In a way it took me 30 years (was a patient of Dr Sarno's in 1991) . Yet once I found your videos 1.5 years ago (& nicoles) I listened relentlessly & felt better pretty quickly. I had evidence that built on itself. Your theory of "indifference" & self soothing were the 2 key things for me.
I love "consistent messages of saftey"

Remarkable to hear from New Zealand and a patient of Lorimer Moseley. I can hardly believe Jonathan spent the bulk of his lifetime with such challenges. Yet he was smiling. And swimming in 50 degrees! And a Pug! Dogs are the best therapists ever! BTW, when he was talking about one of the authors pushing himself by hitting golf balls, I bet he was remembering Steve Ozanich.

Yes, I believe he was speaking of Steve O. too.

You have to Feel you emotions, and don’t avoid them , it hurts if you do. We are humans we have to feel. I like what you said Dan , fear is the fuel . It’s wonderful to see this guy doing better. Rock on Jonathan. 😇

I think he is talking about Steven Ray Ozanich The Golfer). It was part of his "staying active" routine.

yeah i'm having a stress thing, my pain gets worse with stress and i get frustrated.. also, deep down i'm scared of things like my husband will get angry that he has been taking care of me for decades when it was all in my head and i didn't HAVETO be sick if i would have smartened up

To clarify - it's not like you did this. None of this is your fault. It's NOT in your head. The pain and symptoms are real. They just aren't caused by a faulty body. It's not a matter of being smart. This is where you ended up based on your life experiences. None of it is your fault.

@@PainFreeYou yes, caused by faulty processing, not a faulty body, still, i feel guilty.... even sarno, i found him while he was still PRACTICING, that's a lot of years to know about this stuff and not get better... i'm not sure i can put into words what i'm thinking... but i feel guilty and scared

Of the Sarno books, I like The Mindbody Prescription. I'm half way through my book but don't have a release date yet. If you want my best information, I have a video course and group coaching program. This is the fastest way to recover in my opinion. PainFreeYou.com/join for details.
