I think you’re doing a great job with your videos. I really like a variety of different content. I enjoy a good hunt video every now and again I also enjoy reviews, but I really think that if you can interview store owners to understand the three tier process. Having master distillers talk about how they produce their craft would be fascinating as well. Keep up the good work.

I had a friend with a 400 bottle collection give me a lineup of some buffalo trace products. 1-5 for me was Weller 12, Pappy 10, Weller 107, EHT SB, and ETL last. If you’ve had regular BT, ETL is pretty much the same taste.
DUDE!!! That’s a great bourbon buddy to have. I would agree that most BT has a similar taste profile but there are some anomalies every now and then that are just out of this world. It’s interesting you liked weller 12 over 107. What was the deciding factor?
@@The_Unbottled I enjoy a sweet oak note. I got more of that on the weller 12 than the 107.
I agree the oak comes through more with the 12 year. Great line up either way 🥃

@The_Unbottled absolutely, it seems very few and far between on finding spirits news, everyone is reviewing all the same bottles and YT is flooded with those.

@The_Unbottled that would be pretty cool, like I always check for reviews before I buy a new bottle but some of the lesser known brands it's hard to find a review of those. Mainstream brands will have followers who will review those and they kind of all start to sound the same.

Our stores here just keep the good stuff behind the counter for a huge markup.
There are stores like that here too but luckily they have a variety of allocation formats to choose from.
Greetings, First I'm in Chattanooga as well, BUT I never get notifications about drops!!! What am I doing wrong? LOL, I'm new to the Whisky/Bourbon Hunt so any guidance is welcome. Last the was a great video. Keep them rolling.
Welcome to the community. I follow multiple stores’ social media page and also got to know a lot of the managers at some of the stores. Forming relationships is honestly the best way to get in the loop for local drops.

Eagle rare $38 in Oregon and can find them daily. The single barrel old forest can find it daily as well for $40 and the Elmer t lee for $35
Man those prices are WILD! I would rack up if I could find those bottles for those prices!

It's not like those bottles are sitting on the shelf in Oregon. ER is fairly easy but most allocated stuff goes to bar and restaurant accounts. You need to establish relationships or win the OLCC lottery to get the super rare stuff. Everything is sold at MSRP when you can get it. That part is awesome but competing with the flippers sucks. I think they should make you crack the seal on every rare bottle before you leave the store. 😊 Flippers are the ticket scalpers of bourbon!

@@The_UnbottledI tend to get everything I have at retail or pretty close to it. Including my stags, Taylor's , OFSB, Blanton's SFTB, etc. I'm cheap lol

Some non allocated reviews in the $50-$60 range. Not everyone want drop $100 plus on stuff

This video was shot in December. Instagram & Facebook are the main methods of social media I use.

That’s unfortunate. I’ve been to Milwaukee once and didn’t really see much as far store picks or allocations
