I have a twenty year old 8 bay charger that's the size of a house brick, and my rechargeable AA's that still work are about the same age too. It's something I've never thought about replacing but this could be an upgrade worth considering, especially with the better technology in the batteries. Thanks Steve. Steve, a rechargeable battery has a max input current. as you add batteries the current spread across each cell goes down. Thus, to maintain max current into each cell , you increase it as the cell number goes up.
They are a good price even over here in the UK.
