- Is Meghan Markle a lazy duchess? Regardless of all the resources shared with her by Spotify, Meghan Markle is apparently only interested in interviewing celebrities and reading the Archetypes transcript, which means that producers are doing most of the heavy lifting.
One of her who producers admitted in a TikTok rant that she does all or oversees most of the writing, research, editing, sound mixing and other background stuff for the podcast. It then begged the question, what does Meghan do?
This was amplified by the recent uncovering of one of Meghan's expert guests on the podcast, who seemed to acknowledge that she just spoke with and sang the praises of the producer, and not Meghan.
As time goes on, it appears like Meghan doesn't do much beyond coming into do her breathy and contrived voiceover and chat with the celebrity guests.
Anyone or anything else, doesn't seem to be worth her time.

Grace Kelly managed to stay a star all her life without all this controversy. I don’t think people to this day know of the good works she did for her adopted country and the world. Even years after her death she is still a shining example of womanhood, motherhood, leadership, was a Goodwill ambassador and still her light shines bright. Concepts MM will never get she just doesn’t have that capacity.

I dont think MM willl ever be able to turn around her reputation after how she PUBLICLY treated her in-laws, complained bitterly about her new job as a working role, ghosted her dad for going to the media when she did the same thing herself and 4 years later still playing the victim.

The difference is Grace Kelly was truly a star. MM portrayed a second tier character on a third rate cable show. Grace Kelly came from a wealthy Philadelphia family. MM came from a broken family from LA whose mother was largely absent due to incarceration. Grace Kelly was Sax Fifth Avenue while MM is Walmart.
It was an honor for Monaco to receive such a princess. And it was she who brought the prestige to Monaco. But Meghan? She is not able to understand what honor RF did to her and how much prestige she received (undeserved).

Her podcasts are so boring because they are more about her gripes and not about the celebrities’ life experiences. It is interesting to learn how podcasts are produced. I did not know that the “interviewer’s” contribution can be added after the interviewees’ responses are collected by the team, and then cut and pasted to form the final product, lol! That explains why MM sounds so disconnected from what the guests say. No matter what they say, MM does not pick up on anything but just responds by saying something like, “Oh yeah, me too” and proceeds to talk about herself in the most annoying voice. The fake excitement and vocal noises are so nauseating to hear especially when there are no visual distractions.
Surprised with the celebrities she got and that was it, Mariah Carey and Paris Hilton are no more relatable especially with the present generation. Mariah Carey is great but she doesn't do things to make her relate to public, her talent speaks for itself. Cannot comment on Paris Hilton but if one wants to get into the podcast business it's easy to see there are better and relevant celebrities that cater to today's audience. Seems like she's not all that when it comes to getting celebrities and it's never about what celebrities wanted to share rather it's her again using their name and trying to get into that circle.

This explains a lot! I couldn't figure out why Spotify would want and promote a podcast with Meghan. What could Meghan have brought to the table that was *so* interesting that they went along. I'm used to CZcams and small to midrange channels of content creators who do (most of) the work themselves.

According to Neil Sean, Netflix is putting this docuseries out now because it's boring and lacks content so it needs to go up against repeats that are usually shown in the run up to Christmas. I think it's a case of show it, forget about it and move on hopefully without the Harkles.

She does not want to do any work. This was apparent in her 2 minutes of being a royal. She imo jumped in front of harry all the time not only because she thought every person was there to see her but also to gee up harry who took his time talking to people. On many occasions megan got fed up and would stand to leave or put her claw on him a sign for him to move because she was bored. She wanted servants to do her bidding so she did not have to do anything, probably why she had a surrogate, imo. Even when they went to the states she has failed basically because she is lazy and wants everyone to do the work so long as she gets the accolade. The spotify podcast is and has always been stilted one person talks but there us no interaction jus megan doing her breathy hmm hmmm. Hope there is no season 2.

The only good thing that seems to be unfolding is Harry is keeping a low profile. He had already been showing signs he had enough of the wife's obsession with fame. When the late queen died and he had not visited her, it appears he had the wake up call that he needed to see his wife for the mindless monster she truly is. Was also wondering if MM knows anything about her guests. According to other channels, Jameela Jamil is accused of bullying Caroline Flack who eventually took her own life. Whether or not JJ was a contributing factor to this tragedy, it seems delicate to have her on her podcast, especially given Caroline Flack is said to have dated Prince Harry. What was MM thinking? I would hope that MM is aware but she seems so clueless I am starting to think non A-listers are chosen by her team and that MM is just handed the agenda and cluelessly plays along....

Yes she would, though I reckon that a person in her position with something to say and a decent work ethic would be in the UK serving others as she'd promised - she'd be running the Royal Foundation's UK crisis food programme, raising awareness and money for Africa's growing famine...and regularly reporting REAL activity and REAL needs at the UN, making REAL speeches and working with the world's leaders.
Alas, she had nothing to articulate except complaints and untruthful accounts, and work and personal ethics that were never the foundation for a happy successful life in a public sphere. Thus she hightailed it back to CA where she could blend in with all the other 'My Truthers'.

My only quibble is that you don't learn anything from talking to people, you learn from LISTENING to other people. M is incapable of listening to others. It's on display in her podcast. She only talks about herself, steers the conversation to her experience...
You have assessed the Archetypes podcasts very accurately. The only thing I would add to your comments is that MM is lazy and lacking in any sort of creative talent and not willing to put any work into doing the work she has contracted to do be it the podcasts (or anything else for that matter) to get things done nor to show that she is capable and talented enough to do them. If you look at her track record throughout her life it has always been about paying other people to do things for her so that she would get the recognition. From very early in she depended on PR companies to promote her, her father to get her educated, her previous husband to get her the part in Suits, her new husband to make her famous and the RF to pay for her exorbitant demands until she left. My belief is that both she and Harry never had to do any actual work to become “somebodies” but now they are no longer able to coast on their previous laurels since they were not the ones who deserved them they are floundering. Once their current contracts are delivered I don’t see anybody else racing to sign them up for anything more so life will be more difficult
If you listen carefully to her blathering conversations they are very disjointed, even her discussion with”Madame Trudeau” sounded contrived. Doubt she can get better because in her mind everything she does is wonderful. Oh well, maybe she’ll flame out soon!
In order to get better, she'd have to make an effort and put in the work. Somehow I can't see the most entitled liar on the planet doing that.

What I did not get from the start: how did she get the 28 'producers', who obviously have to be some kind of professionals and even the guests always use the word 'archetypes' when it is clearly stereotypes they are talking about? If I were invited for an interview and then obliged to use wrong words I would be gone.
You make good points. Thank you. This explains why the term she is supposedly highlighting gets buried in the “conversations” she is having. “Audacious” was barely mentioned. The podcast was hard to follow and in fact didn’t make sense.
I like listening to a podcast where the rapport between host and guest feel tangible. MM makes everything dull. Also I don’t want to feel like someone is getting themselves off (if you know what I mean) it’s uncomfortable 😣

I don’t doubt that the producer is doing the actual work. I do believe she writes her own scripts. It’s just too ridiculous and self serving for someone else to have done it. She gets a good script from her producer and scratches everything that isn’t in line with her agenda. And that breathless sex phone voice makes me wonder if she ever worked in that field? It is not appropriate for a professional. And I don’t believe Spotify has actually paid them tens of millions. They deal was probably for a certain amount of podcasts and like her book efforts will die.
I don’t think you have to ask about the sex phone voice…I think she uses that normally…a habit she just can’t seem to break!

Also, there are ways in which you can acknowledge your team. I just saw an interview with director Luca Guadanino, and half the time he name-dropped his team and what they did to help him achieve his vision.
Plus, why not at least give out boni, or throw a party, or other things that show them you appreciate them. You have to be really entitled to take that much work for granted, feeling you deserve all the praise for it.
And when her podcast fails & gets canceled, she will blame the producers. Another way to be a victim.
In the last podcast, I heard she interviewed Jameela Jamil, whom Piers Morgan accused of having a bullying hand in the suicide of Caroline Flack, who is apparently an ex girlfriend of Harry's. So she has a woman on who , according to Piers, appears to have a hand in the suicide of Harry's ex girlfriend. Ouch?!
I wonder if that's deliberate, if that might be a reason for Harry not to be at home in Montecito.... If it's a way to get back at Harry's exes... and with that said, I think that's her main objective with the joke of a podcast: To get back at people who have spoken out negatively about her, to the celebrities themselves for being successfull as they are and pointing out without intending that Meghan is not successful at all, as her only merit is marrying Prince Harry. And to get back her previous staff at the Palace, wanting to show them that she is successful, in her own eyes, despite them> That's a trait many abusers use, they seemingly get away with their abuse and they use that indirectly to control their victims and put fear in them.
In that sense, I think THAT would be a good topic for Meghan's podcast: Abuse in Tinseltown, not the already known sexual abuse by people in power, but the pressure to deliver all the time and how that makes people willing to step over others in order to get there. She would be able to shine a light on that from the perspective of the abuser. I'd be interested in listening to that!

This actually makes so much sense with the producer interviewing the "normies" and MM only paying attention to the big names. I knew this "podcast" felt extremely unauthentic but I couldn't put my finger on it. Granted I haven't listened to anything other than a few clips as I can't stand hearing her drone on! I can't believe she hasn't been called out on this until now. I'm so over MM and H! I normally don't cheer on someone's downfall but in this case I believe it is way beyond deserved!

It’s obvious to me that this producer’s video was meant as a shot to Meghan. She specifically mentioned that she produces Archetypes in her intro. Most people would name previous work rather than name a project currently airing in order to avoid undermining the production. The writer of the The Cut interview similarly undermines her in the article. Meghan’s hoity toity attitude makes her enemies everywhere she goes even among people who are supposed to make her look good
It's obvious that the interviews are pretexted, there are no follow up questions to the answers given. I must admit I only heard the podcast in passing, on youtube channels like this, but that is enough.

With her control issues she had 100% control over what the podcast was how it was done the script and everything else. However, I think Spotify has given her enough time and they're going to take over and tell her what to do how to do it where to do it and not to fork it up
