- Today we visited the Heavenly Pit, the largest sinkhole in the world, in Fengjie County, Chongqing. An epic hike with good friends that brought back a lot of adventure memories.

My wife and I are in New Zealand at present.
No flights to China out of NZ at present, we are in level 2 lock-down.

When COVID-9 was brought to NZ by some coming back to NZ from america, our Government set up a plan, to combat COVID-19 involving 4 Levels of action. Level 4 involved a total lock down and only essential services were aloud to operate such as Emergency and Supermarkets supplying food. We eventually went down to Level one, and then another outbreak of COVID-19 occurred in Auckland City so Auckland returned back to Level 3 and the rest of NZ to Level 2. Auckland has just gone to Level 2.5, but I see there are still 5 or 6 cases a day, involving community transmission are still occurring. This involves 4 or 5 different clusters, being manged in quarantine by government.
There is a Chinese four -character idiom is”井底之蛙” for this story, and Matt you explained this idiom very clear ！
井底之蛙是贬义词，不能这么用！😅

The scenes are like being taken back to a prehistoric era. So beautiful and so unique. Can't say i've ever seen something like this. Amazing footage Matt. I want more sceneries like this. Beautiful video. If you enjoyed that cave you need to explore Tenglong cave near Lichuan, Hubei. Miles of caves and they even built a roadway inside for shuttles. Live performances inside at a theater with seating for 1000 or so. They can fit a hot air balloon in the entrance it's so big. China is awesome.

Glad that you did not sink into this one, Matt. This Sink Hole is bigger than the man made hole in Kimberly , South Africa. The Kimberly Hole was dug by Prospectors during the Diamond Rush, late 1800's to early 1900's.

If it wasn't for the pandemic, he would be on his around the world trike trip.

My parents had a red room in a closet. I loved helping the film develop, I was like around Eva's age. I've also been collect some older tech, got a type-writer named Arnold, so old it doesn't even the whiteout strips to delete. I still have my VCR and a couple black and white vintage horor films. I also have a cassette player and some awesome cassettes.

You guys came down to the bottom of the pit through the stairs. For the animals that are born in the pit and live their lives down there, that's exactly how they see their world, how big their world is as it's quite a huge place to roam down there. We human are no different in our Earth. We look at the sky and think like the animals that we know how big our world is but in actual fact, we are no different than those animals though we can fly to the Moon, Mars etc. but we are still confine within our limits. There are other Galaxies, Black Holes, poisonous gas out there which we didn't know before. Same for the animals down there, they don't know outside the pit, there earthquakes, floods, forest fires etc.
