Determinism says that your actions are based on your genetics and environment I.e an uninterrupted chain of causes, where does determinism say that you cannot care about the consequences of peoples actions. Just because the actions are determined does not mean we cannot care about the consequences of those actions and try to change them.

Does this mean our actions don't matter to us, I would say no they can matter to us even if we are not responsible for them
