1970 Dodge Super Bee for sale at Volo Auto Museum (V19050)

Extremely rare and desirable. Genuine V code 6 pack Super Bee, only 1,072 built. Listed in the registry. Original trim tag has been decoded. This car was born with these super attractive colors, N96 ram air, tachometer and high performance axle package.
EXTERIOR: This one has killer looks, I call it a "Killer Bee". Awesome factory colors, no vinyl roof, scoops spoiler and big chrome Magnum wheels. Original B7 Jamaica blue. The body looks like it's in excellent shape. It is smooth everywhere, even along the bottom. I just wiped the whole car down and didn't notice a flaw. The hood fits nice and square. The cowl, doors, trunk all fits real nicely too. The blue metal flake is laid out evenly. It has a very glossy clear coat finish that's polished smooth. It's one of those that looks like you can reach your arm right into it, the finish it so deep. The C stripe is brand new. The rear spoiler was added. The hood scoops are functional. Upfront the bumpers have been rechromed, the grills look excellent. The windshield and rear window is new. Has some minor freckles on the vent window frames, the mirrors are new. New window seals and weather strips. Door jambs are painted real nice. New 15 inch Magnum wheels, extra wide in the back. Has Good Year tires, also fatter in back for a muscle car stance. The rear bumper is rechromed, the tail panel is good original.
INTERIOR: The same Jamaican blue color inside. The seats have been reupholstered front and back. It looks like the door panels are new including armrest bases, pads, door handles and window cranks. The metal door frames have been painted. I'm looking at a beautiful steering wheel with polished spokes ($450). New dash pad. All the wood grain, bezels, knobs, gauges are excellent. It has the factory rallye gauges with tachometer. Inside the glove box is excellence, it has a new liner and owner's manual. In between the bucket seats is a really nice original console that's been treated to some new wood grain. The best part is that pistol grip 4-speed. Under the dash is the lever for the fresh air to be allowed into the carb and working reverse indicator. Overhead it has new headliner, the shoulder belts, visors and mirror is excellent. The dome light works. Rear speaker shelf is excellent. New B7 blue seat belts front and back- $550. New high beam switch, turn signal switch, rear window trim. A correct radio was bought and professionally serviced, new knobs and then installed. New inner and outer radio bezels.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a correct date coded 440 motor for the car. Casting date on block is 7-24-69, date car was assembled 9-25-69. Factory 6-pack carbs. Also a functional factory N96 Ram Charger system. The air cleaner base was powder coated. Other features include power steering and power brakes. New power steering gearbox, pump and brackets. The wiper motor looks restored. The engine bay is all nice clean metal that's been painted to match the outside. The original fender tag is still attached, the VIN number on the core support matches the car. It has a big Duralast battery, bolted down properly, cables look new. All the components look good- the horns, regulator, alternator etc. The factory exhaust manifolds were Jet Hot coated. Mopar radiator was restored, has correct hose clamps.

This car brings back memories. My brother had a 1970 Super Bee identical to this one, except his was root beer colored. We got run out of Dallas by the Texas State police because the pipes were too loud. They said they knew we were from California as soon as they heard the pipes.

Omfg omfg omfg omfg. That is incredible. Has all the goodies, dual functional hood scoops super bee stripe spoiler, ramcharger air, 440 six pack, four speed, pistol grip, tic toc tac, buckets console, my pee pee is hitting my chin. One of the nicer muscle cars I've ever seen wow!

An uncle of mine had an identical var that was in a barn of a farm he bought in the late 70's. Had been hit on the driver's front fender.
He got tired of moving it out of his way, so was pushed into a sinkhole.
Some time later the sinkhole was torched. In the aftermath the super bee was the topper for over 30 vintage cars in that sinkhole, lost to history forever. I was unaware that this happened until some years later, and as you can imagine I was sickened.
My father factory ordered a super bee in '69, and it was a road torch. Lost during the divorce with my mom, which was lost to history as well.

Zouhair, there was a black 70 with a black Super Bee stripe and black interior that ran around the north end of Columbus Ohio back in the late '70s.

omg, i'm dead. that thing is so beautiful its painful. all I've ever wanted is a V-code 4sp Mopar B Body...its my fav muscle car. this one sounds like it might have a bit of a cam in it. The new owner will be a lucky guy. one minor thing...the chrome bit between the grills should actually be painted body color...it is part of the chrome bumper, but its painted from the factory to further separate the grills.

Jay, l normally don't , but l looked at the price first........that price must be a mistake ! O.K. Now l'll watch the video. It's a good tip . If you want to have a really good check on the bodywork do what Jay does , give a good , careful. wipe over with a chamois. Sounds like a very angry bee ! This is a car for a film star !! My mistake, i never owned a Super Bee but I had Road Runners and they had a bird above the glove box.

Never appreciated until now. Funny Story. My friend from HS and I just got out of the USN and were driving one night to a party in NORTHGLENN, CO. These two chevy clowns thought they had something special. Drove next to us and started yelling something. Chased them down, both of US were out of the car, my Friend who was not a little guy kept yelling, "CHEVY SUX" walking quickly to the chevy guys, getting ready to do a beat down. THEY TOOK OFF. Yeah they realized chevy SUX and were getting for reality stamped in. AWESOME

Guys there are obvious electrical issues with the car , be aware and mindful if your making an offer. That's a big asking price for a non matching car. Everything should be in perfect working order

Is it best practice leave keys in any keyhole, no, not really. Is it really damaging anything for the few minutes while we film, unlikely.
@@VoloMuseumAutoSales Except the scratch's near the door handle, trunk lid key hole or hood latch. But then what is one or two scratches for the time you own the car before selling it. I still say put them in your pocket and prevent any small unlikely mishap's. I as a body man see lots of scratch's near driver door handles as well as trunk lids. It does not take lots of imagination wondering how they get there.
Never liked the Front end of this body style.
It is a love it or hate it front end. I go between both but the 1 year body style and limited production make this a solid buy.
