1:29 I traveled this Aug 15 I am a natural born US citizen so not a balikbayan . I do the e travel each time I have travelled home . The first time I was allowed to come to the Philippines , I did the early version OHP and they did look for it but on subsequent visits they only glanced at it , this recent one no one looked for it ! 🤔 😅 I was surprised the Immigration officer stamped my passport with one year stay 😊, didn’t ask for a return ticket , nor how long I will stay 😃 Terminal 1 wasn’t too long of a line and moved pretty quick.. So it was a painless trip …
I flew into terminal 1 as well 3 weeks ago, after the passport check nothing else was checked . No one asked for the e qr code or the customs form that they give won the flight . Usually when I land at terminal 3 they check everything
USA citizen, will be vacationing in the PI again in December now that sanity has returned. Plan on retiring to Manila in the next couple of years. Love the PI. Great information, Liked and Subscribed.
Hi guys Jennifer said she was going to leave comments to get ahold of Filipino drivers to pick you up at the airport. I appreciate the some comments on that thank you

Question; Is arrival day still counting as day zero? source on that? Also got Balikbayan 6 weeks ago without asking travelling with my Filipina wife, got all the papers with us but did not need it this time :) Also we stayed 36 days and did not need to show return ticket in origin airport, I guess we should have to do that because they could not possibly know we were going to get Balikbayan. We used palawan pawnshop and world remit a few times and it worked well, just don't forget to bring you passport for id check. Also besides Grab, we used Joyride in Manila & Cebu and it worked as well as Grab :) Also we used metered taxis on a few shorter trips and it was actually half price compared to Grab & Joyride.
Please if you’re bringing cash ensure your $$$$ paper bills are brand new /specifically Palawan very picky $$$because most of the money exchanges are not going to cash out your $$$
I hope all the airlines around the world know about the Balikbayan privilege because they are the ones that determine whether or not we can purchase the tickets. My first time I had a problem and the last time I check, it was not spelled out in the Immigration regulations anymore.
Hi Jennifer. Just so you can let the public know that the customs form that is handed to passengers is a waste of time since 2 days ago they handed it to me in Singapore which I filled out and when arriving in NAIA terminal 3 I asked the immigration officer if he wanted he he said no, and said maybe customs wants it. And of course they never even asked me as I walked out of the customs area. Go figure more paperwork to fill out and trash when outside.
Thank you jenn great videos as always..the airport taxi can be a scam watch out ..do not sweat immigration done it 3 times now an its heen no sweat..if you do not wanna pay travel taxes i do jot recommend staying longer then 5 1/2 mo.

Hi Jennifer, I'd like to add this fact, and I'm not plugging for profit, my English friend resident in Cebu says if you have a HSBC bank account and you withdraw cash from it's own ATMs then there is no cash withdrawal charge, this was 4 years ago, perhaps someone on here could confirm it's still available
Hi I'm married to a filipino lady, I'm planning to go and stay in the Philippines for 5 months. What is the best way for me to extend my visa, I'm a Norwegian citizen, Thank you 👍
You can enter visa-free and you'll be given 30 days. Before that ends, you can go to a BI office and extend for another 30 days. Then after that, you can get an extension for 2 months.
Hi Terry, In your video you said e-travel registration is possible 4 days before arrival. Did you mean 3 days? The website says 3 days. Thanks for your excellent videos.

Hi Jennifer, just wanted to add a heads up about driving in the Philippines. If you plan to stay longer than 90 days and still drive you can get a Philippine drivers licence but the kicker is you need an ACR I_card and they are only available at the BI office in Manila so start your application for this card well before your 90 days are up.

Regarding your USA ticket comment, you can cancel for free, but only if your ticket purchase is more than 1 week prior to the flight. I recently made this mistake with United Airlines.
Air Asia asked me for an onward ticket when leaving Kuala Lumpur to return to the Philippines with my Filipina wife. I had an old Balikbayan stamp but she (gate worker) did not understand it. Was almost knocked off the flight but I talked them into letting me onboard although they were not happy with it.
