Cheers Todd! Yeah, I was really happy how the burst came out.
Nice job on the dyes Bill. That blended out well for you. Those Angelus dyes are strong and bright. @SpiketheFrugalFixer did a whole series on them. He found the same thing you did. The brown and black are brutally strong and require at least 50% thinning for what we do on wood vs the leather they are intended for. Might want to experiment with those on some scrap to find a happy place for the next build to make it easier for the blending
Thanks for the tip on the dark brown and black. They do tens to over ride everything else if you're not careful.

The steel wool also kind of burnishes the wood surface and starts an almost polish so that once the clear finish is applied it as just a touch of semi gloss to it. Looking good.

What a lot of people don't know about finishing products is, that for them to fully cure it can take up to 2 weeks.
Especially when using any polyurethane, lacquers, Tung Oils, or Danish oils.
Yeah, you just got to take your time and not rush it.

Most people don't want to take their time for anything anymore. In the day and age of instant gratification... everyone wants everything NOW!!!!
