You'll need some way to sink empty canisters if there are too many in the system. Otherwise a train might be unable to unload all its empty canisters (if destination is full) and then end up with a mix of empty and full canisters in its inventory. Tragedy ensues.
You are 100% right.
Maybe not sink, but we'll need a system to purge the recycle. Or maybe sync. Oh man yea. We'll need a smart splitter system to make sure only what we want goes through.

So I was told, you need buffers before and after trains. For loading and unloading. Cause if you don’t when one train is unloading it stops it from loading everything? Or something?
Correct. The belts shut down when its loading/unloading. I'll put the buffers in on another floor.
@@Kinstruction great video mate, i just made my first satisfactory video last night myself with the world i started. no where near your build yet but getting there lol. maybe add some background music? i was going over mine and i was like its missing something and i thought of that, so i might do some non copy right next time but just a suggestion
I've got background music in there. Non copyright. It kinda fades in and out and is pretty quiet.

@Kinstruction May I ask why you have 4 outbound tracks and not one with some switches? consithering the lack of space you have. Now writing this I I must say I have not watched past this episode.
So I do combine these four tracks down to one. Or at least one incoming and one outgoing, so one set. The top set of rails is reserved for these packaged water trains, packaged water out and empty cannisters in. The bottom set of tracks on my train blueprint is for any other train traffic I might need. Think of the top of the railway as the express lanes for the packaged water/empty cannisters.
