Outer Wilds is another great example. It's a solar system with 6-ish decently sized planets (takes about three to five minutes to traverse the equator of each of them, with plenty of shit to find on each, the whole solar system is maybe 10km across), and some moons with one or two points of interest. Just enough space to feel like space, but not so much you ever feel like you're waiting to arrive somewhere. Every part of the world is designed to help you put together the lore of the game and solve one big puzzle (although there are several smaller puzzles within). You are given NO starting objective. You can gain NO new equipment, upgrades or unlocks, through the entire game. The only reason to explore is to sate your own curiosity about the strange and amazing world of Outer Wilds. The moment where it all clicks, you put all the pieces you've been researching together, you finally figure out what is going on, why time keeps looping every 22 minutes (you're groundhog daying), how you fit into all of this, and what you need to do next, is probably one of the most satisfying and memorable experiences I have ever had, in or outside of gaming. PLAY THIS GAME!

The game really is a beautiful story about how friendships come and go. How even just for an afternoon you can make very valuable relationships that will be with you forever. When I beat the game and the cat turned and walked away it made me remember all the cats I've had and lost over the years and it felt like a weird closure. I may never see Thor or Attila, or Kenu again but they will live forever in my memories.

I think through the gameplay, it tells you that the cat is "evolved" or "genetically enhanced" in some way, but still keeps its instincts as a cat. Because man, the problem solving skills, it's understanding of situations and the gravity of certain situations, not to mention the communication and seemingly being able to read. Like when B12 communicates with it. Or when clementine closed the door behind the cat to save him and how the cat reacted to that. I do think the cat is supposed to be really smart. I just don't know to what extent it's done only for the player and how much is actually the cat.

And not to mention my boy survived not one, but TWO, high fall damage that would otherwise would have shattered bones and walked it off like it was mild inconvenience. Especially the intro fall. Kitty literally survived a fall straight from the surface down to the slums, which is a considerable HUGE space, passing through 3 layers of city. Like. Hot damn. Kitty bones made out of literal steel.
It was such a good game, just a little bit too short. I don't know if Charlie ever noticed but you can meow during every cutscene which adds a little charm. It was still a solid 9/10. Devs were great for not charging $60 with all the love they put into it.

The ending is so good. Just when the cat slow blinks while looking back. Slow blinking is a cat's way of saying "I trust you". And it can be interpreted many ways. I played Stray for 2 days and when the game ended I legit wanted to cry, like that was honestly by far the best game I’ve ever played in my life, it really tested my capabilities and pulled on my heartstrings and for that, I’m super thankful for the creators of Stray🐈
Fr it had nice difficulty, not too much but enough to concentrate, and the storytelling is beautiful, the ending left me teary eyed at both what happens and the final scenes
This is such a cool game, it reminds me of how I got my cat, and I know this story sounds like bullshit but I swear it's true... My dad found our cat on Christmas morning sleeping on a sweater in the laundry room. He thought it was a Christmas present or something so he didn't say anything to my mom, when we all got up hours later he mentions the cat like "well aren't you guys gonna talk about the cat?" we were like... uhhh wtf? He takes us to the laundry room and sure enough there is this beautiful orange cat curled up happy as could be. We finally figured out weeks later that he snuck in through a second story window my brother left open after he came to visit like MONTHS before in the summer. Who knows how long this cat had been walking around our house but he was sooo skinny from being in the woods for so long, We live in middle of nowhere so I have no clue how this little guy found us, I just figure he was tired of the cold and hunting for food so he came on in lol. He's a happy and healthy boi these days.

Outer Wilds is another great example. It's a solar system with 6-ish decently sized planets (takes about three to five minutes to traverse the equator of each of them, with plenty of shit to find on each, the whole solar system is maybe 10km across), and some moons with one or two points of interest. Just enough space to feel like space, but not so much you ever feel like you're waiting to arrive somewhere. Every part of the world is designed to help you put together the lore of the game and solve one big puzzle (although there are several smaller puzzles within). You are given NO starting objective. You can gain NO new equipment, upgrades or unlocks, through the entire game. The only reason to explore is to sate your own curiosity about the strange and amazing world of Outer Wilds. The moment where it all clicks, you put all the pieces you've been researching together, you finally figure out what is going on, why time keeps looping every 22 minutes (you're groundhog daying), how you fit into all of this, and what you need to do next, is probably one of the most satisfying and memorable experiences I have ever had, in or outside of gaming. PLAY THIS GAME!

The game really is a beautiful story about how friendships come and go. How even just for an afternoon you can make very valuable relationships that will be with you forever. When I beat the game and the cat turned and walked away it made me remember all the cats I've had and lost over the years and it felt like a weird closure. I may never see Thor or Attila, or Kenu again but they will live forever in my memories.

I think through the gameplay, it tells you that the cat is "evolved" or "genetically enhanced" in some way, but still keeps its instincts as a cat. Because man, the problem solving skills, it's understanding of situations and the gravity of certain situations, not to mention the communication and seemingly being able to read. Like when B12 communicates with it. Or when clementine closed the door behind the cat to save him and how the cat reacted to that. I do think the cat is supposed to be really smart. I just don't know to what extent it's done only for the player and how much is actually the cat.

Especially the intro fall. Kitty literally survived a fall straight from the surface down to the slums, which is a considerable HUGE space, passing through 3 layers of city. Like. Hot damn. Kitty bones made out of literal steel.
It was such a good game, just a little bit too short. I don't know if Charlie ever noticed but you can meow during every cutscene which adds a little charm. It was still a solid 9/10. Devs were great for not charging $60 with all the love they put into it.

I LOVE the blinking at the end from the cat, in case some of you don’t know (which I’m sure the majority of you do), when a cat blinks at you it’s one of their main ways of they love you and feel comfortable around you💖💖
When they blink slowly yes you could also do the same to cats lol,made a couple stray cats follow me around after i did the slow blink
I just finished it today and after the cat walks away from the stairs after blinking u see the lights on the left flicker meaning hopefully b-12 put himself back into the system

especially when you understand what that cat slow blink means.
My only complaint is we didn’t get to see the cat reunite with his family.
The cat was a robot the whole time. You can tell from how it's eyes flicker at the end. Hence the ending achievement name: Eye Opener
@@SCP-yu1ex cats eyes are like that. When you shine a light at a cat in a darkened environment, or if light reflects in a particular way, cats eyes can look oddly glistening. You are most likely right though given the premise of the game.
I HIGHLY doubt the cat is a robot. The "flashing" is just light reflecting off its retinas, like it would for an actual cat.

B12 doesn't die at the end. He uploads his consciousness to the dome's master control. Since his drone is uninhabited it just falls down. I think this is proven/teased by the monitors turning on at the very end of the game.
When you make a game based solely on wanting to create a original idea and you take the time to create something specials, you get praise from consumers and fans get created. We need more of these. AAA studios now days don't care about what the majority of fans, they just want the minority's money

The ending is so good. Just when the cat slow blinks while looking back. Slow blinking is a cat's way of saying "I trust you". And it can be interpreted many ways. Cat trusting the companions with the future, and what humanitly left. Cat trusting humanity to pull through. Or Cat just trusting that things are going to be alright.

Simply because my cat largely died due to a broken heart (with her old age to boot). She wouldn't eat due to me moving out.

I always love moments where most of the game you are starved of the natural sunlight of the outside and instead have to face and live in a slumy dark place up until you get out. Seeing the sunlight for the first time is like seeing a very much missed friend, Its the most amazing moments in media for me.
Oh man the worst part is the way our cat reacted to B12's shutting down was so realistic. One of my cats passed away a couple of months back and the other reacted the same exact way, trying to get her to wake up and lied alongside it in a way to comfort it. It broke my heart when that scene occurred.

I feel like gamers calling this a half ass game because it's not a state of the art vídeo game with breakthrough mechanics just tells you how much we've forgotten about just having silly fun with a game. This game made me feel more emotional and invested in the world than Elden Ring or Ragnarok.

I played Stray for 2 days and when the game ended I legit wanted to cry, like that was honestly by far the best game I’ve ever played in my life, it really tested my capabilities and pulled on my heartstrings and for that, I’m super thankful for the creators of Stray🐈
Fr it had nice difficulty, not too much but enough to concentrate, and the storytelling is beautiful, the ending left me teary eyed at both what happens and the final scenes

This is such a cool game, it reminds me of how I got my cat, and I know this story sounds like bullshit but I swear it's true... My dad found our cat on Christmas morning sleeping on a sweater in the laundry room. He thought it was a Christmas present or something so he didn't say anything to my mom, when we all got up hours later he mentions the cat like "well aren't you guys gonna talk about the cat?" we were like... uhhh wtf? He takes us to the laundry room and sure enough there is this beautiful orange cat curled up happy as could be. We finally figured out weeks later that he snuck in through a second story window my brother left open after he came to visit like MONTHS before in the summer. Who knows how long this cat had been walking around our house but he was sooo skinny from being in the woods for so long, We live in middle of nowhere so I have no clue how this little guy found us, I just figure he was tired of the cold and hunting for food so he came on in lol. He's a happy and healthy boi these days.
I love the dumb cat things you can do. The piano run, the the interactions with the other cats in the beginning, the bag on the head, etc.
Stray is the most interesting game this year and completely deserves the popularity it gets. Glad everyone is playing it now, even charlie.
