What are we missing from our road trip kit? vinwiki.com/r/roadtripkit
Emergency cash, in the form of cash.
Chainsaw
Nightvision goggles
Mini air compressor. The tire repair kit won't do much good if you can't fill the tire back up.
I give him 1 million pesos for the collection 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Always lead with the bad history Lambo!
Well you're kinda the official lambo launderer, turning sketchy cars no one want into desirable ones
Ed Bolian special 😂
May I suggest ed quality lambo's be called lambolians?
Every Lambo has a bad history. 😂
@@kingjellybean9795lambolians is a great term!
The second Doug said he'd never touch the Lambo, Ed came to mind.
Same, when he started describing it I thought "Just say Ed's dream car, that would be faster"
They should refer to them as a bolian special
Doug's stories are (by far) my favorites on VinWiki.
Some of his stories about dealing with rich people I can sympathize with. Been there.
Him and rabbit have the best stories by far
Rich people are.....well.....yeah.....I KNOW that pain.
Rabbit and this guy have great stories. Rabbit seems more approachable
Yeah these first two stories really brought some reality to the high end / luxury car broker business. Not all rich people have earned their wealth.
He just sounds like such an insufferable dick though. Like I sometimes don’t know who the asshole is in his stories because he’s so unsympathetic and dickish. Nobody has that many bad experiences with people unless they’re at least part of the problem.
Doug's patience is unbelievable. I don't know if i could deal with clients like that for a living.
Seller is amicable and friendly, proceeds to tell how seller is not being amicable and friendly.
Friendly does not always equate to fair when money becomes involved.
Kinda like the whole “even perfect tactical battle plans only go to plan until the first shot is fired…”, eh Doug? You’re much more capable of dealing with this kind of f***ery than I ever could be; I struggle to deal with even 10% of the duplicity you see probably every week if not every day!
We just heard his side of the story, can never know what the truth is
@samsonian what sort of idiot are you, no money no honey.. open your ears!!!
Congratulations on handling the Chuck Stoddard estate sale, Doug. He is an absolute legend in the Porsche community.
Wow, kinda silly selling million dollar exotics has almost the same exact problems as $8000 crap-boxes. Insane sellers, goofy listings, deals falling apart for almost no reason, "I have wheels/parts" that are for no reason not included with the sale of the specific car you're buying. My goodness.
Honestly sounds like this owner is a dick and headache to deal with. Usually most deals go smooth
If Doug ever makes an audio book of his car adventures I could listen to it from end to end on repeat. Such a good story teller!
Sounds as if Doug should have told said “seller” to fuck straight off…
Basically lol dude needed to be slapped at some point in his life.
With the economy uncertain, not buying a car right now makes sense for a few reasons.
Firstly, cars are costly, and in uncertain times, it's crucial to save money and keep your finances stable. Using public transport or rideshares can save you money.
Secondly, technology and car-sharing options offer convenient transport without the expenses of owning a car, like maintenance and insurance.
Moreover, fewer cars mean lower emissions, contributing to a greener planet. Choosing eco-friendly options supports global efforts to fight climate change.
Lastly, waiting lets you assess your finances when things stabilize. You can focus on saving, investing, or other essential needs like education or debts.
Being patient and evaluating your needs can lead to a wise and financially responsible decision about getting a car.
My financial advisor advises buying cars when interest rates and prices are low. However, he also cautions against it right now due to the hidden costs of car ownership, like insurance and maintenance. He helps me plan for these expenses and manages my portfolio to ensure financial stability. It's all about making strategic decisions and having a well-rounded financial plan.
Thank you for the valuable insights. I appreciate your detailed explanation, which helps me understand the reasoning behind the decision. It's clear that being mindful of financial stability, exploring alternative transportation options, and considering the environmental impact are crucial factors in making a well-informed choice about purchasing a car. Your perspective, coupled with the guidance of a knowledgeable financial advisor, would undoubtedly ensure a well-thought-out and financially responsible decision. Your approach highlights the importance of expert advice in navigating these financial considerations thoughtfully.
Your financial journey is truly inspiring, and I'm currently striving to achieve the goals you've reached. Could you please share some tips to help others learn and navigate their own paths to financial success? Your insights would be invaluable.
Samuel Peter Descovich that's whom I work with
I believe everyone could benefit from having a personal financial advisor. They can assist you in reaching your customized financial objectives at any point, ensuring you remain profitable.
The customer isn’t always right.
That is one of those goofy clitches that makes minimal actual sense. It indicates a sense of entitlement.
I prefer buyers are liars.
The customer is always right in matters of taste. That's the whole saying
There are a few og story tellers here. He's certainly one of 'em.
Loved it.
Dealing with entitled people is a nightmare
Second story brings back memories. I saw part of that collection as a little kid. The F50 was the first super car I ever saw. Along with that it was the first Ferrari I ever sat in and heard. It made the F50 my dream car. Great video as usual!
Whenever its an Ed, Doug, Rob Pitts, Christopher Michaels, John Ficarra, curated story you know it’s gonna be good
This story sucked ass and they didn’t even talk about the Saleen S7‘s in the thumbnail
Marshall Goldman was the only guy I delivered cars to that paid me immediately so I could get back on the road. Good to be out of the car business..
More Doug. More Doug is always the answer
Preach
I tell my wife that often
At least he’s not salty about any of this.
It's all business. I'm sure he's seen worse.
Stories like this demonstrate how valuable communicating via text can be. When one party says, "I never said that" or any variation, it can easily be disproved or verified very quickly.
"Should" demonstrate. Doesn't matter with people like this, they still won't own up to it. Been there.
Ed quality lamborghini's should be called "lambolians"
As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I knew what collection Doug was going to hopefully speak of! It is only a couple miles from were I work at, and I was lucky enough to get a tour of it a few years ago because a customer of ours was storing his Huracan over winter in the one building! We weren't sure if we were allowed to photograph in the building with lifts, but the building with the S7's, tomahawk, and Ferrari halo cars I was able to snag some photos! Definitely a very cool experience!
I've been lucky enough to see it too!
It sounds like the first guy is someone I wouldn't want to do business with. He is dishonest, indecisive, and a complete hot head as soon as something doesn't go the way he thought it should. Definitely not the type of person it is worth the hassle to do business with.
Doug is one of my favorites
Stories from Doug demuro would be awesome!!! You should have him on your channel!
Doug the type of guy who would talk about anything, as long as he can give it a Doug Score.
Agreed. When it said "Doug", I thought it was Doug Demuro. Thanks.
Nothing is worse than being so close to massive deals like that, and they fall apart.
I know someone who owns a Saleen S7, that has exterior damage from a bear…. Yes, a freaking bear thrashed some panels and glass!
He’s retired, and bought it many years ago as a retirement gift. He ended up bailing out family through some hard times, and being taken advantage of others along the way and is no longer in a comfortable retirement position.
I expressed interest in the car, and he was going to sell it to me. He ended up not wanting to sell.
It sits in a car port, in the mountains off a gravel road… He will never be able to afford to repair it, doesn’t speak to his kids anymore. Really curious where that car will end up when he’s gone.
He sounds pretty irrational and out of touch with the reality of his situation.
Keep on with it. Befriend him more. Build trust and lightly bring it up now and again expressing that you would love to get it back to its former glory.
😂when he was describing the murcielago i said that’s an Ed Bolean car before he did!!!
Great job. Love what & how you’re doing things.
This will be a good listen. Thank you VINwiki
Doug is back! Been bingewatching his stories for last few days
I sleep to these videos in the background sometimes lol
Your stories are always interesting, thanks for sharing.
There was a black on black 6-speed Murci on Pawn Stars that the guy said he got from an IRS auction. I wonder if it was the same car.
I wish they would start a podcast or something cause I think a lot of us would like a deeper dive into how these dudes started and where they came from. I like the videos but these could be much deeper and longer. Damnit I want details as to how someone goes from average Joe blow to hot head salesman working in high end cars. It’s not like most people can call up a local exotic dealership or shop and just get a job. Probably more than half of the people that are on vinwikis channel are entrepreneurs or “self made” so why not have a deeper dive into their stories. Car story’s are nice but I wanna know less about the car and more about the people and where they came from and what they did. It’s both inspirational and motivational
This is the dream. Tell a rich guy who's used to getting his own way to "fuck off".
Great stories as always
Really liked the success story looked like a great collection
Much more satisfying to hear about the smooth sale of a bunch of very interesting cars.... that's a great story by itself
This channel never ever gets boring. Thank you for letting the common man know there is a way for us to save and own a dream car. Gr8 show ✌️.
I’ve been to the warehouse in PA. I was there in November 2019 and all the bikes were sold but all the cars were still there.
I live in the area and in the local car community the warehouse is like a folklore legend. So much secrecy
"Ponzi-scheme, government-seizure, WTF-odometer, bad-repaint, salvage-title Lambo? I know just the guy!"
I feel you on every portion on the negotiation/ broker deal !
Always good to hear from Doug!
Doug the type of guy that.....
Wait wrong Doug video
As a previous car dealer myself, this is shitty side of what we go through, and we all do...
You’ll be glad to know that Lambo now looks immaculate in person. Lol
Youngstown resident who’s familiar with the car
Also I forgot to add; Chris is a hell of a stand up guy. He’s very down to earth and it’s no wonder he’s close with Ed. Hope to see him and Ed in the spring when all the cars shows down route 224 happen again!
You left out 2 - 3 cans of fix a flat and a portable air compressor. Most sports cars do not have jacks and being able to fill the hole and get the tire up to proper pressure would be great.
Those minis on BAT were presented beautifully!
Thank you. We worked hard, our team did great, and we were very happy with the overall outcome
The "BMW 600" referenced and shown is a BMW Isetta 300(or 250). IsettasRus is based in Georgia, would love to see the owner on here sharing some of his stories.
"Uh that's what i said-uh" - Steve Urkel
Yes, There was also an Isetta 300 in the collection
As he was speaking he was showing a more normal looking, but little known outside Europe , BMW 700 coupe. A really significant car from BMW that saved them from going under.
To quite Wikipedia on the 700 -
The BMW 700 is a small rear-engined car which was produced by BMW in various models from August 1959 to November 1965. It was the first BMW automobile with a monocoque structure. The 700 was a sales success at a time when BMW was close to financial ruin.[5] The 700 was also successful in its class in motorsport, both in its stock form and as the basis of a racing special called the 700RS.
Not like the bubble cars using BMW motors but made in other companies factories to outside designs
The 700 was all BMW. Numerous vids and period ads on CZcams for them and the Luxus version
I see Saleen S7 i click
i am simple man
You can drive it...UPSIDE DOWN! That is just insane downforce!
What model Fiat/Abart that is at 12:23?
It fun to see a car you have been in used as a thumbnail 😊😊😊😊
“Terrible Ed Bolian Quality Lamborghini” That should be its own CZcams channel
9:34 A shrink-wrapped ZR1. That's just wrong in so many ways. Drive the damn thing!
To understand this you have to understand why every grocery bag/box/cup on TV is actually empty.
People who play pretend can easily get hurt.
Does anyone know what “still on MSO” and “TMU” means?
MSO - essentially never titled. Still on manufacturer certificate of origin
TMU - total mileage unknown
💥💥Wow……Honda NR750 💥💥
Truly amazing
🙏❤️ Love from Scotland ❤️🙏
I'm juast amazed at how people like the first story get their money. How did he aquire such a collection being a massive douche? Wow!
It must be hard to be an honest dealer of cars in a mostly dicey game …👍👍
The easy way is buy what you can afford and don’t deal for other people .
If Doug turned up and said I’ll pay x for this and y for that and left a list with his offers and a smile and sit back hoping to negotiate I bet he’d get further along.
One you start dealing with other people and moving cars payments and waiting it becomes a problem.
Say you agree to buy a bunch of cars I’d offer a deposit to show good intent …no messing
Miserable rich people treating other people like shit, what a surprise.
I don't know man, I went to a garage sale in a wealthy neighborhood and got a dude all upset when I wanted to negotiate a piece of art. Maybe WE are the problem. lol
What life is all about. The Stories!
Doug is the hero of every story.
Integrity and word of mouth wins! Good job.
Lol being in the car business I too have dealt with the same thing. Some people...
I thought Doug DeMuro was gonna show up going: "THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS IS MY NEW LAMBO"
Hey Ed!! 🎉🎈
Who else thought "Doug" was Doug Demuro?
The ole bait and switch.
Exotics Packards and Dusenbergs, sounds like Jay Leno
That Saleen garage looks insane
After hearing Doug’s side of the story I think I would trust the seller to give more accurate details of how things actually played out.
You know Man was serious when he had a Corvette building!
I’ve had customers like that before. Gotta just get through the open job with a smile, get your money, and get out as fast as possible. These people have lawyers on retainers.
Don't Lowball me, I know what i have LOL !
I can't give you the whole amount but yo I got this IGUANA...
Some people just need to hear: "regardless of the amount - your money isn't green enough..."
A lot of people with money have lost touch with being a decent person.
Glad those on VinWiki understand money isn’t the goal, just the path.
This is the type of guy that you say, it’s not. You, it’s me. This isn’t working out😂
Where can I get that t-shirt?
DOUG T. is one of a kind!
.
the whole situation sounds like a huge pain in the ass... i woulda been out asap
Man I miss listening to Doug’s stories!
"I suck at my job!!! LOL!" Don't we all. brother.
I'm very gratified to see ethical behavior well rewarded.
Nice Work. The first guy was a real peach. Maybe someone
will tell him to watch the vid.
Preeeety sure I've met the dude with the Merci here in Youngstown 😂
Crazy you're right here in NE Ohio....I'm right next to Youngstown lol.
His shop is in Twinsburg. Almost dealt with him once, unfortunately the car I wanted sold a few days prior. Seems like an Angel compared to most car salesmen.
@@rightwingsafetysquad9872 Yeah I saw that when I looked it up lol.
Sounds to me like the seller was running a Ponzi Scheme of his own......
Great story
Keep the Doug videos coming. Him Rob Ferretti, Rabbit and Christopher Michaels are carrying your channel
Sad to say but it sounds like this guy was going through the beginning stages of dementia, sounds exactly like my grandpa when he was getting dementia and no one knew it he started selling his classic car and Harley collection. Let’s just say the cops had to get involved because he physically assaulted someone that had come to look at his 66 t bird. It’s sad he went fast after that a year later he was gone gone, he didn’t even know who I was tried to punch me
"here in Ohio" 05:36 . Is the Vinwiki backdrop now greenscreen?
13:47 "an Aye-bath"
I though this was gonna be a DeMuro story, but alas it’s Dougie Da Butt
Whatever happened to Scott Tuckers cars? Is there anything on this channel about them?
Corvettes!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
11:36 alpina e12 spotted
First🎉 always a good day for a Doug story.
Those cars are IMMACULATE
Call Ed he would love this 🤣🤣🤣
Doug is wildly entertaining and should replace Freddie the junk collector Tavarish on CarTrek
Nice to see a Mini " pick up "...
idk why but i thought this video was gonna be about doug demuros car collection and if he could retire from selling his collection
I dont agree with his view, carhas been sent on truck, dealer(doug)isnt bothered to try wiring the money. You can't trust relatives how do you expect to justdropoffcar without payment. Only sly part was wheels not included part.
What dose MSO stand for? I always thought it was McLaren specialists operations?
manufacturers statement of origin. it’s what a brand new vehicle has before it gets titled
Doug adds the most useful detail to his car stories and leaves out the filler.. I.E He doesn't talk just to hear himself talk.. Don't worry Ed, you're a close 2nd.. Lol
Wow dude, you're a saint. 5 minutes into the video and I would've told the seller to fuck off.
