Guys... Mitch’s line... That’s what you get when Texas raised you!!!!!! You know the trio (Scott, Mitch & Kirstin) went to the same high school together in Arlington Texas, right? Time to learn their names, since they hail from your home state!
Every different scene there's one member standing up front. That member's style is being represented and the rest of them are dressing in their style.
Gothic glam for Kirstie, Preppy casual for Mitch, Formal drip for Kevin, all black and casual for Avi, and colorful early 90s hip-hop for Scott. It's genius. And each scene is on their college campus!

Pentatonix can sing all genres of music. Kevin's beatboxing is amazing.
That was phenomenal, full stop. Then add to it that it’s a cappella and it’s mind blowing. Her name is Kirstie, rhymes with thirsty.
You guys were talking and totally missed Mitch's line "that's what you get when Texas raised you." I was waiting for some kind of funny reaction from some of my fellow Texans on that line, but you guys missed it! The girl's name is Kirstie, by the way, and she raps in several songs...most famously in Starships, where she does her now legendary line "My name is Kirstin but you can call me Kirstie!" The others (especially Scott, Mitch and Kevin) rap in several other songs too. This was not a collaboration with Macklemore, just a (re-written in many parts) cover of his song.
Oh my gosh, the looks on your faces when they started rapping - it made my whole week!

Fact: This was a young PTX responding to the news that they had lost their recording contract after 2 years.
Love this song! I love that they took the beat a bit quicker and it looked like they had a blast shooting it! They also did a cover of thrift shop in a single shot in one of their apartments. It’s super old and total fire. They switch things up while still honoring the original! PTX has a crazy talent for making covers unique but not disrespecting the original artist.

Should watch their performances on the Sing-Off, before they blew-up. I'm particularly fond of their rendition of Love Lock Down and Born to be Wilf.
