Yeah that 64 bit executable makes a huge difference. I played for like 12 hours and it didn't crash once. :O
So far SE doesn't have an SKSE which means no good mods. Also you can't mod it to look as beautiful as a properly modded original skyrim

You'd be surprise how close archers actually shot at people in the middle ages. In fact it was common practice to have your infantry occupy the enemy infantry while your archers move around the sides to get flanking shots, or shoot from above if they have the terrain advantage.

Now this is a battle during a civil war, this is what the base game should have had. The most you see with out mods or the console is a "siege" with only like 30 people to fight.
The original skyrim couldnt have more then 10 npcs fighting at the same time cause it missed multi-threading ( i guess ) thats on of the things fixed but pretty unnoticed
To realistically have a 2000 people fight would be exaggerated wouldn't you think? Seems like at most stormcloaks organize 200 per hold.

Altrantis yes it's all about the two handed weapons soldiers. They have the high ground in hand to hand combat
It's a combination of racial skill point attribution and weaponry. Generally, Stormcloaks natural racial bonuses are utilized as Nords have highly increased Light armor and Two-handed. At the same time, Imperials with their troops aren't optimally utilized as their natural racial skill bonuses are Heavy Armor and One-handed...but almost no Imperial troops wear heavy armor so the Stormcloaks actually have higher defense than them due to skill scaling AND offense due to 2-handed weapons being so much more powerful than 1-handed weapons.

i think is more heavy the fact that they use onehanded weapons, with no shields . its like having all the drawback of using twohanded weapons, without the dmg output :\
yes, while one on one stormcloaks probably one due to high damage, in larger battles imperials attack faster due to their lighter weapons. So they can swarm a stormcloak and stagger them until they die. Also, the Empire has magic users/battlemages so that's a nice advantage in larger battles where fireballs actually hit a lot of enemies instead of one lonely stormcloak.

Scentlesskhan96 Maybe this IS part of the Battle for Whiterun, but the Dragonborn was a elite fighter, so he was sent directly to the unit that goes into the city, while the rest fights outside. If you've played the beginning of The Witcher 2, you'll know what I mean.

No. There weren't any tactics in this whatsoever - it was just a giant moshpit of fighting NPCs.
Cancerous Goodsgt which better then the vanilla little battles in the game.
anime is good To be honest i thought the same but that glitch that makes npc fly seems to be the reason why Bethesda decided to not have this massive war.
Plus lower-end machines wouldn't have a good time.
