This is actually one the best videos on youtube, as far as the trackpad of mac is concerned. Google should give a rank 1 to this content.
Thank you. Really appreciate the kind words and l'm glad it helped you out.
Outstanding video! Your instructions are wonderfully explained, including the reasons why you prefer certain options over others, your speed of going through the steps is not rushed or too slow, and your voice is very pleasant.

Just bought the new MacBook Pro and this helped a lot thank you!
No problem glad it was useful For you
Any tips for moving items across the screen when you come to the edge of the trackpad, but you need to go a bit further. I sometimes use a second finger. It works sometimes, but can occasionally
trigger one of the swipe or zoom functions.
Yeah that's annoying when it happens. I usually just hit escape and start again from a better position.
Thank you so much. Been using windows all my life. New to the mac world
No problem glad I could help
Thank you!
No worries!
I've had my Macbook for around 3 months and I just learned now there's a thing called Force click thanks to you. Wow! :o

I liked this video very much, thanks a lot. Actually I am using Windows Desktop and will be getting Macbook in a few days, so, I was just understanding how a Mac actually works - features, Desktop, gestures, etc. I would be very thankful if you make more such videos on basics of macOS......
Thanks glad the video was useful. I will probably make more Mac videos down the road. Enjoy the new Mac!
good work, thanks
Thanks appreciate it. Glad the video helped
very good. thank you.
Thanks glad it was useful
Good video. Thanks
Thanks glad it was helpful
Thanks, I think adding a small part for hot corners would have been nice.
Yeah that would have been good for sure!
Thanks - this was an excellent overview. I bought this laptop about a week ago and find it very difficult to drag files from one folder to another - even dragging a file into Apple TV, is an effort. I am using all Trackpad settings as you have them in your video. Is there something I am missing? I used an old MacBookPro (2012)
Glad you liked it. Try turning off the force click options and it should help. I started running into issues too and unfortunately had to turn off the force click. Let me know if it helps.
Cool stuff. Thanks pal.
No worries glad to help
This is amazing I got helpful! Thank you!
No problem
TrackPad can set with three finger drag in Accessibility/Pointer Control. That's big deal when you drag a lot.
Thank you for this!
No worries happy to have helped!
You can also preform a secondary click by using control and click at the same time.
Good tip!
Very helpful, thanks a lot ❤
No problem glad to help!
BEST TUTORIAL THANK YOU:)

Hi.. can u show how to do drafting for Fashion designers in mackbook
Pro 13 PLS ? THANK YOU..
I'm not familiar with drafting, what is it?
Thank you bro. I'm new to Mac and getting used to it. Your video was very helpful. Good job. Keep it up
Thanks glad it helped
oh thank you so much!
No problem
Great video! I am a mac user but recently got the macbook pro 13 and can't figure out how to drag a file in Finder to another folder. Help please
If you can’t drag normally it’s probably the force click getting in the way. Try turning it off and then drag. I had to turn mine off
thank you so much!! helped me out a lot getting used to my new macbook pro lol!!
No problem really glad the video helped
hey does the force click one finger only work with mbp ?
omg so helpful thanks a lot
So glad to help!
Very informative thank you so much!
Thanks! Glad it was helpful!
Helpful thank you...
Thanks glad to help!
Nice explanation.
Thanks
Your little gizmo kept staring at me :)
Lol
Great video. However, I did not see anything about highlighting text. My old Macbook Pro would allow me to double tap and highlight what i want without holding the trackpad down. On my current Macbook Air, it does not seem to have this option. It will highlight one word with two finger click, and a paragraph with a three finger click. Anyone have info regarding this, I'd love to know!
Same problefor me, have you found an solution yet?
Thank You ! super helpful
No worries
I was hoping you would show how to highlight text and how to move a document from one place to another. Also, using the track pad, how do you move a window from one place to another or resize a window or a text box? Thanks.
Resize is just click and drag the Window from a corner. Moving documents is click and drag the document where you want and then release. Highlighting text is also click and drag over the text then release when you want to stop.
Btw Dan will u be doing accessories for Macs? I will like to know what you think that’s useful since all new Macs now have discarded most ports. Thank you
I might have to, seems like I need a lot with it not having many ports.
great video for new user 👍🏻
Thanks glad it was useful for you
Hello, any tips what could be the reason why my trackpad highlights everything when scrolling up and down
The force click could be the issue, I would try turning it off.
Good video
Thanks!
great video
Thanks!
Helpfully
Glad to help!
I have always used Windows computers butt now .bought a macbook pro this has help me alot thank u!
So glad I could help!
Just received my very first Apple product in my life and this has helped tremendously. Thank you
So glad I could help! I have so many more Apple product videos and MacBook videos on my channel if you are looking to learn more.
Hi! Great video, thank you! Is it normal if, sometimes, my trackpad is like... holding my click? I'm trying to make footages on FinalCutPro, and it's really different if we compare to my 2013's one.
Thanks, I haven’t had that issue. I don’t think it’s normal
How to change the size of window through trackpad...?
At 68 I was reluctant to use a trackpad but after your instructions I can fly. Thank you,
I’m so glad my video was able to help!!!
I just got my MacBook Air m1 today and your video helped me lot thanks🙃✋🏻
Awesome so glad it helped!
Thank you o much since i had a very conflict in my mind to not to buy a mac since you have to press instead of tap and now I learned that its optional! Thank you again!
No problem glad I could help!
how about hide tap overview ?
Thank
Glad you found it useful!
Excellent. Excellent.
Question: How do I move a window around using track pad?
Click on the top bar and drag it.
Hey I need a quick opinion
So I’m a new Mac OS user and when I’m switching between apps using the 3 finger swipe method the screen sort of stutters like it’s not a smooth transition.
Does anyone know the reason for this and how I can solve this .
Seems like a software glitch. If try the basic restart the computer.
I am New On Mac OS.. Thanks It Really Helped Me
Glad to help
Hey one question so is there any prefrence where you can turn on a setting where you can tap to hold
I'm not sure what you mean by tap to hold? Can you give me an example?
How to change from one application to other like from crome to youtube
when I force click it doesn't open the preview but opens the actual page why?
i got a new macbook air 2020, and whenever my laptop sleeps when I open the lid it does not turn on, i have to press the button where the touch ID is. how do i make my laptop turn on just by opening lid or moving my trackpad or clicking the space bar?? pls help!! ty!!
Mine is the same way. There may be an option under the sleep settings.
omg thank you so much i couldn't figure out how to right click
Glad to help!
yeah me 2 hahaha
I am a beginner. I really like it.
Glad it is useful
i can not get the finger scroll to turn on? 2017 Macbook Pro any ideas? Thanks Mark
Try rebooting the computer sounds like a glitch
When I using trackpad and mouse move to logo of apple it’s become a lock my screen.. it’s ok or I have to solv it
I’m not sure what you mean?
Nicely done. I will be back.
Glad you liked it!
Hi there. I'm having a problem with my mac book. The track pad stoped work. Do u know anything that I could do it ?
Try restarting it
how do you select more than one picture when transferring images from your cell phone to your macbook on the trackpad? so frustrating I was able to get it once by accident.
You can select them all or you can use the command button and click on each.
can you use the trackpad pressure sensitivity for photoshop?
Not that I know of.
When dragging files/folders to another HD why do the files open and not drag?
Have to turn off the force click feature it gets in the way.
