- A couple of months ago @timholtz has posted a video on his CZcams channel in which he has given us a tour through his studio. When I watched that video there was a question that came to my mind.
What if Tim Holtz's studio was a junk journal?
This question didn't want to leave my mind and I knew I had to try to turn his amazingly stunning room into a journal.

OH YOU WERE MADE TO MAKE THIS JOURNAL. The 2:55 time on the clock, the blue car with Tim's heart surgtery, Your Soul and Tim's Soul are joined in time and space. And the Mummy and Tim's mummy with 452, the tiny tiny musical men............ So many connections are not coincidense. You and Tim were meant to be intertwined in this lifetime. God and our Spiritual Guides do exist. I love your entire journal, and especially your moveable nutcrackers. Watching this video was worth every single second, every single second. You are a master in the world of journalling. And this journal is totally priceless. The time you spent creating this is massive and who knows what you will be creating after this !! I love the journal and all of the details and explanations of how you were either inspired by Tim’s room or how you were able to create almost exact duplicates of his room. You are so right in saying that the room is art! For me the front of the box that you created is complete artistic genius that only you could imagine and create. Louise, I’m blown away by the amazing creativity and accuracy of your journal. I think all those coincidences are a sign that you were on the right track. I’m so glad that Tim commented and I hope that you will hear from him again with his actual signature and an invitation to join his makers team. You are at least as creative as an of the other makers.
Back in the 1990s I was teaching at a scrapbooking and stamping sore and Tim came to Brisbane. I was the luckiest girl because my boss bought me a ticket to his day long workshop. It was so amazing to use his materials and learn from him. I had always loved his products and getting to meet him and learn from him for a whole day was incredible!

I watched this video and I literally sat in awe at all you’ve shown us and the stories you told. I had to give myself a few days to process it all before I commented, not that you need another comment on this video because you certainly have a ton of them. I am a professional artist and an art teacher so believe me when I say that this journal is a masterpiece worthy to be placed in a museum. Even more so, it is something that is so unique that it would be impossible for someone to even come close to replicating. Not even Tim himself could do what you did here. All the stories of how things simply fell into place for you shows that this journal holds an importance that you must capitalize on. Somerset Studios magazine, a favorite subscription here in America needs to do an entire issue just on this journal. I would enter it into shows and galleries with your video of it playing in the background. Selling it is not an option, not unless you get a million dollars, but you definitely need to have the right people look at it and publish a book or get yourself a position at a college that teaches book arts. This journal is your magnum opus. If you don’t know the term, it is like Beethoven’s Ninth, or Leonardo Da Vinci’s Monalisa. This video needs to be watched over and over again not just by your subscribers, but by any art student out there. What can I say… it’s an honor to have been offered the privilege of seeing and hearing the story of this journal.

Luise, this is by far the most fascinating crafting video I have ever seen on CZcams. I did not notice the length when I started watching, and I needed to go to bed but I sat there absolutely transfixed the entire time. What an incredible and heartfelt tribute to Tim Holtz, and what a unique and fantastic journal! It's the best journal I've ever seen. You have such amazing creativity and this really shows it off. Many people have crafting channels and there is a lot of recycling and copying other people's ideas. Not much is outside the box. But you have literally thought outside the box with this. Who else could have done this? Every page was just a revelation, with your incredible rare creative ability shining through. I would have watched another hour! I didn't want it to come to an end.I am so delighted to find that Tim has already watched it and commented, I'm sure that means the world to you. I said no, I just found her but had watched Tim’s tour so I came to see it and I don’t even have words for my reaction but I definitely had goosebumps at 3 different times while watching! I've heard other makers speak about your journal, and have wanted to see it for myself. It so happened that I Tim's Studio Tour video came up and played on its own, and then your video came on as a suggestion. Finally! I love the look of Tim Holtz's studio, always have loved the "industrial" look of the studio, so much so that I have mine set up with the same type of shelving. Enough about me. I love your journal! I enjoyed hearing about how you creatively came up with the materials to make the items on the box and throughout the journal. What a thought-provoking, creative, time-consuming, and enjoyable adventure you traveled while making this journal. The universe was providing you everything you needed even before you started on this journey. I mean, come on, the light bulbs for the marquee. That was not a coincidence. Great job!

This is so freakin amazing. I am blown away by your design and detail. This belongs in a Tim Holtz museum like Julia Child’s kitchen museum in Massachusetts! This is truly a special unique work of art. An amazing tribute to Tim who is truly a one of a kind artist/ designer.

You have done such an incredible job recreating Tim's studio. The tiny details, the synchronicities (goosebumps moments) - I think you created this with such love and care that it is sending good things out into the ART-iverse. I'm glad Tim got a chance to respond to your awesome creation, too - what a thrill. It's hard to pick a favorite detail but I found the dancing nutcrackers so charming! I thought you were pulling a tab on the journal card and then they started moving. You have a modern touch with old world craftsmanship. WOW!

Louise my first comment was about half way through the video. It is crazy how many things happened while you were making this journal. I think he is going to want to buy this journal from you. Luise, I just had to watch again! I knew there were things I missed the 1st time. I was right. 😊 So many times the Universe helped, nudged you in the right direction and probably even felt like it threw you against the wall on some of the coincidences. I can imagine the goosebumps and heart feelings that you got with each one.
