- This is the first part of 12 000km service interval. This is major service. On SYM Jet14 200 at
12 000km is required:
Engine oil change, gear oil change, new spark plug, new air filter, new drive belt, roller weights, sliders and valve adjustment. I've done everything myself except the valve clearances, I let the professional do it... This is just first episode. Enjoy!
Ovo je prvi dio servisnog intervala na 12 000km. Ovo je veliki servis. Na SYM-u Jet14 200 na
12 000km je potrebno promijeniti:
Ulje u motoru, ulje u mjenjaču, svijećicu, filter zraka, remen, valjčiće i klizače variomata.
Potrebno je i podesiti ventile, no to sam prepustio profesionalcu. Ovo je tek prva epizoda. Uživajte!
On service they said, for gear oil you can also use 10w40 cause its almost identical specification like 80w90
@@MujoNovak I don't know. I've done service as dealer who sold me te bike explained and it's in user's manual too..
@@REDLINERUNNER I have Yamaha xmax 250, years ago. I want to buy gear oil at Yama dealer. They didnt have it at the time and service guy said that I can use 10w40 just like in the heal of outboard motors (boats). Only heat destroy viscosity of oil and there is not enough heat for that. In a car you can see same oil in manual transmision for 500.000 km, and nothing tear apart.
Diferent numbers is used to make more profit of the same thing.
@@MusicMath123 The gear oils and motor oils have completely different chemical structure. Completely different additive package...
I wouldn't recommend that. If your scooter recommends 80w-90 gear oil you don't need to buy it at dealer. You have internet stores that have premium oils like: Castrol, Mobil1 or Shell of correct grade. And anywhere else you buy it's gonna be signifficantly cheaper than dealer.
Good to see your not letting this pandemic slow you down. 12.000 km already. That's the same as I have my my KTM now, but the next service on it isn't due until 15.500 km. Great video.

NO i don't have feaver... I measured temperature twice. First time it was 36,2°C next time was 36,6°C which is completly normal.

In my owner's manual is 180ml. SYM Jet14 125cb.

180ml if your transmission was split apart and disassembled otherwise 170ml for 125 and 200. Only 50cc needs 180ml on gear oil change.

@@theblazzed2114 I have owner's manual too.. Only 50cc needs 180ml because the case is the same but gears are smaller so more empty room inside. Logic..

Actually I've never tried to modify it. Only stock form with genuine parts.

Wollten bei einem Freund Öl wechseln und ich glaube ich hatte noch nie irgendein Fahrzeug wo die einfüllschraube nicht gleichzeitig die kontrollschraube war. Dieser schwachsinn ist uns aufgefallen nachdem wir schon über 200 ml reingekippt haben und einfach nichts raus kam🙄
The correct amount for 50cc is 180ml, for 125 and 200 is 170ml because bigger displacement has bigger gears inside the same case. If you pour in too much it will blow out the seals and your transfer case (gearbox) will leak and will run out of oil without you even noticing..
@@REDLINERUNNER yeah we have the documents and dont Drive before i had time to investigate. I just want to say it's kind of dumb. Like that it's no easy way to check the amount.
In cars they made it to pour in untill it leaks out of fill hole...
hi oil recommended in sym manual is 85w140 why you use 80w90 ?
80w90 because my dealer told me so.

85w140 gear transmission oil for jet 14 injection??
That oil is for hot climate.. Dealer told me to use 80W-90..

Actually I don't. I haven't had such a problem. I work on my own bike, I'm not from dealership. It shouldn't be complex except if it requires a special tool..

Every 6000km...
Look in your manual...
Initial service is 500km, first regular service is 3000km only engine oil, 6000km engine oil, washing the filter mesh, geatr oil change, air filter and spark plug... 9000km is same as 3000km. 12 000km is same as 6000km but adittionally valve adjustment and CVT service. And every next service follows the pattern...
15 000 = 3000
18 000 = 6000
21 000 = 9000
24 000 = 12 000
