Quick Question. Is Lost Box and Giratina the same?
Not always, Lost Box usually refers to the engine of cards that fuel your other plays and these cards are Comfey, Colress's Experiment, Mirage Gate, Cramorant, and Sableye. Giratina can be added as your primary attacker, but it doesn't have to be. Giratina can also be paired with Arceus VStar to make the ArcTina deck.

I'm buying all of these tomorrow to teach my nephew and niece to play but I myself haven't played before, only collect.
I wouldn't mind making a few proxies just to add to the fun for them to mix and change the decks up if you know of any.
Why aren’t the ex and v cards shiny?
These cards aren't legal for any tournament play, they're just for personal use or collecting, so I'm assuming that for that fact, they are not holographic so they are more easily able to be seen as not legal cards if someone tried to sleeve them with colored back sleeves.
I'm gonna buy them all tomorrow to teach my nephew and niece how to play the game! 😁
There's also variety to pin them against one another too. We may also buy sleeves to mix and make our own decks with them. They'll have fun I'm sure
