Clean? This shit is beyond masterpiece out of every anime this year dished out, this fight goes miles ahead, so detailed and smooth including that insanely unique artstyle WiT always uses to make the show stand out in visuals.
Matsumoto’s charge is one of the most epic attack I’ve seen. No magic, slow mo or any fancy stuff used to create artificial tension, just the pure senses of speed and determination. Together with the absolute banger of a soundtrack, it just tells you he gave everything he had.

Exactly why Naruto's earlier seasons were better to look at than the later ones. Because for series about ninjas, the earlier ones are the ones that actually showed hand to hand combat techniques. The later ones were just about nuclear bombs and lasers and shit

Exactly!! That's why I love it so much! You can basically do the most over the top shit, ignoring physics or gravity just because it looks cool! Something that live action can't do. It's unlimited creativity
they can do it in real life with cgi or some people have tricks they use but all of it is possible I've seen movies pull of crazier things than some of these crazy moves but creativity is everything we are even in terms of existence so there's always a way but there are things that are harder to do like the way something can look in animation like atmosphere or some unique animation styles that make a character look the way it was intended to in animation there are a few things that only animation can beautifully show but it is art imitating life so the connection is always there..
problem with this specific anime is that u cant say the fights are very clanky or weird cause they are robots so they dont specifically move like humans for example like when vivy landed on her back and immediately dodged it looked very unrealistic but realistic enough because shes a robot i love those details
this scene was solely the reason I got into this anime but damn this anime is so much more than the fights. The stories, the characters, the music, and the animation made me stay. How is this anime still underrated is beyond me.

The cool thing about Yugo is definitely his fighting style, even fighting Diva a.k. Vivy and Matsumoto. The most cool is the Yugo kick at 0:51. Very amazing and very well animated.
I love how after Matsumoto slammed into him, he slammed into a wall, rolled a bit and then used the momentum of that roll to get back on his feet without even pausing
I just noticed also at 1:25, Vivy grab Kakitani's hand and twist so he'll drop the knife but instead rolled with the twist and proceed to kick Vivy. Just amazing choreo!

Something else I noticed while watching in slow motion was the way the “camera” shakes when the ground is shaking or when there’s an impact, like when Vivy kicks the box and he jumps over it. The small details in the choreography, the characters calculating each move, their facial expressions, the framing and camera work, sound effects, - I’ve rewatched this scene countless times but I appreciate it even more now. :o
I can't believe why this masterpiece isn't very known to the community. If Vivy got the same recognition as Code: Geass did, I will be crying, ofcourse this anime definitely deserve it!

The composer is one of Okabe's oldest pals and co-workers at MONACA, chances are they both influenced each other's styles considering the amount of years they've worked together, hence why some songs sound like they could belong in Nier

I honestly like this version of vivvy better, not that the og is bad or anything. But this diva has more personality, but I guess it makes more sense to go with Vivvy since the show is about AI’s understanding emotions.
What you're supposed to take away is that this isn't vivy at all. I'm not sure what happened between the previous episode and this one but I believe that vivy couldn't sing after the realization that she wasn't singing from the heart. She then gave herself a new mission there by creating a new soul. She kept her self hid away in the archive until diva died.
@@JudahDavis end of the metal float arc when shen witnessed a human taking his own life it short circuited vivy/diva into basically factory resetting herself since all ai's have a built in protect humans program regardless of their mission. We see this later with Yugos piano teacher but she was both before the metal float then she failed as an AI in a sense and shut down splitting her into vivy and diva. Diva had her mission to sing and vivy had her mission to complete the singularity project that's why she couldn't sing, it wasn't part of her and why the ending is so big, she was able to breach the 1 ai 1 mission mandate on her own.
This gotta be the best choreographed and animated fight scene this season. To say this fight was _CLEAN_ is an understatement
