After watching this video is why I now have this drone and I can say after only one flight I'm going to love it. Yesterday when I flew it for the first time there was a light wind in fact my phone app UAV Forecast told me it was not good to fly but what dose it know 😒So up we when first some low level flying to see how it handle and I have to say it did great then I took it up to 140 feet and still it was doing very well so I started to record some video and I was shock as to how steady the video was also the tilting up and down of camera was very smooth. I try the return to home twice and both time even with the wind it landed within 2 feet of it's take off point unlike my other drone where it always landed 7 to 8 feet from it's take off point and that's without no wind. Holy Stone did a great job on this for sure

One VERY important thing that's needed is Return To Home when it is low on power, loses the signal and out of range. If it goes all the way down to one bar and then just lands, that seems like it did not do what it should have. Another video I saw had the thing come back home when it still had 1/2 power = inconsistent and not good.
Need to go back and look, can you change when it comes back? Usually it’s about 25%, I have never had that issue but thanks for the input

Never seen a landing pad that big before. At least you could also use it for having picnics, sun bathing and easy to keep clean. Nice interesting video

This HS720G priced @ $300 makes me choose between this and the Mini SE. I think the Mini SE has a Better range and Camera quality. So I watch as many HS720G reviews before deciding. Thanks James for the reviews.

Thank you for both videos. Very informative. I am thinking about purchasing my first drone and I am strongly considering the 720G. In the first video you show how the app can use VR glasses in FPV mode. Do you have any recommendations on glasses that will work good with this drone? Are the glasses something that you just place your phone into to view video or is it a completely different monitor? Thanks again.
Yes, wouldn’t use VR goggles on a drone like this with out obstacle avoidance
James, thanks for another great review. Speaking of better drones that you can buy for $300, I was going to buy the $299 DJI Mini SE. But first I went to the app store to download the DJI app(s). I wasn't sure if my Android phone was even compatible and didn't like the fact that I had to put my phone in developer mode and make other changes. And after I saw that about 80% of the reviews are one star because of software and firmware problems I decided to give the HS720G a try.
Brian, nothing comes close to the value of the SE, HS is just closing the gap though.
I think they sell the SE about $100 to cheap
I have noth se and mini 2. Luckily the app works on my phone. But I can't get it downloaded on my samsung tablet sadly

Best for the price is the DJI MiniSE, next to that the HS175D for about $150 has GOS and Brushless motors

DJI has 74% of the market for a reason, they just outperform everything else, but the HS is a good option, much sturdier to learn on but the Mini is going to take much better video

The DJI MiniSE is a really good drone. The HS720g really doesn’t compare tonDJI, don’t get me wrong, I like HS’s less expensive drones, nothing comes close but at the $300 range the SE is sold really cheap
Thanks - both videos extremely useful. I have found that the Point of Interest feature usually ends up looking too jerky for my taste - even at maximum radius.

I just bought this yesturday from Amazon $259 with 2 year + tax about $300. This was before I watched this video. I took it out today twice because the Ophelia Fly app would not connect, then found out about Ophelia Go app and it connected right away. I flew it to the movie theatre and it went red, so I hit return home on the transmitter and it brought it back. I kept it closer after that.

I just got this and am a beginner... every flight so far has ended in a crash within 1 minute, if I flew where you were, my drone would 10000% be in that lake
Are you setting the gyro’s on a level surface? Something is amiss, these things pretty much fly themselves in GPS mode.
@@b4ugo I followed the calibration and it was sitting level each time, It seems to do what it wants after a few mins of being up in the air, but I do think it is user error at the moment, since I'm only starting to fly, I'm getting used to flying them

Update = I had to take a 40 question (multiple choice) test for a flyer ID and pay £10 for an operators licence. I can live with that.
@outdoor activities This is going to sound weird but I've had the thing for 6 months and apart for checking everything worked I haven't had the time to fly it yet.
I will test it out again over the next couple of days and let you know how I got on. I had the blades spinning and the camera working so I was happy at the time - I'll get back to you.

no, not his one, only drone I owuld ever trust is the Skydio2 but they are pretty expensive, over $1,000, after that it would be the Dji Mini3, This one will follow if you walk your dog, but remember it dosnt have obsticle avoidance

Not even close, the 720G is better in every way. For a little more check out the MiniSE, but at his price point its the best drone out there.

Nice video i no dji probably is a better drones but if you are using android I heard it doesn't work right the app . So what's the best under 250g drone out there that's not dji ? And work good with android phones like the Samsungs

no, I havent looked, Im sure there are some that can stick on out there, but, the camera automatically adjust the ISO pretty well, if you hold it and and point it from dark to light you will see it adjust as with most newer drones. Even on my expensive drones I never use more than a ND4

Can you compare it to any of dgi drones? In terms of fly stability, video recording ect ?? Or dgi are on different league ? Somehow clips from dgi drones looks much better, sharper, clearer. Is it post recording editing or dgi are simply superior ?
HS drones are great beginner drones but so not compare to DJI drones. Even the DJI MiniSE is a professional drone at $299, there is a reason they have 74% of the market, but, they dont make drones in the $100 range, that is where HS drones are the best even $50, that is where HS is important in the market. If you launch from a high point and fly down into a low area, what happens to the various flight modes, especially RTH? I fly in an area that is like a bowl and I like to stand at the 'top' of the bowl and fly the drone down into the low area.
Good question! But it will know what altitude it took off from. I would still really watch coming back as always

Ya, I saw that to, but remember , this is a Wi-Fi drone, which really is meant to only fly with in Line of Sight anyway, I would never push to past 1,000 meters but 3-400 just to be safe. Thanks for watching
Is the 720G an improvement over the HS600 or is it below the 600? I am seeing comment on the net that the 720G is the flagship.
I have never flown the 600, They dont produce them anymore and the only place to get them is at Wallmart becuase they have the last of the stock. I would lean towards the 720G, thanks for watching. Is the 710 still on sale on Amazon? It was really cheap
10:35 mine doesn't show the map , and If you get disconnected you will not see the meters or anything because the app will freeze which happened to me and I was on line of sight but it returned home
Wife and I are on the road right now. Had more time to fly this at one of the campground we stop at and it still doing great but I'm having problem with Ophelia app which keeps saying there no connect but the controller and the drone do stay connect. I feel there some bugs in this app, hard to get any video when you don't have FPV anymore. Will keep working on it or try another app they say will work.
Try deleting and reinstalling, have you tried another phone, I have never has any troubles with HS in the last year
In the instruction book (bottom of p. 19 in mine) it says the wi-fi does not access the internet. If 'no connection' appears on the screen, that is likely what it is referring to. I got the same message on mine.
how would you track an object , like a car?
It really isn’t that reliable to track a car, Its more for following you walking your dog, remember it dosnt have obstacle ovoidance, thanks for watching

With any drone How is it flying over water? What are the risks? I hear negative things about it and never personally tried it.
Never had problem with water except when it enters it! Here is a gem, if you drone is ever in water, pull the battery before you take it out. Pulling after can spark and ruin the esc if it’s not already. My Flywoo has went swimming twice with nonissues

How long does it take to charge the battery?
A little over an hour, helps to get a 25amp wall charger
The problem I have had with this drone and the HS720E is that both my original did a fly away, now having flown drones since 2018 I think I may have got the hang of it by now, each fly away did the same, after setting things up and then starting within minutes the drone decided to fly to its left so on pressing RH nothing happens, I then try to control the drone myself again nothing so in total I have lost the following 1xHS720E & HS720G being fair to Holy Stone they have replaced all the fly aways I've had, so far play to then. ~In my opinion there is something not quite right withe the drone / controller or both which needs sorting, I'm sure that Holy Stone can't keep replacing these fly aways. All that said I'm still of the option that these drones perform and look good despite the obvious. So for now I'll keep my fait hin Holy Stone.
They do have great service, my opinion is the App is acceptable to outside interference, it’s hard to remember to turn off GPS when your in that situation.
I have had 1 flyaway and it was with a non GPS model and I was testing the limit

If you go past 300-400 meters sometimes, keep it within sit and you will be fine, WiFi drones are not made to fly long distances
