how about getting away from boardman feeder(to avoid robbing) and putting jars with new purple lids on top of inner cover on top of hole??
I think that would work great. If I use boardman feeders I typically run reducers on the smallest hole or I reduce the entrance using drywall corner bead so only one or two bees can get through.
