It is outstanding report 👍
Thank you :-)
I always check "like" before watching video because I know its gonna be good.😀
Thank you so much! :-)
I like your videos, I will find in them everything I need. 😉 Thx...
Thanks so much! :-)
The Vienna Airport is located in Schwechat.
Ahoj Pete ✋✋✋ This Regio Jet looks super 👍👍👍I enjoyed this video my friend ✋✋✋ Greetings from Warsaw
Część Piotrek! Thank you so much! Greetings from Prague :-)
Interesting! I didn't know regiojet served the airport. I do love them though, such great value, especially the food and drinks! 💛
From June 16 to August 31, RejioJet operated 2 trains per day to Vienna Airport. It was an extended existing line Prague - Vienna. It is assumed that from the new timetable (December 2022) they will resume this line again. I also like their services :-)
Thank you for the train ride and the views from the windows. As always, I enjoyed watching .
Thank you so much! :-)
Super video!
Díky moc! :-)
I watched your report from Pozlovice.
Thanks a lot!
Thank you!😊
What an awesome trip report presented! Regiojet is a great option besides the Czech Railway. Travellers seem to be much more favourable towards Regiojet due to the offered price range and punctuality if I'm not mistaken. It is a private operator, as I know, but with a low ticket price, it is something not so usual here in Malaysia. Even privatized national rail operator in Malaysia, KTMB sells tickets for around 50+ Ringgit and about 100 Ringgit for Business Class just for one way. Overall, keep up your great review in the coming!
Greeting from a train fan in Malaysia
Thank you so much! RegioJet is quite a popular carrier, the offer good prices and the occupancy of their trains is quite high :-) Greetings from Prague!
Thanks Pete.
Thanks Bob :-)
Vienna Airport is quality
Loving your trip report so far. No unnecessary advertising. Keep it up!
Thank you :-)
Thanks for another informative video.
Thanks for watching! :-)
Great video 😊👍
The colors of this train are looking great 😍
Thanks so much! :-)
Cool report, Pete! They do offer a very good service for your money. I've just arrived from Wien Hbf to Budapest with them on Standard (open-space), it was quite enjoyable. :D
Thank you! Yes, especially between Vienna and Budapest. I also tried all route from Budapest to Praha and it was good :-)
Thanks for the report on Regiojet - good to compare them to CD. Enjoyed seeing two Goggles hauling the cargo train at the end too....they never get old! 🤩
Thank you so much Linda! I also enjoyed meeting two Goggles, they are my favorite diesel locomotives :-)
Hodně povedené video 👍👍
Díky moc!
Nice!
Thank you :-)
You know, what's crazy? The declassed coaches are always the best. This low cost exDB Apmz¹²¹ is "the classic". I hate A/C with passion and always carry a pwr bank for longer journeys.
I must try it out from Bratislava to Brno at least.
The dining cars were sold and now are used by ŽSSK on R "Tatran" trains (if I know right).
Good trip well done video.👍
Thanks so much! Yes, these older coaches are the best, very comfortable! Yes, the former RegioJet's dining cars are now in service on ZSSK trains.
Super 😀👌👍Pozdrawiam :)
Dziekuje! Greetings :-)
Interesting video I enjoyed watching it. As I said before will do this trip from Bratislava to Prague on EC280 Metropolitan, booking on the CD website. I tried a dummy booking and it will be no problem, there was no option to book a seat. The same for my trip from Prague to Warsaw, no option to book seat. This as you know is a long journey about 8 hours so will probably book 1st class, still no option to book seat. Am looking forward to the rides, even though it is not unitl April 2023. Maybe we will pass trains in the day. Thanks for taking me along on this ride.
Thank you :-) Reservations from the seatmap are only possible in the direction from Prague. In the opposite direction, there is only the option of automatic reservation or selection by entering the car number and seat number. But lastly, the composition of the train often changes with Metropolitan trains. But if you want to book more than 3 months in advance, there is probably no train rescheduling available yet. Timetables always change in December, and with this change, the composition of the trains often changes as well.
@@PeteBrandy Yes, I know there are train schedule changes in December. I probably won't book until a few months before. I did however find a couple of Regiojets that depart from Bratislava, there is one that I am looking at. Relax car for a senior is like 15 eur so I might just take that.
I am shocked that this problem still exists, when I've been to Poland for the last time (in 2019) I had to spend a long time on booking system before I found some trains where booking of seats actually worked correctly. They say that problem is on Polish side, but I don't really believe to them.
Tenhle spoj je celkem zajímavý no :D
hey pete...im not sure about having a door behind me🐸🐸👽👽
Hey Dan .. it was the last available solo seat that day :-D
@@PeteBrandy sadly yoy u didnt have a seatmate🐸🐸
Thank you for your wonderful report. I'll go to Brno from Vienna airport soon.
May I ask how we change the train at Wien Hbf? Isn't it too complicated?
Easy to find a plat form? Thank you!
What factory built the coaches? :)
Thanks for the report. It's interesting to see they have a direct (through) service between Prague and Vienna airport, as Austrian stupidly flies between the two capitals. It makes no sense to operate a 400km flight, especially in terms of environment. Let's hope RegioJet will intensify this route and ÖBB and CD will follow suite, so as to eliminate the "need" for flights between PRG and VIE and bring Czech travellers straight into Vienna airport.
Thanks for watching! This connection would be great, but now it is not competitive with Austrian's flights. Currently, journey times are an hour longer due to long-term track closures on the line between Prague and Brno (trains have been running on the diversion route for the second year already). I hope the situation will improve next year when the main corridor will be back in operation. Until now, only some RegioJet trains run to Wien Flughafen, but from autumn only trains with a transfer to Wien Hbf are on offer..
Super video!
Dear Mr. Pete.
Could you tell me how long it takes from Vienna airport terminal 1 to the train station to take the Regiojet to Brno? I would be very grateful, since I have a trip and I arrive 40 minutes before the departure of the train to Brno. Many thanks in advance
I think 40 minutes from Terminal 1 (gate to the station) is OK, if you travel with cabin luggage and fly from Shenghen .. you can walk directly via corridor from the terminal to the Flughafen Wien station. But if you're waiting for your luggage or have to go through passport control, I can't tell you how long this will take.
Thanks Pete, I travel with cabin luggage and from Shenghen and I paid priority, so I think as well that I will have time. Thanks again for your answerd
which class has the most value
I think the class I travelled in :-)
Great video Pete, from what I understand I could use a Eurail pass on Regio Jet?
Thank you! Yes, but you need to purchase a seat reservation. And I think they accept only paper versions of Interval / Eurail pass.
@@PeteBrandy Thanks Pete, you have great videos, I never miss them
Does Czech Republic plan on improving their rail infrastructure? When I went from Vienna to Prague, we went a roundabout way from Brno...looking at the map Brno to Prague isn't that far, bu t we had to go north first, then west. Anyone have any idea if a mainline from Prague to Brno is planned? Or a line updated to take off time?
@@ringo7561 Currently, all trains on the route Prague - Brno run on a diversion route via Havlíčkův Brod. This is due to construction works on the main corridor, which should end in December this year, after which the traffic will return to the original route and the travel time should be an hour shorter.
@@PeteBrandy Thanks, yes, that will help a lot. Thanks for letting me know Pete
Nice video ale z regiojetu proste nice s tymhle dopravcem jezdim casteji proste nice video.
Pojedes priste prosim railjetem?
Low class has 2+1 seating whereas standard is 2+2. Which costs more?
Yes, they are former Deutsche Bahn 1st class cars. These cars are still in their original condition and have not been renovated, so they are currently being operated as a Low-cost class.
If you take ČD Pendolino (not this route) also 2nd class has very comfy 2 plus 1 seating !
Bro the best waggon in this train is the low cost waggon Avmz 109. Why people must book everytime the most expensive?
Yes it is. But Low-cost class must be booked in advance because it is usually the first to be sold out. I booked this journey 3 days before departure and there were only available seats in Relax and Business class.
Den před tím jsem jel s Railjetem z Brna do Vídně a zpět a jedna cesta stojí 500,- Kč (i s místenkou), přitom z Brna do Prahy to stojí asi polovinu.
Bernard 12° 19 peněz a PU 25 peněz.
@@PeteBrandy Jo, to máš pravdu.
Odjeli jste s Vectronem a přijeli s Traxem.
first
Díky :-)
Why do Europeans love train compartments?🙄
As for popularity, I think in Europe it's now 50/50 compartments vs. open plan. Btw. I personally prefer open coaches.
Compartments are really good when train is empty and you have it only for yourself, but when it's crowded, I definitely prefer modern trains with bus-like seats and open space. Problem in modern trains is that you don't have enough of space for your baggages above you or under seat, so you have to let bigger things somewhere far from your seat which I don't really like. On old trains with classic coupés, there were even 2 shelves above you, in modern trains, there is only one long shelf and you can't push neither bigger backpack there, it's like in airplane.
Compartments are very good for groups of people like friends or family.
Open coaches are better for solo travellers or couples.
Good job
