and I regret buying this TV

Would the sound quality be a lot better if you had a sound bar with it? I’m glad I found this video as I was looking to buy one of these 👍👍👍
100%. I never use my tv's built in speaker, even a 40$set of budget speaker will yield a much better audio output. It has a 3.5mm jack so no issues
My man, can you suggest the most affordable 4K 43" tv that support gaming mode which not noticable the input lag. I play ps5
Please compare Mi TV P1 vs Samsung AU8000, Sir.
There is gaming mode, just change to HDMI 2.1.
At least it has a 3.5mm compared to my LG, so the audio issues can be easily solved without extra investments.
Is it good enough as a computer screen for macbook (not gaming) connected through HDMI? no lag?
Hi, do you know what is the use of the colored boxes on the remote control?
Does it have wifi connection? Is it possible connect sonos audio? 😊
HI. does this TV have any output (Digital Out) for connection into my Home Theatre System? Kindly advise. Thanks!
how does it fare when used as a monitor? for office/excel work are the text clear? tq
Visual image quality and android support is all I'm looking for
bruuuh this was 600 USD 1 year ago? I checked local shops and you can buy an LG 55" for 475 euro LOL!
don't get me wrong I love Xiaomi, I have the Xiamo Redmi Note 8 Pro & Xiami Mi Box S and they are really good products for their value!
But they really need to get the price down if they want to compete with TV Giants like LG & Samsung...
I'm looking into this and would like to know if it's possible to use PIP with this or not really or if it is app dependent and not usable with different HDMI ports. Can you confirm or clarify if it's possible?
What application did you use for IOS?
Hi. Dude. Does it support LongTV app?
Thanks for the review! Does Windows PC connected via HDMI (at least 2.0) recognize this TV as HDR 10 bit panel? Thanks in advance, cannot find this info anywhere!
Would like to know as well, as I'm mostly planning it to have it connected to my PC when I feel like playing more casual, controller-friendly games (don't care about 120hz in cases like that so much).
Is the response time too bad? for direct pc connection?
Hi did u all far away mic working ? It only can heard hey google but wont do any command only working with remote tv only pls help
Xiaomi got a really good price for the german market atm, today i bought the 50 inch Version for only 329€
Where? 😳
sounds good to me except the ease of connecting if hung on the wall. Why don't these manufacturers put the connectors near to the edge.
Hello, the sound is that bad ? like for watching movies do I need an extra audio system ?
how about input lag on pc gaming?
best review on this so far..
thanks man 😀
Does the 50 inch has an IPS Panel ?
What would you recommend for a budget over all tv then?

@@cyruscarlos5822 what model ?
Hello, tnx for youre testing results but I always missing a few things when ppl make reviews.
1. What speed has it if I use it as an iptv with or without a catchup (Tivimate)?
2. What is the range of the wifi5 for streaming? Wifi5 mostly sucks using it 1 floor higher.
3. Can we customized the buttons with buttonmapper? Xiaomi Mibox can't so it's annoying!
4. Can we install Tivimate/ Alternate CZcamss/apk's directly from USB/....?
What is this tv's width between the stand?
I would like to know about the local files reproduction performance, like 4K files.
FYI, the new 55'' QLED 55Q1E has an awesome built-in sound system, I am pretty amazed from the sound quality and volume!

Wait this tv does not have Hdmi 2.1 does it? The official website does not say anything about having hdmi 2.1
Thanks for pointing out the input lag. This is a deal-breaker for me.
There is a Game Mode which decreases the lag by a lot, some reviewers have wrong information...
Or maybe european Version is different I dont know but i have the 55 Inch and it works fine
@@t07minas have you already tried a real gaming monitor ? I just wanna know the contrast between the input lag of a normal gaming monitor and the tv in game mode.
Did you turn on the game mode ? Because it will have a lot of input lag if it is turned off

main reason for the button placement in remote is for "sponsorship". One way of getting the tv price down :)
Is this model LED or QLED?
this tv is durable. i own one. My toddlers like to hit the screen tv whenever baby shark dudududud comes on

No input lag at all, just go to settings and change hdmi port version from 1.4 to 2.1
Or you can just turn on game mode
What TV i should buy for ps5?
hi, can you do a comparison on Xiaomi Mi TV P1 55 vs Xiaomi TV A Pro 55? Both has similar spec, but different price 😯😯
is definitely a must buy
majority have a soundbar, and wont make a difference, gaming tho , for who games on this, yes is bad,but for movies ,its a no brainer, cheap, good quality
WHY XIAOMI DIDNT MAKE THE P1 IN 75"? THE 75" IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR THE PRICIER Q RANGE
Thank you so much for the Video, I won't buy a Xiaomi or I will wait until they fix the audio, or save money to ad a SounBar I Guess if it has Audio Ouput jack.
Have usb recording ?
I like your glasses, can you give me a link please?
XIAOMI P1 VS TCL 55P615 which one better? Since both have similar price
Mi TV has better processor & IO, tcl has better color calibration & slightly better speaker. Yes, P618 use Android 9 if that's a big deal. if you want gaming, buy Sony tv instead.
@@zazatava9058 Have usb recording Mi TV ?
what about the 43 inch version?
Either you are lying or are... Well....gaming DOES NOT have lag. I was put to a shame and ask in the store to connect a xbox X and a Ps5 to the TV because of this... And in gaming mode it's absolutely normal..
We all have soundbars, the audio is just a small thing for me😊
padu! 👍🏻
Can this tv wall mounted ?
Thank you for this informative video, i connected the TV to google assistant, but how to turn on the tv by voice command? Turning off and seeking all works well with the Google Assistant on my phone but turning it on does not work, i also cannot find a "standby" stand, it is either ON or OFF this might be the reason for not turning it on by voice command? If anyone knows more about it let me know pls ty!
I already found out how, it was in the developer options (to enable them press many times on the build number field in about settings) then in the developer options seek for Enable wake up on WiFi and turn that on.
Be carefull in the developers settings, i was playing around with it and wanted to try one setting then my screen turned full screen pinkish and i could not see settings anymore the backbutton homebutton did not help, then i tryed to take the power off for 5 min or so, turned it back on and thank god all was normal again, no wonder they have the developers settings hidden......
Watching this video in this tv :)
I think the sound is terrible on my Xiaomi. The volume is very log. Have to put it in full volume in my PS4 to hear anything at all.
Hi does anybody know if this tv support chroma 4.4.4 . I intended to use as pc monitor
HOW BIG IS THE INPUT LAG :D please give numbers idol
On Xiaomi's website this is marketed as having a VA-type panel, in spite of all smaller variants being IPS. Is there any official documentation to confirm this?
Not 100% sure but I think that IPS display should have perfect view angles and as he said that it hasn´t perfect view angles then probably its VA display
Apparently, the 55" is actually VA alright, while the smaller ones are ADS/IPS.

Good question
Get the P1 Since its brighter and you need that brightness to combat glare and get better hdr

Can the motion smoothing thing be turned off completely? Considering it as a budget tv and it would be an absolute deal breaker if it can't be turned off. Hate that thing to bits for watching content and movies

@@ebiL3288 i am wondering it if it performs properly with it off. My experience with the Q1 75inch when turn off motion enhancement it became somewhat choppy and some scene will have light flickering

The image is really good but many of my video contents are not 4k, more like 1080p/720p, so the video process is very weird and has some lag on it. And unfortunately there isn't an option on settings to change the resolution in order to be according we the video we are watching.
So it cannot change automatically based on your videos resolution? That's why it's cheap I guess..
Any updates?
