"Contact on the exiting right L4 nerve root in the foramen." Can this be causing leg weakness on both sides? Thanks.

I am in the same situation. It has not improved in a year after seeing the doctor. Hands and feet become useless, there is nausea in the stomach, sometimes it seems that I am immobilized, please help.

Hello, I don't understand why you even mention the Lassègue's test, why not using the Léri's/inverse Lassègue test?

I have a pinched disc that compressed L4 and caused inflammation and stiffness for 5 days. Following these 5 days the pain disappeared with stretching but a major weakness appeared: foot drop similar to this cast. My strength in dorsi-flexion is 1/5 (10 days since the injury). With physio can I get back to a level to 4/5 or 5/5? if so, how long? I am an athlete. If you ever had positive rehab with patient please share :). Thanks!

This is a classic presentation of nerve root compression. Keep retesting your strength. If not improving, seek medical attention. Can take a long time to get stronger.

MRI didn't show it, but thats my symptoms. 10% quad strength, poor leg raise strength, numb over shin muscle and inside ankle. Additionally a bit of sciatic pain in but and a little hamstring. Sucks to identify it, but cant see it so no fix.

Weakness is the bigger concern. Keep getting it checked. Best of luck!
