Why rbcs do not have nucleus
Because at the end of their development, they reject it, and then eventually become a mature RBC. Without a nucleus, the RBC takes a flatter type shape which allows for more surface area. This increased surface area allows for more oxygen to bind to the RBC. The downside is they only live about 120 days and need to be continuously replenished.
