Would like to say that as of a few days ago I’m now 1 year gambling free! It goes to show that if you want to beat this horrible addiction you can and will. Make sure you have good people around you, use the tools available and keep your life busy with new hobbies and friends. I’ve found having these things has helped me to conquer my demons.
Sending my best wishes to you all.

    I can fully relate.
I gambled my business away and lost everything I have ever worked for. I lost over £1 million pounds in total over the last 10 years and its a complete disgrace, with me being a further £100K in debt now and having nothing left to generate any income anymore.
Gambling ripped my life apart. It made me lie to everyone, all the time. It affected my friends, my family, my partner, and took away everything I ever owned. Now nearly aged 40.
This video is an absolute truth bomb. Fuck casinos! Kick them forever!

I think there’s a small part of a gambler’s mindset that gets a buzz from losing as well as the high from winning. It seems like they feel they deserve to feel bad and tortured because of the guilt from gambling all their money away. The feeling of winning only lasts temporarily but they can’t savour the moment. It’s a very dangerous addiction to have and the ending was really sad but so real for too many people 😢

Coming from a family of addiction, this video and countless of others need more broadcast time than any of the ads that play non stop on TV. I am a lucky one to see it. If anyone needs help, look yourself in the mirror each day and smile. It may be hard, but a smile goes a long dang way. Heads high, sun will always shine. Amazing work, truly amazing

I have experienced Gambling Addiction and lived it for the last 20 years it will take so much money of you and make you feel extremely depressed my advice is if you do lose don’t go back and chase your loses your then using Good money to chase bad money
It will create a vicious cycle where you are constantly chasing loses and then it gets to a stage where you have lost so much that it really doesn’t matter anymore and that is where it will take you my advice is if you have a bad session and lose badly just walk away don’t go back
And accept that the moneys gone its only going to get worse the further you go ahead.

Gambling addiction is brutal. Emotionally and financially by far the worst addiction. There are no limits. I ended up choosing heroin addiction as a means to try stop the gambling and manage the emotional pain of the fall out. There was a physical price to pay if I gambled. It is such a deep rooted addiction, your money represents a lot of your opportunities in this World, it hurts to know you’ve thrown it away. The longer you go the harder it gets. It also hurts everyone that cares for you.

Gambled on all and everything for years. Stopped and started over and over again. The worst is when you're single with only yourself to look after. The best advice is get help, face your demons and live a better life. Restrict your urges by handing over control to someone else until you recognise the demon and slay it with honour, truth and courage. It's a long life, full of different lifetimes. Believe me I have lived multiple different versions until this one. All the best to you and your fight. A massive congratulations to everyone involved with this short film, well done.

@@thomasmcglone754 It's a lonely existence, I've found, I remember all of those fake friends at the casino. Who never want to do anything that doesn't involve gambling. I've met women, attractive ones, you take them to dinner. Shortly fterward, "lets stop by the MGM," or whatever the biggest venue happens to be in your town. It's a medication, a way of distracting yourself from reality, the reality you aren't willing to face. I've known well off women, nice houses in gated communities, gamblers of course, always single in their 40s and 50s. The fridge has only the minimum, the basics. Isn't that a truism. Big house not too much furniture. Last house of course was the one repossessed, or the one the game was up at. Lost to the lawyers, who like the Don Henley song, sorted out all the details. Where's your furniture? You guessed the response, "oh it's in storage at the moment. I haven't had time to retrieve it." Meaning she's behind on the payments. The doorbell that doesn't work mysteriously. "Oh Helena had the Sheriff after her for her Mercedes, she was a few months behind with the leasing company, she disconnected it." She's gone now, of course. "She lost 200K, and the loan sharks were after her." She'd gambled her company payroll over a few days, lost it all and the police had taken an interest. This is advanced gambling, high limit play, attractive women with complicated debts. Access to cash via family assets, property, investments, payroll. You see them in high limit rooms with diamond rings and bracelets. It doesn't matter though, the casino will eventually take it. I've had women offer me rings in the past for cash. As Robert de Niro says in the film, Casino, "in the end - we get it all." I could write a book, at this point. I remember one woman who had worked within the music industry on the Pacific Coast ten years ago. Guitars on display stand, she couldn't play a note. I picked one up and she told me it was a replica left with her at a hotel. I played it, it was no replica, it had been professionally set-up, slight damage to the base near the strap knob. "Oh that's Keith's." I assumed a former tenant or friend. "Keith who?" "You know - Keith Richards." I did a double-take. "Steel Wheels tour, a lifetime ago. Left it in my hotel room, I was running the merchandising for the tour." "Do you have anymore?" "Maybe in storage, I have a lot of stuff. Not any use after the tour ended." This is the level. Imagine it. Unbelievable. Was she telling the truth? You never know with this demographic.

But now I'm starting to realize that I keep coming back eventually. Overall I've won more than I've lost but it's really not worth the time/stress and I'm sure I'm one of the few who actually has a positive balance from it. The worst thing that always kills me within is when I lose a lot of money and then return like 80% of it, I keep playing and usually lose everything than I want to fukin kill myself, I had so many lucky moments like winning back and then thinking I can make more, damn greed is the worst part of gambling...

I don’t know why people get so upset at the bailiffs. They’re just doing their job.
Yes, it’s not nice that they come to the door but you’ve entered a financial agreement/contract with the people or company you borrowed money from.
What did you think was going to happen if you don’t pay it back? It won’t go away. If you can’t afford to pay it back, don’t borrow it.

As a current addict, this is sad. I am losing my house and don't have a single penny to my name. I'm scared to dearth of being homeless but I have nobody to blame but myself. I wishi never started gambling. It's ruined my life and my future. In all honesty, once the bank sends a foreclosure and takes my house , that I'm just gonna end it all. It seems it's the only way out.
