Sorry for the slow updates. I will give you a list of explanations, but when I was an executive in high tech, I used to tell folks that explanations are often excuses in a tuxdeo. So here are the well dressed explanations.
As most of you know, we have a Mustang under conversion that was first line and most of our limited resources have been working on it. Good news is that a lot of what we are doing will also benefit the Lincoln. For example, we have designed and fabricated a custom bell housing to connect the electric motors to the power glide tranny and that will be exactly the same for the Lincoln. We have had to get custom couplers made for both cars to connect the output splines of the motors to the power glide. Those are finally complete and fit perfect.
We have had a series of breakages with our vintage CNC machine and you can imagine finding parts for 96' is not easy or fast.
We have seriously underestimated the number of hours to machine a liquid cooled battery like ours. It is looking like over 1,000 hours per car.
Two of my key partners/builders also have day jobs which have recently demanded more time from them which means less evening and weekend time for Blood Shed.
I have thought a lot about bringing in some private investment money (4750K-$1M) to upgrade the equipment (a new VF4 or 5 HASS would cut the battery time in half) and hiring some full time guys and explore building our own motors and perhaps offering kits, but I don't have the anyone in my Rolodex that fits the bill.
Anyway, enough crying for now, please stay tuned for the next update, there will be one sooner or later.

I love the videos. You do a great job explaining and also keeping the filming in short clips so we're not watching paint dry. Please keep the videos coming. I'm particular interested in this Lincoln project as I have a 66 convertible.

Hoping this documentation could provide useful info for anyone doing electric land yachts, which I think will increase in popularity over the next few years

Great work Mitch! Just wanted to say thank you for all your dedication and making your great ideas a reality for the world to see. You and John Wayland have been a direct inspiration to Build my Electric Nova. I just picked up a 13inch DC monster motor and am starting my conversion here in Seattle Washington. I’ll watch your videos for more ideas and would like see your projects in person someday!

Nice work on the covers! As my dear old Dad would say in a similar situation, "We gotta help her get her dancin' dress on "

Hi there. Any update on this project? Is there a part 6? Or at least a quick final result overview? Looks amazing! Keep up the good work!

With the size of the trunk and engine bay, you can fit a 100KWh battery.

    Howdy...
Give us fans a general update, basically a "Hello", on either the Lincoln, or just how things are going in general.

Will it have a hidden firewall? I have premature questions about weight distribution depending on where thee batteries will be as well as power brake and steering.

Enjoying your videos, dig the music in your shop and especially like this Lincoln. I'm 58 and working on my second project, a 66 Mustang fastback. After considering the many powertrain options, I'm leaning toward electric. I live in Hawaii so 100 mile or so range is enough. Highway speeds of 65-70 are sufficient. Can you point out some resources to get started?

Start with EV West. We get a lot of parts from them and they also do conversions so they know a lot. I would also join EV conversion forums. Great sources of information and advice. Just google EV Conversion and go from there.

When are you gonna give one of these to matt farah. I think it would be very interesting to hear his take on the zombie 222 and worst case scenario millions of people would hear about the shop.
