  • The Hollywood Brown Derby in Disney's Hollywood Studios is a replica restaurant of the famous Hollywood Brown Derby of Hollywood's Golden Age. This is Jay's favorite restaurant in Hollywood Studios and we went to see whether it still meets our expectations. We try their famous and classic Cobb Salad and Grapefruit Cake. There's also some newer items in here like Walt's Roast Beef Hash. See the atmosphere, decor and learn the history of the Hollywood Brown Derby.

We usually order the Cobb salad as the table appetizer and share it so we can still have it and get to order different entrees.

Also without question OUR favorite restaurant in all of Hollywood Studios! 🤩 Katie went for that world-famous Cobb Salad when we last dined there in late 2021, I went for what turned out to be what was quite possibly my favorite burger of all time. Catastrophically, said burger was a special at the time and is now gone off the menu 😭 Nothing at Disney sticks around forever. Glad to see that the remaining entrees continue to score high marks, though! I’m not big on mushrooms, but even so, Jay’s filet looked absolutely ravishing. GREAT portion size as compared to most gourmet restaurants outside of Disney! 🤩 Can’t wait to get back here for another meal someday.

The best! Is the burger you had the Wagyu Beef Burger? If so, that was one of my favorites of all time too. The Walt's Roast Beef Hash was 🔥. The biggest appeal of this restaurant, to me, are the items you can't find anywhere else. The Grapefruit Cake and Cobb Salad are unique and really good. Glad to see we're not alone in our Brown Derby fandom 😃.

I am not a blue cheese fan, but I did get the Cobb salad without it and really enjoyed it. It was so finely chopped I ate the whole thing with a spoon. I also ordered potato latkes as a side so I definitely was full. My father in law got the baked Alaska so I got to try that too. I would like to try the grapefruit cake next time, just have to save room for it!

I didn’t even think to eat it with a spoon! It’s so tasty and the perfect park meal. The grapefruit cake manages to taste so light, it’s so perfect and I’m not even a fan of grapefruit!

Thanks for the rec on the blood orange cider! I'm a huge fan of the Schofferhofer grapefruit, so excited to put the cider on my list. You reviewed the exact menu items I was eyeing for my upcoming visit to the Brown Derby!! I love escargot and grapefruit, so sad to hear the escargots were not melt-in-mouth consistency (as they should be) but even more excited now for the grapefruit cake! Have you tried the martini version?

We haven't had the martini version! It's on our list though. The cake is one of our favorites. Escargot I don't recommend. Best escargot I had on property was at Topolino's Terrace. Hope you have the best time here. The food is good, I wouldn't say it's the best but the atmosphere is unique and they have so many unique and delicious items.

@@ThemeParkFoodies thank you! And agreed, the escargot at Topolino's is very tasty. Dinner there is such an incredible experience
