- The Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department responded to a call with multiple dwellings on fire. Upon arrival, crews were met with heavy flames from one structure, while the second structure was just getting going.
Fortunately for everyone, these structures were vacant and the biggest obstacle posed at this fire was a downed energized electrical line. It was daylight and this hazard was quickly discovered and really a non issue for crews.
Quick work was made of entering the dwellings, searching for squatters, and extinguishing the flames.

And thanks for watching...
It amazes me the amount of effort that goes in to saving a vacant house
You would think that at some point in this fire it becomes almost a training exercise since the buildings are vacant and abandoned.
it is someones property and it means something to them...we don't base our efforts on financial status.
where abouts was this at? also good work to all of the 1st responders across the world. thank you for putting your lives on the line every minute of everyday to protect us.

Great video, thanks. Always useful to listen in on comms.
Glad to hear!
Wow!! I'm blown away you guys handle live power lines like that.
Tell us how you would handle them...
@@thejfrd2490 The power company. We don't touch lines. We don't even pull meters.
What they did is fine...the highest voltage present in relation to the ground is just 120 volts....there is more danger from the flying molten metal when the cut is made.
@@grandinosour Haha, volts aren't what kill you. Amps, current and load kill you. FYI it takes 5 milliamps to kill you.
Even though no heavy fire load contents on the interior still these types of houses still pose a high risk for suddenly collapsing. One of my best friends we both went into the fire service around same time was an incredible senior captain with Houston Fire Department (HFD) was killed when while searching for a reported trapped person in one of many Houston crack houses (about same size as these structures) when without warning entire ceiling roof/rafters suddenly collapsed on him killing him instantly. He had been to 100s (if not 1000s) of structure fires and it was the small (900 sq ft) crack house that killed him. Very tragic loss! You guys staff safe!
Collapse was not a major concern here at all
When that FF was using the PoleClip to cut the power line and the line arced, i jumped about 6" off my bed, no lie! Scared the crap out of me!
Hahaha
You all did great job
thank you...sorry that this house was not saved.
Awesome job!!
Thanks for the visit
They look like nice houses, why are they vacant ?
I cannot answer that
Looks like Detroit. I am sure the cause is mice with matches.
👍
Detroit has many issues with fires...not sure we are there yet.
@@thejfrd2490 let’s hope you never get there!
@@FloridaCatholicGuy absolutely! I don't see that happening.
These look like nice brick houses❗️What a waste❗️So many responsible people could use decent homes.
they can be rebuilt
Looks like old base housing at the old NAS Cecil Field.
very similar
Great job JFD! Yes I would say multiple houses multiple points of origin = arson as its finest!
agreed
Looks like a single story version of the Brix on La Belle st🤣
You are correct.
How were they all on fire?
My guess would be arson.
Arson?
IDK...most likely
Nice job to thr firefighters. Wondering if this was an insurance scam....seems odd. Arson at the least? Seems like it...
doubt it...but perhaps
😮
Thanks Conner
Tyler max get the crew ready over
thanks
Was this an actual fire or a planned training mission?
We do not do live training like this...this was an actual fire.
If you listen, it opens with the actual 911 call.
@@thejfrd2490 It was interesting when you did. Part of a training evolution long ago and it was kind of funny watching the rats running out of the house and leaping from the attic when it reached W3 status.
Tyler Mac you got ah house on fire trucks need too be on service
?????????????????????????????????
Arson?
it is very suspicious
😮
Thanks Connor!!
