Gatland, I'm proud of the team, the coaches and all the staff apart from whoever ironed those numbers on the shirts . Wales were jinxed from the off. Philippa Tuttiett nearly gets a ball in the head, Jamie Roberts not liking Wales as favourites, players were huffing and puffing coming off from pre kick off, Ref change, the numbers job done to them, Lineouts thrown away literally , Game lost at 30 mins. A lot of P45's need to be issued on Monday morning but not one for Gatland.

Very sad indeed for Wales - however they gave the game away. Also , Argentina were more on their game and deserved the win. Wales are a team which a currently rebuilding , so overall the Welsh lads are getting there. Gats has done very well in a short space of time. I do feel the future is bright for the Welsh international team . I feel the refs decision over the head Collison was pretty poor. Not even a penalty. Games can be won and lost on poor ref decisions. Dominated the first 30 minutes. But our own complacency at the set piece absolutely killed us. You lose 3 key lineouts in a row and start to lose consistency in the scrum and you open the door.
Sadly once the momentum swung we didn’t have the calm to stick it out.
Dickson’s a horrendous referee both ways. Adams should have been carded, Argentina should’ve had a minimum yellow for the shoulder to head contact. Spoilt the game

What a weird thing to say: "it didn't help with the referee getting injured"? Did you pay him good money? It seems Wales got the rub of the green after Peyper went off. Ok I just listened further... amazing how refs, reffing the same game can ref it so differently. World Rugby needs to step up to the plate to make all refs equal. It is bizarre that a team needs to prepare for a ref. The Bokke said the same thing the other day. It is ludacris!

It’s because some of the laws are based on a subjective opinion such as the scrums, advantage and jackals. You will find most of the time the ref gives the benefit of doubt to the attacking team. Especially on scrums. The advantage rule is so open to a refs preference rather than a set time. Each Ref has their own preferences of play so it’s correct teams get to understand that and play to those points. It’s part of coaching. Even the experienced captains can have an influence with the refs as their more known by them. Alan Wynn, Sexton, McCraw… Wayne Barns awarded a penalty based on a point made by Sexton. It happens.
It’s no different to goalkeepers who study penalty takers and get to know their preferred side.
Or as the Irish teams do with disruptions and slowing play by blocking out channels. This is player coached and if you watch more closely you’ll see that’s the case. It’s an interesting facet of the game that some teams coach into players. Its clever and It’s also experience. The Welsh have a lot of younger players still learning.

why change what ain’t broken, he can only do so much. There’s 23 boys that go on the pitch to do the job and when you have the likes of Elias who can’t even throw the damn ball properly, from day 1 he’s struggled. I’ll support the boys to the end but I’ll never blame the coach.

But at the same time how do we move on from Gatland if we don’t move him upstairs to a director position and bring in a new head coach. Stay on gatland you’ve turned this team around - but let’s not kid ourselves that that ref call was anywhere near being right and from being 2 behind we were penalised and suddenly 9 behind when it was an absolutely clear foul - direct contact to the head of a man on his knees unable to protect himself whose then taken off for a HIA - but nooooo - the tiny after whistle run into a turned shoulder on their feet which did nothing he penalised - didn’t have to be a yellow or red but it absolutely was a penalty - even the ref said there’s degrees of head contact ( which makes zero sense compared to the pre World Cup directives) so if that’s the case he knew that second head contact clear out was far more dangerous than the one committed by wales earlier - disgusting reffing - and in a game where we were 2 behind and could have cleared our lines and maybe scored a penalty or try - don’t forget we scored a try first and it was 3-2 in tries so it was a close game - and refs making terrible calls like that cost us badly

Gatland made a cowardly decision to include Lake in the 23 just because he was co-captain when Dee is the best hooker Wales have at throwing into the lineout and has been solid off the bench against Fiji and Australia, Wales had three opportunities to strike off first phase in Argentina's 22 and did not take one of them, Gatland has himself to blame.

@@Blacksheeps4929 I am over it onto the baabas game and the six nations, but a coach should be criticised when he gets selection wrong especially when selection is not done on merit. This was the last chance for the 'golden generation' Wales are going into the six nations with a 22 year old fly half who is not yet ready for international rugby and potentially Cai Evans at 15 I expect it will be some time before this team win anything, this was the last chance strap in for years of mediocrity.

@@Rhys78686 I'm not blaming Lake I'm questioning Gatland's selection for me Dee has performed better than Lake recently and is a far better lineout thrower and so much of Wales best rugby against Australia came from the lineout, I wouldn't be suprised if Lake goes onto become one of Wales greatest Hookers but he needs to sharpen up his throwing, the same with Elias, Wales would had that game wrapped up by halftime if Dee was on the pitch.

I can’t believe he’s saying Costellow will be a good player. Couldn’t believe he even got picked. We struggle for youth because in his last stint as coach he didn’t bring any young players through, just same team week in and week out and now we’re feeling the effects. If he thinks Costellow is going to be a top player I’d rather a new coach. Was crazy him even being near a pressured quarter final environment.
